For the most part, Shez follows the same steps as Byleth had: careful positioning of the claw, a short wait so it'll stop swinging, a smooth descent as the pincers firmly grab around the hideous plush of choice. The only real difference is the catch: once the claw rises again, and just as it does the customary little jolt, Shez apparently attempts to counter the shake with several taps of his hand on the control stick, followed by a single push of the (now deactivated) claw drop button.
Much to Byleth's happiness -- or dismay -- the trick seems to work, as his coveted prize falls down the receptacle with a soft little thud. Crisis averted! ]
