[Kaeya didn't see a point either but come on, who wouldn't want to learn more than one? He rather envied the Traveler for their ability to use more than one element.]
Being knocked over is hardly much. Just inconvenient.
[And he didn't really see anything. Just got knocked off balance and onto his ass. No big deal. But he wasn't going to sit here and push Diluc into actually playing around with his new ability. He liked to needle the other man, but only when it was entertaining. Badgering him over this was hardly all that fun.]
I suppose we are all beginners at this.
[He sighed softly, holding his hand out once more to try and ignite the fire again. He leaned back on his other hand. It was a little frustrating that it seemed to take a couple tries, mostly because he could feel his Vision trying to circumvent what he was doing. It was all subconscious, as Diluc had guessed, so Kaeya still registered the reasoning behind it.
There was a spark and the fire came to light again, blue as usual. It seemed to flicker, as though sparking to stay alight, but he felt no heat still. It was odd, as it was the heat that normally made him nervous.]
I do wonder why we even got these if we already have powers.
[He knew some here had no powers, so he could see how it would benefit them. But for those already with some kind of ability? What was the point?
His thoughts were suddenly interrupted when he suddenly found his glove beginning to catch fire. While he felt no heat, the fact that something on his hand was on fire had him startling badly. He could deal with Hilichurls swinging their fiery cudgels with ease, but his own clothes? He cursed and he quickly scrambled to pull his glove off.
The fire didn't burn him, but he still clutched his hand to his chest once the glove was on the ground. His heart was racing, especially as he stared at the now frozen glove on the ground.]
No.
[Kaeya couldn't help it. He immediately stood up and walked briskly towards the exit, not wanting at all to confront what he just realized about what had been going on.]
