Afflictions of the mind occur as easily as afflictions of the body. An effect that causes you to temporarily hate those you normally love and vice versa, or one that causes you to give voice to any thought that occurs to you no matter how cruel, or others that alter the mind in various ways - I have some experience with the fallout from these.
