Maria's head tilts up further as the armored figure straightens. They are at least two feet taller than she is. She's still uncertain if there is a human under all that or if it's a robotic creation. It's definitely not easy to tell by the way they move. Though if it was a mechanical being, they didn't look like something that her cousin created (at least, compared to what she had seen of his creations so far).

The answer was masculine sounding. Calm and steady. She relaxed a little and smiled as she peered up at the mirror like visor in the helmet. She could see herself reflected in it and saw no hint of a gaze from within. Yes, he was definitely intimidating, but she didn't get a sense yet that he was a danger to her. She shook her head at the question.

"Not exactly. I'm a Spring power holder too, but I haven't actually tried any spells yet. I've read a lot about it though!" She stepped closer to the table, peering at the plant. "I came here to see if I can try it." She frowned in thought for a moment or two. "One thing I read was that there are emotions that are associated with the different seasons. Maybe that's a key! Spring is associated with things like desire, hope and joy." She looked back up with a bright curious gaze. "Maybe if you think of something that really makes you happy while you focus on the plant, it will work!"
