[There was a soft smile offered to the Snivy once they settled to eat, closing the 'lunchbox' for the moment since neither Houndoom or Litten would be interested in even a snack yet. Sharing was something he tried to help along early with those of his own.

More so at home, given he tended to starters when there was a new student or more arriving. Still, important now.]

Oh yes, quite skilled at ambush hunting- Snivy tend to go for small mammals, but certainly appreciates meat from larger creatures. They also photosynthesize, but the meat is an important addition to their diet. [Not all Grass Types could survive on sunlight alone.

Even if unseen, the faint but warm smile could probably be heard in his voice-]

I am glad to help, honestly- and I do. I once spent much of my life researching- studying them in the wild, and now I'm director of an academy to help young trainers properly take care of their pokémon partners and themselves. [Safety and learning how to work together was the foundation of many great things.] A pokémon finding you worthy of helping them grow stronger is quite a bond, and the friendship that follows is a powerful thing.

They are mysterious, but wonderful beings that share the world with us- and I dare say we may not have survived as long as we have if they did not decide to help us. Live together as we do in the world I am from.
