Given how the tall man stumbles slightly over "cute," Reiner guesses that isn't a part of the man's usual lexicon. An oddity in some ways. But for the most part, it's just another thing to like about the guy. (In addition to that excellent height, of course.) It's nice to know that such a man would use "cute" even if it doesn't come naturally.
What does seem to come naturally is "chelonians," a word Reiner has never heard in his life. Maybe it's something unique to the stranger's world? Or maybe it's from a language Reiner doesn't know?
The Eevee's yawn promptly interrupts Reiner's musings. He smiles at the vulpine creature, greeting its yip with a friendly, "Hey there, little guy. Did you have a nice nap?"
A rhetorical question; it's not as though the Eevee could answer.
Then Reiner raises his eyes up (and up and up) again, meeting the stranger's. "Your Pokémon must trust you already to be able to sleep so soundly."
