Arrival

Part 1

You arrive in an unknown space, dressed in white clothes (player choice what kind of clothes, as long as they cover everything). Whatever was happening to you before no longer happens. It's like everything was put on a pause and you were transferred away from the situation without you realizing it happened.

The space that you find yourself in is one of these four options:

An empty landscape filled with snow and ice, almost like a blank canvas.
A field with cherry blossom trees and spring flowers.
A sunny beach near an ocean that seems never ending.
A quiet forest with falling autumn leaves.

All of the spaces seem to continue endlessly. No matter where or how far you walk it almost seems like you're not moving at all. There are no animals here - just those who happened to wake up there at the same time, in the same place. Everyone is wearing the same kind of plain, white clothes.

Despite the possible rollercoaster of emotions you might be feeling, the place somehow feels familiar. Like somehow you belong there.

And it looks like you're not alone.


Part 2

After half an hour has passed the surroundings change as everyone is teleported into a room with all the other new arrivals, no matter what space they woke up in. It's a large place with plenty of seats to sit in and beverages to enjoy. Medical attention is offered to those who need it and the doctors here are very prepared for any challenging situations.

Here, in this room, everyone gets an answer to where they are and why. A hologram of a man appears at the center of the room, waiting to be heard. He brings a message on behalf of the leaders of Ellipsa.

Hello, my name is Olwen. I'm one of the leaders of Ellipsa as it currently is. I'm also one of the four who summoned you here.

Our world is in trouble and we need your help. I apologize for tearing you away from your world and forcing you to come here but I hope you understand. The magic we used doesn't let us ask in advance, nor does it let us choose who we bring here.

This world is composed of four Seasonal Segments. All of them represent one of the seasons. They were the places we used to get our resources from, but now they're dangerous places no one should go into unless they have the power to fight back. All of them have their own sets of powerful monsters and natural catastrophes.

We used to have plenty of people here who could control the powers of the four Seasons. We called them Seasonal Power Holders. Unfortunately, due to a tragedy you can read about later, we lost almost all of them. Now only four of us remain and the world is in chaos. We have done our best to protect the world, but we need more power holders to do that.

That's where you come in.

All of you have been assigned to one of the seasons. Whatever space you were in just now is what season you represent. You will learn different skills based on the season and those skills are going to help you save this world.

These powers don't interfere with your own natural powers. They use a new energy that has formed inside of you. It's harmless to your health, but it's vital to your seasonal powers. Your own powers should still work, even if the dark energy outside the city might interfere with them.

Unfortunately bringing you here wasn't as simple as it sounds. We couldn't do anything about how to keep you anchored to this world other than making a simple spell that helps with it. That is, you need to touch someone else who is not from this world ideally at least once a day. It will help you stay in control of your powers and boost your magical energy. If you don't, the consequences aren't very good. But as long as you hold someone's hand or give someone a handshake, you should be fine.

That's all I have to say about the situation. The staff of the Research Center will give you more information about housing and other necessary things. I will, however, promise that you will be sent home once the situation becomes better. That's the least we can do.

The hologram can be viewed in private in a separate room later, should someone wish to look at it again. For now, the staff of the Research Center hands everyone their new smartphones with their small flower lucky charms (the flower is anything the player decides). They're also told that the building next door is where everyone can find a room assigned to them with some of their belongings there and possibly even any animal companions. Those concerned about their mount-sizes companions are welcomed to the stables downstairs to see if their friends are there. The mounts are allowed to stay there until you find a place more suitable for them.

In the Arrival's hall there are also several stands with information pamphlets.

First type of stand is for the local Guilds and about the benefits or joining one.

Second type of stands is for the Welcome Center that aim to show otherworlders what the world is like and help guide people in the beginning of the journey and helps in getting settled into the new world. They even have people to help if you're unfamiliar with the new phones.

Once you get your smartphone and necessary information, you're urged to go out and find your apartment. After that whatever you want to do is up to you.

Part 3

The building next door is where everyone can find their new apartments. As you enter, you're told by a friendly native that for the first two months you can live anywhere rent-free and five meals a day are paid for you. After that they get a monthly payment that helps with some of their living expenses, but otherwise they have to have a job to support themselves.

All of the apartments are comfortable, two bedroom apartments with all necessary utilities. They are also completely soundproof. Sometimes the magic system, however, does glitch and you might find yourself rooming with a stranger. This is not the intention and the staff will immediately prepare you your own room if you ask them. But maybe having a roommate isn't all that bad?

Flowers of Luck

Part 1

Guild Leaders announce the next big mission, "Mission Frozen Falls", will happen in July. The final preparations are being done in the guilds and in the Research Center: rest of the winter equipment, safe methods for quick escape, food, drinks. Anyone is welcome to join the effort to finish these preparations. There are also special training arenas for how to handle sudden snowstorms or learning how to build a shelter from snow and ice for those who want to take extra precautions.

The fairies are also helping with mission preparations. They have set up a ritual that will boost good luck. This is a tradition in the fairy kingdom, always held when something important was about to happen. There's an area for the ritual setup in all of the districts and it doesn't matter which one you happen to do it in.

First phase is a very simple dance with a partner. In the dance, the pair move around a fairy circle, reaching towards one another. After doing this for a while, the circle starts glowing. The more familiar the pair is with another the faster this progress happens, but it will happen within a frame of ten minutes.

Two vases and different materials will then appear inside the circles. Everyone is then encouraged to decorate their vase with the materials given. Once the vases are done, they're exchanged between the pair, which fills them with magical water and multiple, colorful lily of the valley. They shine in the light almost as if they're made of glass, but they're real flowers.

Not long after the flowers have appeared, several small motess of lights with wings appear, dropping from the flowers. These are newborn fairies, who have no actual form yet. These vases, with their newborn fairies, are then either put into a specified building near the ritual place -- or taken home.

Part 2
The newborn fairies are called Sugar Plum Fairies. Long time ago they went almost extinct thanks to monsters hunting them down. They smell very sweet and floral, even in their mote form, and taste very good. They even give someone a power boost, which is why monsters are so keen on eating them. The fairies managed to finally find the old ritual from the underground library, so now they can fully utilize it and bring these luck bearing fairies back.

To help the mote-sized fairies grow into their full size (around the size of a Common Blackbird), anyone can help them build flower crowns. It doesn't matter what flowers you use, as long as the mote is given a chance to dance around the flowers before they're added into the crown. Every finished crown helps one fairy grow. Every fairy needs three flower crowns to grow into proper fairy size.

Once the Sugar Plum Fairy grows up, they use the magic of the lily of the valleys to gain a beautiful dress made of flower petals. Then it will thank their helper(s) by circling around them and dropping fairy dust on them. This dust is the sign of luck, and the people blessed will be luckier than usual for the next three months to come. This only works one time, however, and no extra luck can be taken - but there are plenty of fairies to help just because someone wants to.

Eating one of the mote-sized fairies will cause someone to speak as if they've inhaled a lot of helium. The only way to make it stop is to sing, which will let the mote escape. Anytime this happens, the full-grown fairies will giggle nearby. The mote-sized fairy will likely avoid whoever ate it from then on. However, if someone happens to eat a fairy that's in the middle of growing, they will get a power boost for one of their seasonal skills (at random). The fairy eaten will return to the small mote it started off as and be very, very angry and give the person a fairy curse (which is something from a scale of 'speak in riddles for the next 24 hours" to "grow a pig snout and tail").

The vase full of of lily of the valley received at the beginning can be kept as a memory of the ritual. Doing so will also invite the Sugar Plum Fairies to visit the house the lilies are in to perform some simple maintenance like cleaning corners hard to get to or cleansing bad magical energies.

A Splashing Good Time!

Part 1

Deep in the district of Solarpeak, a new place has been opened: Mega Waterland, a place for everyone to have fun and relax. Concealment magic was used to keep the place a secret until the opening day and now they're offering a free entrance to everyone. After that it's a very cheap (10 Moon Coins) ticket to get back in!

There are a lot of different slides with various speeds and other water related attractions. Test your swimming power in the wild river or relax in the peaceful lagoon. One of the bigger pools has a changing obstacle race! There are also multiple different swimming equipment that can be rented from the clerks to make swimming more fun. Everyone is encouraged to be creative and let themselves have all the fun.

Regular events are going on in the vicinity of the central event square. Twice a day one of the pools has mega wave surfing. Three times a day the event square in the center provides everyone different equipment for an all out water war. At the end of each day, beautiful multi-colored fountain shows close the water park for the day.

Of course, food, drinks and snacks are also available throughout the day.

Part 2

Those not particular interested in water park activities will be able to find something different from the park. One of the buildings is named 'Mega Mega Karting Race'. Inside there's a variety of different vehicles (with different, silly designs, in all shapes and sizes) and a group of child-sized Frog and Toad people. They can't really talk, but a useful computer tells anyone visiting the place that this is a piece of racing paradise.

The frogs and toads are always ready to participate in the race and will use the computer to set something up. The characters can also pick and choose out of different kinds of courses: all of them happening in the skies of Nightwake. Once a vehicle has been chosen (some of the vehicles are even two-seaters, but there's only one steering wheel...), the computer makes the roads used to race and then it's time to go!

Rules are simple: be the first one to return to the starter building. You can fall of the course three times, but after that it's game over. Wait, fall off? That's right! The roads have no fences. But it's alright, anyone who falls will be saved by magical clouds and brought back to the spot the fell from. On the fourth fall, however, the participant enter the spectator mode, watching the rest of the race from on top of the cloud.

The frog and toad people can also use a variety of special abilities to try and interfere with others' driving. The Rain Frog, for example, can squeak so loud it will cause someone to spin if hit by the shockwave. Others use more magical methods, such as conjuring bananas or ice.

{ this isn't actually the first time it's happened, but hopefully it will be the last time when wriothesley wakes up on the wrong side of the bed in another place. at least this time he's familiar with the technology, familiar with the set up of the welcome centre to actually not look confused about where he is. }

Looks like no matter how much time has passed they never seem to update this thing { he cants his head towards the message from olwen } How long has it even been?

{ with the urgency in fontaine having died down and things going back to normal ('normal') back home, a moment like this was almost like a real vacation after so much clean up. while he may not be artistic enough to really do a flower crown justice, he's at least willing to try and put something together.

it's as his attention drifts to wonder if sigewinne and her friends would like an activity like that that, the poor sugar plum fairy has danced around the same flower over and over that he hears a huff of impatience. instead of looking at the fairy, his eyes dip to behind himself out of instinct, relieved when there's no sticker slapped onto his clothes here. }

I'm working on it, it isn't as though this comes with instructions.

[It's pretty obvious Kaeya was trying to hide a laugh with the way his voice wavered, but he couldn't quite help it. He didn't really expect someone like Wriothesley to be sitting around making flower crowns, although he wasn't too surprised either given this place had a penchant for getting people do stuff they may not want or care to do.

Also, the words spoken just amused him. Kaeya already had a finished flower crown in his lap, with a second nearly complete.]

Even so, he'll extend his arm to anyone he gets along well with at one of the fairy circles!]

[After recently surviving her first true-and-honest battle in titan form (and still not having been met with horror and rejection over it from even a single person!), Frieda is quite grateful for the peaceful task at hand. After finding a partner to dance and exchange vases with, and then witnessing the miraculous appearance of the beautiful flowers, she can later be found making garlands for the tiny glowing mote orbiting her. Since she finished the first one already, the sugar plum fairy went from the size of a bumblebee to that of a wren!]

Are you sure you want to grow up this fast, little one? But if people are so eager to eat you, I guess I understand!

[The fairy does smell delicious - not that that'd tempt her! If she notices anyone struggling with their garland, she's ready to offer help:]

2) A Splashing Good Time!

[The new Mega Waterland has Frieda in her element! She's come to love swimming and diving so much, and it being in Solarpeak, where she already spends much of her free time as it is, makes it perfect. When it's time for Mega Wave Surfing, she can be seen in mermaid form (thanks to her Mermaid Necklace), jumping through the waves rather than riding on top. She's testing her endurance! Afterwards, as the waves die down, she lets herself wash up to the entrance of the pool, exhausted.]

I still have a way to go, hm...

[In the evening, she'll watch the fountain show, rehydrating herself with a slushie (another remarkable invention her world has yet to come up with!) - it's a good time to approach her in case anybody would like to catch up! Having had so much fun all day, she hasn't been dwelling on her various worries at all.]

[Nia is hardly a new arrival, having been here for over a year now. However, rather than taking part in any of the recent festivities, she's taken to hanging around the room the new arrivals go to in her off time. She's in her full royal regalia, and her posture is better than most who know her would come to expect. She hardly speaks to most of the people that exit unless spoken to first, but her eyes scan each one.]

Arrival Part 3

Appearing on a sunny beach was not what she expected. Nor did she expect to be freed from that curse when she appeared there. Agatha walked along the shore for a time and listened to the waves. This wasn't part of what Wanda had done. She had her magic, she was herself, but she had no explanation for why. That was until she arrived in the Welcome Center.

She listened carefully to Olwen's message. This world had seen some tough times. New magical abilities. A world of new curiosities. As far as surprises went, that was a big one. She wasn't sure how to feel about being pulled into a new world without being asked but it was neither here nor there. It was definitely a step up from Westview. Once done there, she made her way to the beginner apartments. Curious as to who her roommate would be, if she even had one. She walked to the door and with a flick of her fingers, it swung open for her.

She walked in and gasped.

"Senior Scratchy! Oh you're here too. I was so afraid you were left behind with Ralph. My lovely familiar," she walked over to the cage and opened it. She pulled the rabbit out and started to pet it.

"At least I'm not here all alone. Things could be worse. Now. Let's see if we can't make this place a little more...comfortable. See if our roomie is here too." She looked around the apartment.

Flowers of Luck Part 1

A ritual to increase luck? That wasn't anything too difficult for her back home. Yet this ritual seemed to have another purpose. Only one way to find out. Agatha smiled as she approached one of the others not yet dancing.

"Well hello there. I'm looking for a dance partner. Care to join me?" She smiled sweetly.

Flowers of Luck Part 2

Flower crowns. She was holding out flowers for the newborn fairies to dance around. Then she started to join it to her growing flower crown. The little things were growing slightly with each new flower added. How interesting. She could feel power from these little darlings. She was going to take some of them back to the apartment with her. The flowers in the vase were still fresh and the little Sugar Plum Fairies seemed determined to stay with it. As if she was going to just leave them somewhere.

"Never thought this would be something I'd do. Making flower crowns for some newborn fairies," she said aloud while she held out another flower. The baby fairies danced around it.

"How about you?"

[Of course Rinku shows up. When it comes to the dance, if you're looking for a partner, she'll immediately show up and grab your hand.]

[Rinku's still not doing so well with flower crown weaving, but at least she's improved from last year and isn't breaking too many stems. Although the flower selection is a little eclectic, since she's just picking whatever she sees first without regard to whether the flowers look nice together or have a particular meaning.]

Huh... Last summer solstice, we made flower crowns for each other, but this time it's for the fairies. I wonder if they'll like them?

[3) A Splashing Good Time! 1]

[Rinku shows up with a hum, and she'll be buzzing around the whole place keeping note of everything! You can find her at the waterslides, trying each one and eagerly coming back for the next one.]

Whoaaa! I know Solarpeak's got a bunch of really good water parks, but I gotta pick this one for my party! --Oh, did I invite you to my party yet? You gotta come! It's at the end of the month!

[Yes, she will invite you even if you have barely spoken to her before this day.]

4) A Splashing Good Time! 1... again]

[Another part of Rinku's location scouting at Mega Waterland is the event square. She'll pick up a water gun and start shooting, dodging around pillars and trees! Though she does stop to ponder...]

A Splashing Good Time! Part 1
Is that a cat floating around in one of the peaceful lagoons? Sure is! He seems pretty comfortable in the water, although the ear nearest you starts twitching.

[Closer to late afternoon and after all the earlier excitement, Dan Heng can be found relaxing in the peaceful lagoon. It's not often he gets the opportunity to relax in the water like this, and with most people still gravitating towards the more active attractions, he's free to enjoy himself here.

It's not quite as deep as would be ideal, but it's still deep enough he can dive beneath the water, swimming laps.

1. Fairy Dance

[Freminet just got here and he has no idea what was going on. There was so much information he had to keep up with and there was nobody whom he knew here. Imagine his surprise that one of the first things he has to do is dance with a stranger in order boost good luck. Now Freminet was never one to deny people of that, not when he was used to dealing with missions himself.

As he stood there at the edge of the fairy circle, he has no idea what to do. For now, he'll just stand there. Looking awkward and not being too sure what to do.]

2. Mega Mega Karting Race

[Well, this was certainly something he was familiar with. In Fontaine, he was used to seeing a bunch of water everywhere. He knew what it was like to play with the water and he knew what to expect. However, that wasn't what interested him. He was much more interested in the strange vehicle before him. Granted, even when there was a mysterious looking creature telling him everything, he wasn't sure if he made the right choice.

That said, as he went on the track, he found himself conjuring a few ice shards here and there.]

[Was it odd that he found the idea of making crowns relaxing? He sure did as this wasn't something he was used to. It stopped their little feet on his shoulder and Boothill rolled his eyes, the crosshairs always looking like they were targeting someone and right now, they were looking right at the plum fairy.]

This ain't as fudgin' easy as yer makin' out to be, kiddo, okay? Didn't exactly grow up doin' arts and crafts and stuff.

[And the flowers were so gosh darned delicate! Boothill let out a mechanical growl as another stem broke and he tossed it aside with a loud sigh.]

[ Luck. Arlecchino doesn't think it's prudent for there to be so much importance placed upon something so intangible, but like everything, traditions have their place. And as far as this one goes, it's largely harmless. So long as they aren't relying solely on this "luck," then why not let the younger people present enjoy themselves?

Not that her thoughts on the matter are all that clear. She's standing a short distance from one of the circles, expression neutral as she inspects the ritual, one arm across her chest while the other rests atop it as she taps her chin thoughtfully.

If someone is lacking a partner and they're young (or on the younger side), she'll approach them with unhurried steps and extend a hand. ]

While it is foolish to place your faith in something as unreliable as "luck," one should take advantage of their every opportunity. Come, let us take what our hosts have so graciously offered to us.

[ Arlecchino has no interest in making flower crowns herself, but like with the fairy circles, she watches the proceedings from a short distance. When one of the fairies gets too close, she nudges it away with one of her fingers. ]

Get too close and you may meet the same fate as your predecessors.

A Splashing Good Time - Part 1

[ This is the fourth time she's found herself gaining a new power. Arlecchino can acknowledge there's something amusing in knowing this power is so very different from the fires coursing through her blood and the pyro vision she wields. Not that that makes it any less useful. If anything, being able to control hydro gives her more tools to work with in a fight and rounds out her abilities quite nicely.

A water park seems as good a place as any to give some of her new abilities a try. She's not unaware of the water fights happening around her, she's simply unconcerned by their proximity.

She easily avoids a few water balloons and jets of water, though while she's focused on trying to manipulate the water at her feet, one balloon gets through her defenses, drenching her coat.

[This is the second time that she's found herself playing a role unexpectedly and with little to no direction given. Really, she's getting to be a bit of an old hat at this. Hopefully this time it doesn't involve centuries worth of lonely isolation.

But whether voluntary, enforced, or even just temporary, Furina doesn't want to THINK about it yet. So when she'd been "invited" (read as: dragged by one hand on each side) by some children to play in their "water war" she found herself reluctantly opening up to the idea. Yes, you know what? This might be the perfect way to release some pent up frustration! Besides, someone had to show these children how it should be done.

None of this is addressing the fact that she secretly reveled in the delight they demonstrated at the sight of her friends, particularly Superintendant adding a bubble spray to the mix. With what some (Paimon) might very well find to be a surprising amount of patience, Furina had indulged them and answered their many questions. Only once she began to run into areas beyond her current level of expertise did she redirect their attention to the supplies provided by the park. Then it was their turn to show HER how things worked.

Now thoroughly drenched, Furina is fully immersed in their battle! This is war!]

[Yogi may or may have gotten a little too excited at gacha and has a variety of 2-3 stars meals on his table. It's definitely more than he had planned on eating, but just rolling gacha was sort of addicting? Especially after the first 4-star! ... which ended up being the only 4-star he got.]

So what am I going to do now? This is definitely too much food for just one person...

Ah! Do you want some food? I ended up pulling the gacha way too many times and ended up with a lot! Please help me out? I promise I'm not a shady person! The staff here can attest that they're exactly like they were when I got them.

but the device itself is interesting enough to her as well. the hologram is hardly like what they have in sumeru, and while the akasha could share knowledge across all its users, it never gave an appearance to the messages people would receive. }

{ while nahida may be smaller than most of the people that have signed up for this event, there's a certain joy to what dancing can bring. nilou was a great example of how it uplifted the spirits of those around her, and the god of flowers in the past had certainly possessed a creativity that was unparalleled with her dancing. }

They fit right in like they've lived here their entire life, choosing to go with the flow instead of worrying how they got here or how to leave. Where Rave is from, things like dancing and music are banned unless it's to a country's anthem. But Rave loves music more than life itself-- hence the name "Rave". So this ritual that starts with dancing? It's easy for them to fall right in beat.]

[Without asking, they take the arm of the nearest person with a wide grin and starts to tug them into a dance. Not one with any particular rhythm, but it's definitely energetic.]

[They hold their crown out to them, to show that they... didn't get rid of the thorns before weaving them into crowns. Thus, their hand was covered in bloody little thorn scrapes.]

[A hand tattooed with a sunflower on the palm is held out before you, the man asking for a dance having a gentle smile on his face. The sunflower tattoo's stem winds around his wrist and continues up his arm where it disappeared underneath the rolled up sleeves of his shirt, but there's a hint of another sunflower at the elbows.

He has green eyes and pitch black hair, a few earrings in his ears, and there may be just a hint of fangs but you're not sure if that's what you see.]

May I have this dance? It's been a long time since I've danced in a fairy circle.

[Although, he was unfamiliar with this particular ritual. It was certainly nothing taught to him during his learning years as both a cat and a witch. But perhaps the McCalmonts were simply unaware? This was a new world, though, so it could just something unique to this place. There was definitely a lot to learn and he was ready to learn!]

[While this was probably his first fairy crown to be made, it was clear Matthias wasn't exactly doing poorly. But there was a subtle glow in the tattoos on his hands, which kept the stems from breaking or tearing as he weaved and threaded them through. Was it cheating? Maybe but his little sugar plum fairy didn't seem to mind as it watched with rapt attention.

He smiled as he finished up the crown, handing it to the little fairy.]

Hurricane Harbor

[Usually, cats and water didn't mix. But Matthias was no ordinary cat. He hadn't been for decades. Using his human form meant going into the water just wasn't as unpleasant as it could be, although he had always been a bit of a strange one in that he never disliked the water to begin with. Still, he opted to keep clear of the more exciting activities and decided to simply lounge in an inner tube and float along the peaceful lagoon. There was a drink in the cup holder, too.

How convenient!

He felt the water jostle nearby, although not enough to knock him or his drink over, and he tilted his head in that direction to tilt his sunglasses down his nose to gaze at the person with an eyebrow raised.]

Restless, my friend? Could always get one of these lovely drinks! It even comes with an umbrella.

Anything to get the job done, right? After all, if the stones had given him something that could help him here, he'd be using it, too. ]
