About My Character: The secondary protagonist of the Fodlan games, Shez is a friendly mercenary, very easygoing and laidback with a dash of sass for flavor. Directionally challenged, a bit of an oblivious dumbass at times, but surprisingly capable of keen insight into people's characters and feelings. By far the most emotionally stable person in Fodlan, but that bar is... not very high. Can and will be a friend's biggest cheerleader, but not afraid to be blunt when the occasion asks for it; whether you're a noble or even a royal, don't expect him to mince words!
As a warrior, he's primarily a dual-wielder swordsman with a strong affinity for dark magic. His Weird Powers include growing a sword right out of his hands, and some kind of spatial manipulation that allows him to distort an enemy's perception of his positioning, and also warp across greater lengths in the battlefield with Shadow Slide. He's also a vessel for Arval, an Agarthan entity whose mission is to slay a god--or rather, The Goddess of Fodlan. If he spaces out on occasion, it's because he's talking to said entity in his head.
CR I'm Looking For: I'm down for anything and everything tbh! But some good fits for him would be: - hot messes; everyone in Fodlan is a steaming pile of bullshit issues and while he's not the type to offer Guidance, Shez makes for a great support figure, and his advice will range between pure idiocy (that somehow pays off) and genuinely heartfelt words of encouragement. sometimes mistaken for flirting if you're bi and thirsty. - dark magic users and high tech types; because of his clearly Agarthan roots, he has a Natural Affinity for these types of things, and it'd be fun to explore more of that in a setting with ample opportunity. Want a highly enthusiastic buddy/pupil? He's your guy! - competitive types; Shez already has his One True Rival, but he definitely has a competitive streak and will put up a good fight no matter what! Sparring partners, or quest partners that he can sass and banter with (think LOTR Legolas and Gimli), or even some dumb video games he can yell at. Would probably be into sports if sports were a thing in medieval fantasy chess land tbh.
Plots I'm Looking For: Tying up with my interest for CR with dark magic users, I'd love to dig deeper into his origins that I have headcanon'd because this game REFUSES to drop some DLC and backstory. That aside, I'm just vibing and seeing where the wind takes me, in true merc fashion. Also have an ongoing Quest top level and a TDM top level for some easy first intros!
