[It was ...a weirdly calming feeling looking out into that frigid expanse. He was certain that he was in some kind of dream, which is why he isn't immediately freaking out. Not even seeing a person here or there in the distance set him off, though he kept his distance.]
[When instead he is transported to the next location, and given the message, that is when things start to sink in. He is not longer in awe of that dreamy, cold, yet beautiful place, he is now facing the increasingly horrifying reality that he's been displaced. He's been displaced against his will, and he's being given grandiose expectations. By the time the man stops speaking, Mayoi can already feel a crushing weight on his chest as he tries to sort it all out.]
[No, none of this can be right. Why would any entity or power that be see fit to drag him in? He's useless? In every sense of the word? Powers? What is this absolute nonsense. And he's being expected to help? To save a world? Oh, he wants to throw up, he can't do this, he can't handle these kinds of expectations. He's worthless and they've got the wrong guy. And now, of course, there is this business about having to touch other people...? He's going to die here. He'll shrivel up and die alone in some corner where no one will find him, just like some filthy bug. He will disappear! He will-]
[Oh. Oh, he can't breathe. He's having a panic attack.]
H-Hiie....H-help...help meeee...!
[Seemingly out of nowhere, this purple haired teenager has started gasping for air, clutching his chest and now he is sinking to his knees while he tries to pull himself together. It's not working very well, however and all he manages to do is making himself more upset, choking out sobs while trying to get air back into his lungs. Perhaps someone can help him out...? At least before he soaks everyone in the room with water.]
[Outside| Anywhere]
[He's ...doing better! He's adjusting. He's coming to terms with this place and he found a little apartment to hole up in, assessed the building for hiding places, and decided to take a look around.]
[He steps outside, like really steps outside for the first time, and the first thing he does is look to the skies as a particularly large airship flies over. To say his jaw drops in the most unbecoming way is an understatement. Mayoi is a reader, and he knows what an airship is. He's even seen them, technically, in a VR setting, but there is something unmistakably breath-taking about seeing it for real, and he's caught staring up in stunned silence as it passes over.]
Oh...
[He's like. Crying. It's incredible. What the hell is this place???]
[Underground Party.]
[He's ...a little in awe of this underground place, too. Of course he found it without meaning to. A place full of secret entrances is not so hidden from someone who is accustomed to looking for such things. Ah, his family would find such a thing fascinating, he's sure. Perhaps when he returns he can...]
[He can't get hung up on thinking about that. Best to start getting a lay of the land so he can understand his situation. Like with the ES building, he'd like to know every inch of where he's meant to inhabit, no matter how big or small.]
[By the end of the day, Mayoi has spent his already extremely small social battery, but he's done a lot of shopping. Nothing exciting, as he is certain his funds will dry up fast if he isn't careful. This is nothing new to him, he remembers the vice grip of a budget he had when ALKALOID was still in debt. He's gotten himself just some necessities and a few things to keep his hands busy. Hobbies are a necessity, thanks.]
[He passes the vending machine with the pokeballs and it practically calls to him.]
Where ...have I seen something like this before...?
[Oh well, let's put a coin in and see what he gets.]
[Ooc: feel free to wildcard me, too!! You can also hit me up at takatorabatta for any plotting!]
