Believing in yourself is a lifelong project, I think. Even confident people struggle with it sometimes. Anyone who says they never waver is full of it. You're doing fine. [ She's sure of that. He seems wonderful. She can see why Red Son was taken with him despite being "enemies" at first. ]
[ Change one thing about her past... the challenge is deciding which thing. Should she save her father, or her brother, or her twin, or Haji? Or admit her feelings to Haji sooner? Should she die alongside Diva, when she should have? Would she go back and undo the poisoning that had her nearly kill a dear friend and left her chained up for five long days? Tried harder with Nem? Spent more time getting along with her unitmates? ]
There's so much I'd change. I guess the thing that would do the most good is... the man who owned me also had my twin sister, but he kept her locked away and tortured her. By the time I found her and let her out [ pretty much accidentally, since Saya was so sheltered she had no idea what captivity even was ] she wasn't really messed up. So I'd change that. I'd find her sooner and help her. All she ever wanted was a family, but she hated humans after what was done to her -- I can't blame her for it really, but I had to stop her all the same.
[ Thanks to how she recovered her memories in Imeeji, she's very Team Diva Deserved Better. Not incidentally she wouldn't have had to nearly eradicate her own species in the process of stopping the whole thing. ]
So I'd change that. It would save a lot of people.
