[ With the two looking at one another, it would be so easy to see how those eyes of Ayaka's, with a gaze filled with determination, soften when he assures her that he will be there for her. Cloud's words and actions make her feel so light, and it doesn't feel like she's carrying the weight of the world on her shoulders anymore.

Ayaka's mentioned it to him, written to him, time and time again, of how grateful she is to be with him, to be his friend, and to love him. Cloud could do no wrong in her eyes. He's given her a space to be herself, where she feels and safe and comfortable to be this vulnerable. To be this imperfect. And her appreciation for him that sends her heart soaring makes her eyes watery, but she doesn't fight it. They are happy tears, at least, and she does not look away from him, either.

Especially not when she tells him again: ]

Thank you, Cloud. My Prince. [ She leans on his hand a little as she laughs, finding it a little embarrassing that she's crying again. ] You always catch me.

[ One hand lets go of the hand on her lap, so that she can hold onto the one that is cupping her cheek. He's caught her again, made sure she wouldn't fall. Not just anyone would be able to do something like that. Not just anyone could make her heart race, make her cry from being so overwhelmed with happiness, or make her smile the way she does now. It is a kind of happiness reserved solely for her Prince. ]

Knowing you're there... I know I can achieve anything.
