About My Character:
Mal hails from a reclusive tribe of mystic Viera who lived deep in the Golmore jungle, and was raised to believe that he is an extremely ill-omen because he was born with white eyes. He spent his childhood as a heavily neglected social pariah until he was handed off to Garleans bound for occupied Doma around age eighteen, but was able to escape to Kugane where he was put to work as a server in a gambling house.
It's here that he was taught to read and write Hingan, learned how to read people, and developed a taste for tea, poetry, and fine textiles. When he was eventually traded off to a merchant in Ul'dah fortune decided to do him a solid that left him free to choose his own path — which is when he made his way to Thaumaturge's Guild and found himself picking up the mantle of Hydaelyn's chosen. I have a more extensive tribe / history lore dump here, but this is the basic run-down!
Personality-wise Mal is a quiet, observant individual who is still learning how to accept care and affection from others, and is still wrestling with the conflict of being appreciated by so many while also believing himself ultimately responsible for all of the pain and anguish in their lives. The way he sees it, if he can compensate for it in any way by turning his "misfortune" towards their enemies while aiding those in need? That's what he'll do. He struggles to express himself in words and has a tendency to try and explain himself through gestures and body language, and he is easily spooked when strangers come on strong and open with offers of friendship.
Tea is his favourite drink, candied crickets are his favourite food, and Black and White magics are his preference on the battlefield (at his current canon point he only has BLM and WHM). Important to note is that Mal is rarely seen without his white whittret Itachi, who can often be found sleeping around his neck like a very cute little scarf!
CR I'm Looking For: Friends, enemies, all that good stuff, but I'm especially looking for more magical weirdos who can be magically weird with him. He aware that he can seem a little rude and standoffish in the beginning if he isn't sure what to make of you, and can also default to gentle manipulation if he thinks knowing you would be of some greater benefit. Ultimately, though, he does have a good and warm heart, he just needs to figure out how to use it properly!
Plots I'm Looking For: I'm gonna see how things shake out for the first month or so before trying to plot out a character arc properly, so for now my focus will be on getting him to learn more about what's going on here!

CR I'm Looking For: Everything, really. I figure most CR will start as negative because he's just not terribly nice and he kind of doesn't give a shit either. But, hey, he'll try.
Plots I'm Looking For: I think the most important lesson he needs to learn is How To Make Friends. I really would like him to learn how to trust others again and meet people that do not affect his mood in a negative way. Since, so far, the only persons he opens up to are the Traveler and Nahida (Goddess of Wisdom). So like, Big Friendship Plots. But also just fight shenanigans or discovering new areas.

About My Character: Nenonen is the result of some p horrible human experimentation to see if there was a way to expose people to Essence and give them superpowers...without driving them crazy and/or dissolving them into goop. What si Essence, you ask? Basically it's this kind-of Eldritchy, kind-of otherworldly stuff that humans found and decided to power their cities with, only for some weirdos to discover that consuming it may or may not give you telekinesis/buffed strength, vitality, intellect, etc. Some slightly-less weirdos used it and broke space and time.
What happens when you expose developing human babies & their moms to an effton of Essence? SURPRISE, it Does Not End Well (for the mom). Nenonen looks human, but they are actually sexless and don't age at the same rate as normal people and who are resistant to, but not immune to, Essence exposure. And no superpowers at all
One other side effect of their being Essenceborn is that Nenonen's blood and tears are made up of Essence which, if consumed, has the following fun effects:
- FEELING REALLY GREAT AT FIRST
- Which gets a bit addictive
- And then turns you into a crazy person
- And eventually you die
- Also, it'll cause any organic/plant matter it touches to wither to maybe don't water your plants with it
CR I'm Looking For: Anything and everything, but especially people to People with, people to harass (in a good way IT'S A GOOD WAY, SHIGERU), people they can explore the world with, people who will be like uhhh no it's not normal that you lived in a research facility your whole life, people with medical knowledge etc. who can maybe help them out sometimes, other non-humans they can bond over being not human with, etc.
Plots I'm Looking For: Maybe one day eventually something to do with their toxic blood?? idk, for now I'm happy just getting settled.

About My Character: Bakugo is one of those characters where I would be genuinely surprised if someone told me they had no idea who he was. He's just kind of everywhere since he's, as some people would say, a little meow meow.
But as for his actual character, he's more complicated than he seems. On the outside, he's loud and aggressive. Immediately on the defense even when a person compliments him, and he swears worse than a sailor. He's a character that would probably be annoying and hard to get much positive interaction with, if it weren't for the fact that his sole drive in life is to be a Hero. And after months and months of training and character development, he's at a point where he's willing to risk his life to save others-- despite keeping his aggressive demeanor. He's got a heart of gold, and if you're able to get close to him he'll protect you with everything he's got.
He's also kind of a comic relief character in the series, at least in the early seasons and I like to play with that and make threads silly where I can with Bakugo's insane goblin behaviour. He goes from 1 to 100 very, very fast.
CR I'm Looking For: It's cliche but every kind of CR! As I said before Bakugo is easier to get positive CR with than he looks, but he's also easy to get some fruitful negative CR if you're a villain looking for a hero to piss off! He always needs friends, mentors, and people to beat the shit out of so I'm really flexible with CR!
Plots I'm Looking For: No real plots at the moment! Just going with the flow for now.
