Childe "I Can Make Her Worse" Tartaglia ([personal profile] monoceroscaeli) wrote in [community profile] seasonsgreetings 2023-02-26 04:43 am (UTC)

[He laughs, thinking of newspapers running a gossip column about the two of them. He can see it now, The Steambird picking it up somehow and using it just to sell papers like some kind of cheap tabloid, causing a ruckus in Inazuma and crushing a bunch of teenage girl's dreams in Snezhnaya. It actually sounds funny, but it would never come to fruition back in Teyvat, not while they reside here.

So for now, Tartaglia lets his mind relax and enjoy himself, letting his head fall back down to rest on the ground beneath him. Because for the moment, he's silent, listening to Yoimiya's reasoning for putting a small amount of trust in him. He's more than aware that what he did is praiseworthy, but it's so very rare for someone who knows who he is and what the Fatui stand for to give it so freely and so earnestly. He appreciates it all the same, smiling softly as a warmth spreads in his chest.

It's nice that someone actually wants to get to know him for him, with no scheme involved and no other secret motivations.]

Sounds to me like I've earned myself a second date.

[As if it even were a question, the cockiness in his voice not dialed down at all. But it's an admission on his part that what this was- the two of them enjoying each other's presence, holding her in his arms- is a date. And he's glad for it, because he also wants to get to know her a little more.]

But we can figure out the details of that after this one is over. For now, I'd like to enjoy this nice little show. Haha, are you comfortable there?

[They did sort of awkwardly fall over.]
