"I won't disappear if I can help it." He wishes he could fully promise it, but he can't. He can't promise that he won't get sent off to another world entirely or shoved back home. He doesn't really know how this all works. But right now he's not making the choice to leave.

"I'm sorry. It kind of sucks that we can't change home." That's true enough. He remembers going home briefly, he remembered nothing about this place while he was there. Then he got back here. It was so odd. "What happens here, stays here." He reaches up both hands, pressing them into either of Eren's cheeks with a little grin.

"So be selfish for a little bit longer, okay? I consider myself lucky that you are."

It's nice. It's new. It's different. It's so much less lonely now than he used to be as a child. He's spoiled by all people he likes and cares for. It's exciting to him.
