schrodingerscockroach: (Resigned but okay)

It is a thought Wash tries to not think about. It gets kind of existentially upsetting.

Freelancer has been so long ago, but it had been so much. The loss of his friends a big part of it. He had spent three years, focused only on repairing his fractured mind, and get revenge on those who put him and his friends in this situation. It had been a foundation to try and build himself up again, to create Recovery One.

Maine had been the last Freelancer he'd seen alive besides Carolina and it's been so long now.

He doesn't think he could ever forget them, not with how important they had been in him figuring out how to even try to be him again.

Just like the Reds and Blues and Choco.

Some people just become a part of you, for better or worse.

Wash looked to Maine and he smiles. Something fond and melancholic at once. Putting his hand over Maine's and squeezing it. I know.

Pulling away after a moment to go check on the food. Really don't want that to burn.
