The scale is so beautifully iridescent, like a fish scale but a thousand times larger and more beautiful. It's not completely smooth, but with a little bit of texture, and seems to glitter even in the dim light of the nearby lamps. With the size of it, he can only extrapolate to the size of the creature. Incredible. What does a world with dragons look like? How would a landscape change around them, how would people behave, what sort of infrastructure would exist to accommodate them if they interacted with humans? So many interesting possibilities to think about.

Erwin taps it gently with his fingertips, brings it closer to his face to see the details, holds it up to the light, just absolutely fascinated, before finally handing it back to Eren, smiling at the thought of them being large crows.
