While Nina starts beating the snot out of the guy she took down with her, Hijikata sets the remaining pair's shoes on fire, prompting them to kick them off in a panic. (If he didn't have his aura shield he'd have set their entire outfits alight, but only for a half-second before turning the fire harmless - still, they're lucky that he can afford to go easy on them.) While one of them kicks his shoes across the room he disarms him and elbows him in the gut, effectively downing him. Swerving around to the third guy he finds him aiming to put a bullet through his forehead (this dude got his shoes off even faster than his peer!), only for the tepig (which he let drop to the floor moments ago when all hell broke loose) to sink its teeth into the gunman's ankle.
A few seconds later Hijikata has two of visible three guns in his belt - the last one being with Nina's guy - and both "his" men on the ground on their stomach, hands cuffed on their back. He quickly checks them for any other weapons, pocketing any that he finds, and finally spares a glance at Nina (he didn't hear her cry out, so she seems to have it under control!).]
