[This is why Cassandra hates taking it easy. When she can't be alert and on her feet, bad things happen. The last time she was incapacitated, Rapunzel got trapped in a haunted pub with her dad and a bunch of those weird friends of hers. Now, after recovering from nearly being crushed to death by Varian's giant automaton, there's... this. The sight of an endless snowscape makes her stomach turn with uneasiness - it reminds her too much of that snowstorm, the one summoned by Zhan Tiri's power. Her hand itches to reach behind her, to grab her sword-
But then everything shifts, and she's ushered into the meeting room. As Olwen speaks, the frown on Cassandra's face deepens, and her arms cross over her chest. By the end, she looks very much like a tightly coiled spring, ready to snap at any moment.]
If you're having so much trouble tethering us to this world, how about you... I dunno. Just not tether us? Let us go home? [She huffs.] My world has problems too, you know. And I was trying to help solve that crisis before I got dragged here.
[B; Party in the Underground - Part 1]
[So you want to check out the Underground Mall. Awesome. It seems like a lot of other folks do, too! So many people, so many shops... it's easy to let your attention wander. But hopefully it won't wander too much, or else you might miss the frustrated, angry yelling as a young woman is dropped from the ceiling directly into a now not-so-neat display of pillows only a few feet away. She struggles for a moment, digging herself out of the fluffy hell she's found herself in, grumbling the whole time until she finally manages to push herself to her feet.]
Oh come on! [She's just. Yelling to the ceiling.] How does anything in this place make sense?!
[A moment later, something else falls from the ceiling - or rather, it glides gracefully down. A small brown owl hoots and circles above the young woman, dipping lower and lower until it lands on her shoulder.]
A little warning would have been nice. [The owl hoots again, and the young woman grumbles again.] I'm not sure I like that tone...
[C; Party in the Underground - Part 3]
[Once Cassandra has finally had some time to process everything, to wrap her head around all this new technology and how different the people and their habits are from Corona... she decides to explore a little. If she's gonna be stuck here for a while, she might as well get a good grasp of her surroundings and all this place has to offer, right? She'd popped into and out of a few of the stores and restaurants, more just to scout them out than to buy anything. Cassandra is a woman with simple tastes, after all.
Eventually, though, she finds herself at the vending machines, brows furrowed as she looks from one to another to another. What's the point? If the shops here already sell this stuff, then why stick it in a bunch of containers like this? It's just an annoying extra step to buy something. Ugh.
But of course, the Pokeball Vending Machine catches her eye. That's something she certainly hasn't seen in her exploration of the mall so far.]
I guess if I'm going to mess with anything here, it might as well be this.
[After she pays for the Pokeball, she holds it in her hand for a moment, humming as she tosses it in the air and catches it. Not really all that heavy, so it can't be a weapon. The shell is hard, but it's light - maybe it's some new form of shotput ball, but smaller and built for even greater distances? Out of curiosity, she moves to a less crowded area away from the vending machines and tosses the ball - and to her surprise, it bursts open in a flash of light. On instinct, her hand reaches back for her sword, but when the Totodile in the ball materializes... all it does is let out a happy little cry, waddling over to her.]
... Well. can't say I was expecting that.
[She sounds marginally less annoyed than she usually does as she crouches down, reaching out to pat the little blue gator on the head. It wiggles under her hand, happy for the pets, but soon enough it leans back and - CHOMP!]
Augh-! You little- [... But Cassandra trails off, when she notices the happy look on the totodile's face still hasn't faded. And after the initial bite, the gnawing against her gloved hand doesn't... hurt all that bad? It's like...] ... I guess a little guy with teeth like yours must teeth a lot, huh? Let's find you something better than my hand, though. You're not gonna be able to get away with that for much longer.
[Her voice is... not soft, exactly, but there's a noticeable lack of an edge this time. It's probably the gentlest Cassandra can get in public.]
