Character Name: Maomao
Canon: The Apothecary Diaries (manga, specifcally Gangan)

About My Character: Maomao is a Cat that enjoys Doing Weird Experiments With Medicine and Poison; she was born and raised in the local red light district in Fictional China and was then kidnapped and had to work for one of the emperor's concubines as a poison tester. In Seasons, she's been collecting ingredients and growing plants in order to start her own collection to make things, which includes medicines, poisons, and various potions. And she also has a proper apothecary now!

CR I'm Looking For:

• Fellow potion makers! Maomao is very much a Weirdo amongst the community, but she has been taking potion making classes to see how it differs from crafting medicinal stuff, so if anybody wants to be like, Classmates or w/e feel free.
  
• A fucking "babysitter" for her awful tendencies to like, get distracted from tasks with her hobbies. This girl can and will eat poison, and even collect dangerous items if it means that she can utilize them in potion making. This generally won't happen during like Real Vital Important Moments but it'll happen during minor ones. (Disclaimer: this is not guaranteed.)
  
• Friends her age! Maomao is actually Really Bad At This because she's extremely stoic faced outside of her hobbies.
  
• Doctors! She doesn't work at the cleric but she does drop by often just to check in and maybe grab a few things here and there and I'd also like for her to exchange notes and info with other people.
  
• Red Light District Workers! Maomao may not look or act like it, but she was born and raised in the red light district and has worked there; she's also pretty knowledgeable in what sorts of "techniques" can be good in bed and has actually, in canon, taught classes about this. She is, however, a virgin in every regard and would prefer to do apothecary work instead of red light district work, though.
  
• Characters from "older" settings! Maomao herself is from what is basically ancient China, in particular, so I'd love for her to interact with those who are in a similar boat.

Plots I'm Looking For:

I'm actually pretty interested in having Maomao get hurt trying to save someone at some point! She's a normal girl, but she likes Getting Involved, especially when it comes to the lives of other people, so even if she isn't able to do much, I'd like for her to at least TRY. As for other things, she's not very open to talking about her family outside of her adoptive father, as she has a lot of Unfortunate Trauma regarding her real father, but that will come with spoiler territory. :)

Also, she's getting a Pokemon egg this month - specifically, it's going to hatch into a Croagunk that she will be naming after Croagunk. She's never taken care of one of these guys before, send help...... and yes, this guy will be her Babysitter of sorts, but look, one Poison Pokemon Ain't Enough.

Handwaving: Feel free to handwave coming into the apothecary and buying stuff! Let me know, however, if the character is buying anything that could be potentially dangerous - we don't need to thread it out, but Maomao IS keeping that information on file in case of emergency or if the customer pulls some shit because you don't do that to her lmao. Also if anybody ever wants to drop off items at the apothecary that they think might be useful for potions, feel free to let me know.
