[ The new game (vending machine) doesn't seem much like a game to Reiner. At least, not compared to the other ones he's seen while wandering around. To Reiner, the food dispenser seems more like gambling—something Gabi is apparently really good at—but what does he know?

Reiner notes his cousin's improving mood, happy to see it but still confused about what happened at the virtual shooting range. Maybe his older self would have a clue. (It's probably weird to feel jealous of himself, but Reiner certainly does.) ]

You did great.

[ He smiles at Gabi, but it's evident that he's slightly distracted. He reveals the reason soon enough, clearing his throat as they walk deeper into the arcade, then saying, ]

Hey, Gabi. You know, it's okay to be better than me at stuff. [ He sticks his hands in his pockets so he doesn't fidget. ] I don't know what I was like when I got home, or if you saw me butting heads with Porco, or what. But I promise I won't get mad or jealous. I'm here to cheer you on.
