Most certainly- back home someone receiving their starter is the first step to a journey in learning about, and seeing more of, our world. A partner to learn and grow beside, to take care of one another. [A small gesture towards Quaquaval and Sobble, just in sight.] At least some care is very simple, such as feeding, and making sure your partner gets plenty of fresh air and exercise.

My friend is a professor after all, and I was once a scientist before becoming director of the Academy in our region. [They could try and ensure everyone had the information they needed, at least.

Quaquaval kept that wing right where it was, but only when Sobble was ready -with the pokémon's own permission- would the larger pokémon lift to cradle it in his wings. A better view, and still that protection of a stronger pokémon there. We will go back to your trainer, for you to meet better, when you are ready, more or less.]
