So Troy figured she might be new, and approaches her when she takes a seat. Figured he'd help out another otherworlder or join forces with them to help better understand this world. But the closer he got, the more he got to see that she's fumbling with the phone and speaking out loud, so he uses that as a way to call to her attention ]
