Jean is silent through Eren's words. Perhaps he had thought that, too. Since he hadn't really gone through loss like these before. Maybe he believed that no one he deeply cared about would disappear, since it hadn't happened.

The reality of it sucked.

"I want to find a way to make it true. I don't-- I can't-" Jean swallows. "I can't let Marco disappear."

He would just be gone again. Possibly never to return.

"Mikasa and I are soulbound so we can't get lost from each other. But everyone else. I don't want anyone else to go back, since our world is just a deathtrap."
