[ She worries a bit that she'd leave her new friend sad if (when) she falls asleep, but it would be crueler to turn the little guy over to someone else. ]

All this time I just needed a venting machine. Who knew? [ She's beyond thrilled with this development. Both creatures get thorough pettings! ]
