Arrival

Part 1

You arrive in an unknown space, dressed in white clothes (player choice what kind of clothes, as long as they cover everything). Whatever was happening to you before no longer happens. It's like everything was put on a pause and you were transferred away from the situation without you realizing it happened.

The space that you find yourself in is one of these four options:

An empty landscape filled with snow and ice, almost like a blank canvas.
A field with cherry blossom trees and spring flowers.
A sunny beach near an ocean that seems never ending.
A quiet forest with falling autumn leaves.

All of the spaces seem to continue endlessly. No matter where or how far you walk it almost seems like you're not moving at all. There are no animals here - just those who happened to wake up there at the same time, in the same place. Everyone is wearing the same kind of plain, white clothes.

Despite the possible rollercoaster of emotions you might be feeling, the place somehow feels familiar. Like somehow you belong there.

And it looks like you're not alone.

Wandering around during December and January may also end in stepping on a fairy circle, which will then transport the person straight to Fairy Kingdom, skipping the orientation in the Research Center... [Skip to straight to Fairy Yule to You prompts.]


Part 2

After half an hour has passed the surroundings change as everyone is teleported into a room with all the other new arrivals, no matter what space they woke up in. It's a large place with plenty of seats to sit in and beverages to enjoy. Medical attention is offered to those who need it and the doctors here are very prepared for any challenging situations.

Here, in this room, everyone gets an answer to where they are and why. A hologram of a man appears at the center of the room, waiting to be heard. He brings a message on behalf of the leaders of Ellipsa. The staff nearby tells them that the message has finally been properly updated from the original one that can still be found from the records. After December 2025, there was also a new addition at the end of the hologram.

Hello, my name is Olwen. I'm one of the leaders of Ellipsa as it currently is. I'm also one of the four who summoned you here.

Our world is in trouble and we need your help. I apologize for tearing you away from your world and forcing you to come here but I hope you understand. The magic we used doesn't let us ask in advance, nor does it let us choose who we bring here. We wouldn't have resorted to it if we weren't desperate. Our world has lost the majority of power holders who kept the balance in our world and dealt with the dangers of the Segments. Just having one power holder for each Season isn't enough. That's why we have summoned you to become the new Seasonal Power Holders.

This world is composed of four Seasonal Segments. All of them represent one of the seasons: Winter, Spring, Summer and Autumn. They were the places we used to get our resources from, but now they're dangerous places no one should go into unless they have the power to fight back. All of them have their own sets of powerful monsters and natural catastrophes. We have recently managed to regain some footing in the segments and made them safer, but there is still a lot of work to be done. The Darkness still plagues our world, but we are constantly finding ways to fight back.

Otherworlders like you have already made great differences to the world. They have managed to find and free the dragons who in turn helped us expand the area we live in. They also managed to find the Fairy Queen and even the Mermaids and Sirens of the Great Ocean Lake are at peace due to the efforts of a few otherworlders. All of these things we couldn't have accomplished with just four power holders.

My sincere wish is that you would join us in working towards saving this world. We promise to send you home afterwards, or enable a way to travel to your world and back, as a compensation for your efforts here. You're even free to stay here, if that suits you better. This world can also be yours.

I know we're asking you a lot and that it might be hard to trust someone who just talks as a hologram, but you are always free to approach us at our guilds to talk in person.

Also, as an important note that I have neglected to add to the speech previously, but is possibly the most important information for you. To keep yourself anchored to this world you have to generate touch energy. If you don't touch another otherworlder regularly, you will start feeling sick and eventually turn into a stone statue, in a week or so. This, however, isn't the end - you can be saved even from that. However, we highly recommend shaking someone's hand at least once a day to keep your touch energy at a good level.

My sincerest apologies for neglecting to add this here before, despite mentioning it on the old hologram.

The hologram can be viewed in private in a separate room later, should someone wish to look at it again. For now, the staff of the Research Center hands everyone their new smartphones with their small flower lucky charms (the flower is anything the player decides). They're also told that the building next door is where everyone can find a room assigned to them with some of their belongings there and possibly even any animal companions. Those concerned about their mount-sized companions are welcomed to the stables downstairs to see if their friends are there. The mounts are allowed to stay there until you find a place more suitable for them.

In the arrival's hall there are also several stands with information pamphlets.

First type of stand is for the local Guilds and about the benefits of joining one.

Second type of stand is for the Welcome Center that aim to show otherworlders what the world is like and help guide people in the beginning of the journey and helps in getting settled into the new world. They even have people to help if you're unfamiliar with the new phones.

Third type of a stand has various pamphlets about businesses opened by otherworlders.

Once you get your smartphone and necessary information, you're urged to go out and find your apartment. After that whatever you want to do is up to you.

The building next door is where everyone can find their new apartments. As you enter, you're told by a friendly native that for the first two months you can live anywhere rent-free and five meals a day are paid for you. After that they get a monthly payment that helps with some of their living expenses, but otherwise they have to have a job to support themselves.

All of the apartments are comfortable, two bedroom apartments with all necessary utilities. They are also completely soundproof. Sometimes the magic system, however, does glitch and you might find yourself rooming with a stranger. This is not the intention and the staff will immediately prepare you a room of your own. But maybe having a roommate isn't all that bad?

Part 3

The locals have taken upon themselves to advertise the Welcome Center that is run mostly by otherworlders. Newcomers are encouraged to visit it, but sometimes the people might think someone who has been a while is new.

Inside one finds a modern Japanese style lobby with plenty of sofas, soft seats and cushions to sit on. Anyone is welcome to just sit around and eat some home-made snacks. There are also computers for searching information and practicing technology skills. There's usually someone behind the front desk, but if no one seems to be there they might be in the kitchen behind the front desk area.

Upstairs there are many rooms that can be into familiar places for characters (not exactly the same, but similar) with futuristic technology. It's set up to help fight any homesickness and provide a quiet place to relax.

One bonus the Welcome Center provides is a gift basket with some treats, basic ingredients for making meals and some gift cards for the Underground Mall, to possibly shop for new clothes or other necessary items. All of these have been donated by volunteers to help newcomers settle in.

Of course the people working here are always looking for new volunteers to help around! There are plenty of things to do, all in the name of making otherworlders' arrival to a new world more comfortable.

Fairy Yule to You

Part 1

All over Nightwake (and parts of the segments) there are fairy circles leading straight into the newly opened Fairy Kingdom. The colors there are vibrant and the atmosphere is full of joy and excitement. Various signs hover in the air, telling where anything here is, but the biggest sign is pointing towards the central plaza.

There one may encounter people who have just arrived to Ellipsa dressed in their white clothes. Any fairies around will giggle and tell them it was a prank and it was such a success - but also suggest helping them understand what is going on.

Those who are new will find that their new smartphones will teleport from out of nowhere, including the flower charm on the phone. Even their regular clothes or some of the items they might be needing at the moment just appear around them. Of course there's a high chance of the wrong item arriving. Even those who have been here for years may find their items mixed in with the new arrivals' items.

Aside from item chaos, the great fountain in the middle of the plaza has a floating parchment nearby it. It says "those who throw in a fairy coin will receive a permanent magical energy upgrade". These fairy coins are being handed out by fairies near the fountains. Tossing more than one, or anything other than a fairy coin, will not increase the effect or do anything additional.

Some of the fairies will also remind everyone of the two simple rules: don't eat food made for the fairies, never reveal your True Name.

Part 2
After everyone is encouraged to visit the fountain, the Fairy Kingdom is open for exploration. The fairies even say that anyone here can now use simple fairy magic, as long as they remain positive. Most of the spells are simple parlor tricks, but there are some very more powerful ones, such as being able to phase through walls, changing their size at will or conjuring flowers. These spells only work within the Fairy Kingdom or places associated with it.

Those who insist on being negative or very rude become targets for more mischievous fairies, who will attempt to turn people partly into animals (usually pigs, as they think it’s an insult). The only way to undo their spell is to get 10 kisses from 10 different people (cheek and hand kisses count) or waiting for 24 hours.

One of the more noticeable things is the different colorful wells around the kingdom. Those who are always honest with their feelings will find the wells vibrantly colored and bubbly, while those who constantly lie about them will turn the wells grayscale and dry. Should two different kind of emotions clash, the well is split half in between.

The fairies will insist that the wells need to be colorful for the kingdom to feel well and try to encourage those with dishonest feelings to open up. Doing so near a well will feel great, but might also lead to uncontrollable tears.

Habitats and notable locations

Habitats

Petal Court Gardens

Home of the Fairy Queen’s court. Pristine lawns, endless blossoms, drifting petals that respond to a person's nature or mood. (You might get ominous aura petals around someone threatening or sweet heart petals around someone thinking amorous thoughts). Courtly fae glide around as motes or orbs with wings, watching newcomers with amusement and might encourage visitors to break into song while looking into a reflective pool... with lyrics that may reveal their true feelings.

Glowshimmer Groves

A forest where bioluminescent plants and tiny floating lights hum in response to touch or sound. These groves are especially soothing but be careful not to get too lost in here- they can have humans end up lost in memories, and pull someone in with them to witness them.

Mushroom Village Outpost

A surface-level cluster of giant mushrooms connected to the deeper Mushroom Sanctuary (through fairy portals). Tiny doorways, fae pranksters, soft glowing spores, and lots of smug mushroom people.

Skybud Terraces

Floating platforms and petal bridges that rise and fall depending on emotional resonance. Characters with strong emotions may unintentionally launch themselves into the air! But there's much to enjoy here, including making cloud rainbow sweets- the terraces are home to some excellent cuisine! No special effects. For now, because they're behaving.

Dewsong Pools

A serene water-garden inhabited by water fairies who sing to ripple the surface. The pools grant temporary reflection-based magic (clairvoyance, emotional clarity, enhanced sensory perception... and perhaps raised desire for just about anything). Yes, you could end up hyperfocusing or hyperfeeling if you indulge too long.

Colorforge Hollow

A cavern where emotions harden into colored crystals. Fairies use these to craft wands, jewelry, or spells. Visitors may find their own emotions crystallizing into keepsakes, but don't worry, none of them will be stolen- unless someone takes them. So hold onto your memories, and if you want to remember them, be sure to gift the treasures first!


Other Notable Areas

These are landmarks that characters may use as hubs, trouble spots, or scenic backdrops:

Rainbow Canopy Trail

A walkway beneath towering flowers whose petals act as stained glass, casting rainbow light on everything below. Stepping on certain colors activates small spells.

The Colorless Ruins (Sealed)

Remnants of the Darkness-corrupted era. Pale, muted remnants where fae lost their hues. Now safe but eerily quiet. A popular location for letting out those brooding thoughts, but brood too long and you might turn to stone and need to be kissed back to life.

The Court Amphitheater

Where fairy music, emotional resonance performances, and magical displays are held. The acoustics amplify feelings as much as sound and can make for a magical environment! Concerts are especially wonderful.

Whimsy Market

A chaotic bazaar full of impossible goods: bottled laughter, petal perfume, illusion candy, tiny familiars, mood-changing sparklers, sentient scarves and more. Prices are emotional energy.

Heartpath Labyrinth

A shifting, low-danger maze made of hedges and illusions. Gets easier the more honest a character is with their emotions. Fairies use it to teach newcomers how to feel properly.

Part 3

The Fairy Queen resides inside the castle, on the Throne of Bloom. She will gladly meet with otherworlders and chat with them about her kingdom and tell stories about the different areas to explore.

She is also the one to visit if someone broke one of the two important fairy rules: don't give your true name and don't eat fairy food. Only she can release a person who has broken the rules and even then she will require a fee. This can be anything from fresh tears of love to beautiful exotic flower.

To get back to Nightwake, there are two options. One is to take the teleport crystal just outside the Fairy Kingdom entrance: it will lead to one of the four guilds. Another is to find a fairy circle that will lead to a random place in Nightwake.

Meet Me Under the Missile-Toad

Part 1

As the holiday season comes, Yuletide decorations start to be put up throughout Nightwake. Yuletide celebrates togetherness, love, and lights. No matter where anyone looks - they will see seasonal decor featuring lots of color and especially lights. Everyone seems to be getting into the spirit of the season and otherworlders are encouraged to decorate their houses and businesses as well - especially if it captures traditions from their homes. Ellipsans are always excited to see how it is that everyone celebrates this time of year!

Every district will also have a pop-up ice skating rink that will appear. These are a special feature of Yuletide, as they will never melt, no matter the climate. Near the rinks there will be a few stalls that will feature seasonal favorites - including things like drinks (both hot and cold varieties), sweet treats, and savory snacks. There will also be a booth where anyone can rent or buy ice skates to use on the rink!

In Frostreign, there's a bit more. In addition to the skating rink and food stalls, there's an entire Winter Market. This market features items from a wide variety of vendors. Items featured will definitely vary and can include things like seasonal decor and items that will make perfect gifts this season!


Part 2
Mistletoe is a common decoration that is set up this time of year. And with it comes mistletoe's biggest fan - the small fairy bunnies (bunnies with fairy wings and cute ribbons). The fairy bunnies love that mistletoe brings people together and that's what their goal is with it. These bunnies will fly around with mistletoe and hover near couples (or just two people walking on the street together) and won't leave until they kiss.

Some bunnies will float around a single person who looks like they need a little joy to try and get them a kiss. They are persistent, too. If they can't find anyone nearby, they will teleport them to another person with a bunny to set them up with a kiss.

Some other bunnies - who are new to the job - are a little confused about the assignment. Instead of mistletoe - they are carrying around missile toads. These toads have a tiny toy missiles strapped to their back. With these, set the toads free and the fairy bunnies will understand and do the job right next time!

All bunnies can be bribed with a treat (dandelions are their favorite) - and they do eventually get tired. They love to rest on people's shoulders.


Part 3
The legend of Yule Cat is a popular story being told. The story says that Yule Cat is a fluffy, large, black cat that comes down from the snowy mountains. This cat has a keen fashion sense and is inclined towards judgment. While no one has spotted the cat, everyone seems to be dressed in their best!

But Yule Cat is a harsh judge! If he doesn't like someone's look, a random gift will show up on their doorstep at one point through the holiday season. For otherworlders - this means that they will regain one non-magical item from home, whether it was something they would ask for or not. If he likes someone's look - nothing happens, but this has never happened before as Yule Cat, bafflingly, doesn't like anyone's look.

Can people potentially take mushroom/plant/water samples from the fairy kingdom back to Ellipsa? And if so, will they still retain their magical properties once outside of the kingdom?

Viktor would be very interested in testing them in various ways, so I figured I'd ask!

Fairy Yule to You

Squall is one of the unlucky ones to step on a fairy circle. Now he was tossed from a random beach he had no recollection of to a really bright and colorful place. He was even wearing clothes that definitely weren't his. Not that he minded, at least he had clothes. it could be worse.

Somehow, he had a feeling this wasn't quite something happening back home, even if crazy stuff had happened there, too. It felt more foreign than anything. Of course he couldn't be sure.

Suddenly! A device appeared in front of him and he catches it.

"...?"

The note on it does say his name, at least. This was for him? He doesn't really get a chance to examine the device more than that before his freaking gunblade just drops out of the sky and he has to dodge.

"Wha-?"

And then his clothes drop on his head, making him unable to see anything for a while.

"Really?" he asks with a sigh.

What a welcome.

Meet Me Under the Missile-Toad

Back in Nightwake, Squall has been trying to figure out more about this world. He even went back to watch the hologram, since he missed it. Looks like he was stuck here for a while, then. Fine. It's not like he just managed to solve problems back home and would have liked some rest with people he cares about ( :| ).

At least he was now in his regular outfit and not the weird white one.

On top of everything else now there was even a small bunny with wings and a plant following him around. Not the strangest thing he's seen today, but definitely most persistent.

"What do I need to do to get you to leave me alone?" he asks the critter, finally.

The bunny points towards a couple kissing nearby.

"... no."

That wasn't the answer the bunny appreciated, so time to teleport him to someone! Hello, would you like to kiss this guy?

"Sorry, I have no idea why this guy is so persistent. I don't need a kiss."

Not with them anyway. He already had someone.

Fairy Yule to You

K-11 is having so much fun in this strange place. The glowing flowers, the bubbling colored water, and the fun little fairy people. They are nothing like the fairies Miss Wynn or her highness told him about. He spots someone else who doesn't look like a fairy just as they dodge a falling blade! Then he does get hit with a cool looking jacket and some pants. K-11 looks up in time to see something else falling.

He runs over quickly and tries to pull Squall out of the way of his falling shoes!

"Look out! The sky is throwing stuff at you still!"

Arrival Part 1 + 1.5

K-11 feels cold. He's used to feeling cold, honestly. It happens eventually. Over and over again. Usually he can wrap himself in his blanket and try to get warm but he has no blanket now. He sits up and now he's wet? He is covered in white cold and wet dust? Everything is white here and it goes on forever? He scoops up the strange dust and turns it over in his hands. He sniffs it then proceeds to lick it. Oh! It feels funny on the tongue.

He takes a careful bite. It melts in his mouth into water! Excitedly he starts to shovel it into his mouth and eats and drinks it down. That is until a sharp pain spikes through his head and he has to clutch the sides of his head.

"Ow! It's biting back! I'm sorry!" He stands up and runs through the fluffy dust. He didn't mean to make it angry! He keeps running until suddenly his foot touches down and it feels like he's falling. The ground gives way and he spins in the air for a moment, his steely blue eyes wide.

"AAAAAAAH!"

Fairy Yule to You Parts 2 + 3

Suddenly the ground rushes up to meet K-11's butt. He bounces with a very loud oof! and has blink. Everything is different suddenly and he hears laughter around him. As he looks around, something falls into his lap. He blinks as he looks down at the slim black rectangle of glass and plastic? It has a little charm attached to it of a small purple flower. For those knowledgeable in such things will be able to identify it as a belladonna flower. He looks it over and stands finally. He looks around with wide eyes.

"Whoa..." he says mostly to himself as he takes in the vast and strange place he's found himself in. He spins around as he looks, three full times, before he excitedly runs off to explore.

He can be found at the fairy fountains as he's given a fairy coin. He turns it over and asks what he should do with it. When told to make a wish and toss it into the fountain, he nods and thinks. What should he wish for?

"I wish one of my friends were here," he says finally and tosses it into the fountain. Then he looks around. "Did my wish come true?"

After that, he will wonder to the fairy wells. Peeking inside, the water bubbles bright with hues of pinks, blues, yellows, and greens. He smiles and laughs as he watches the swirling colors. He then wonders everywhere he can go here in the fairy kingdom.

He'll be strolling in the Petal Court Gardens and he may be snagging a leaf or two and putting them in his mouth to eat. He'll look into the pools and hearing that he could burst into song, he laughs. His true emotions? He just starts singing this is the song that never ends as he keeps walking. Then drops off when it's obvious people might be getting annoyed.

In the Glowshimmer Groves he is fascinated by the glowing plants. He hums and touches them, watching them all light up as he makes his way through. He will approach anyone he finds also enjoying them with a smile.

"These are cool, right? I had one remind me of the first time I had waffles. Isn't that neat?"

K-11 makes his way to the Skybud Terraces and ends up shooting high itno the sky on platforms and bridges. He laughs as he's launched high thanks to his bubbly enthusiasm and jumps from one platform to another, not a single shred of fear found in him.

"This is so fun! I wonder how high I can go! Wheeeeee!"

Eventually, he'll end up in the Whimsy Market, looking at all the fun things to buy. He has a sentient scarf in his hands and a small little pipe fox familiar curled up in his hair.

"So...I just need to give emotional energy? How do I do that? Do I spit it out? Oooooor is it like in my blood? Sorry, I've never done this before."

(OoC: Just a note - Meteion is thousands of years old, but she has the body of a teen for her normal form. Well, a teen with wings on her head and bird feet, but still.)

Fairy Yule To You

Meteion was so confused by these turns of events. Wasn't her purpose finished? She had been shown the error of her ways, shown that happiness can be found even in the bleakest of worlds and was willing to ferry the warrior who showed her all this before shutting down.

Yet, here she was, alive and well, in a brand new world, being told by an adorable winged creature where she was and how she got here. It felt a lot better than those first places she was in, away from the empty snowy world and the strange building with everyone around her checking up on her.

And then, items started falling. First it was the phone landing in her hands, the charm of an Elpis flower.

"Oh. H-How cute...!" she uttered. Mesmerized by the device, she was taken off-guard by her clothes flopping on her head. "UWAH! I-I c-can't see!"

So, now there was a monster girl flailing around, the wings on her head flapping in panic and her bird feet stumbled around.

Part 1

You just might find Meteion skating on the newly-appearing ice rink. Despite her feet, she'll have found the right pair of skates and is just enjoying herself on the ice.

He has little time to react before the man runs right into him and he grunts, falling backwards and landing on his butt.]

There are also strange toy missiles and toads around them. Yes, they might have gotten the mistletoe prompt wrong.

He looks back startled then at the talking dog? Is it a dog? He isn't sure but still, he smiles.

[Well, her question is answered -- of course they're allowed to cry now if the wells can randomly induce it! Rinku doesn't seem to be causing any problems with the wells herself, though; the ones she passes are already bright and colourful.

What she does have by the truckload is positivity, though. Thus, you can find her trying out fairy magic with a sparkle in her eye (granted, she's always got that). For instance, shrinking to the size of a mouse again and climbing up onto the roof of the well.]

[Whoever thought getting a doctor all by himself the chance to share a possible sweet moment with another clearly did not realize that it would be like trying to move an ice block with their bare hands: they might as well be trying Hell Mode. Which is why there's two fairy bunnies with mistletoe in their paws following Zayne around as he goes around to do his errands.

The weird thing is that he's not trying to shoo them away, instead letting them join him as he works. One bunny thought that this would work in their favor and play the long game (he also gave them food so they're happy) but the other one...well, they have a job to do. It huffs as they decide to grab onto Zayne's shoulder and teleport them to anyone else with a bunny.]

Twilight was really lucky not to get involved with the oddball portals going around, allowing her to visit one of the ice skating rinks, especially at Frostreign. You might happen to find her in her hybrid human-alicorn form ice skating, in her alicorn form enjoying the hot cocoa on a booth or even in both forms while investigating the Winter Market and what they hold.

"Wow, so much here to enjoy! Really gets you in the mood for the season, doesn't it?" she said, idly.

Part 2

Twilight had long heard of Rinku's oddball mistletoe kissing booth and figured of doing something of it for herself... though a bit of a test. For science.

She'll have her own booth set up near the apartments, stuck with snow bunnies carrying both mistletoe and missile-toads. The sign under the booth explains everything.

[ what an interesting sort of place this is. the fairy realm, yes, but also the world as a whole - it's difficult to believe that this isn't all one strange dream, but pinching the back of her hand several times does not wake her up. for now, she supposes that she must accept her time here for what it is, however much her feathers have been ruffled by her arrival.

alas. one must forge on with dignity and grace, rather than squawking like an angry goose. so it's time to explore. to explore, and sample the local foods and wares. and so xianyun finds herself perusing the many colorful stalls at the whimsy market with a critical eye, frowning as she examines all manner of strange and fantastic items.

having come across a stained glass shop, she tilts her head toward several dragon pieces, which the shopkeep claims will give you the ability to sprout illusory wings and breathe colorful glamoured fire for one hour per day. ]

One already has wings, surely there must be something more useful?

[ the rabbits are quite cute with their little wings and their matchmaking, though of course, xianyun has no need of a partner. the rabbit will not be convinced, however, and it herds her toward someone else despite her complaints and insistence that no such thing is necessary.

Hmph. One is perfectly content without requiring a kiss, thank you.

[Even given that Zagreus is, at this point, very used to passing through all sorts of strange places, finding himself in the middle of not just a garden but a brightly lit garden is nothing at all like what he'd expected. Sure, the signs are a step up from the blankness of earlier, but they still don't explain a whole lot. Not without... a whole lot more explanation, really.

Truth be told, he still isn't even entirely certain why he's ended up dressed all in white, though at least he still has his crown of laurels if nothing else. Still, it's the signs that seem to be giving him the most trouble, given that he's stopped in front of one (that it happens to floating doesn't seem to bother him.)]

So I just follow these to the central plaza and... then what?

[He doesn't seem to be specifically asking whoever happens to be nearby, but that's mostly because he hasn't exactly stopped to see whether or not anyone else happens to be nearby.]

[Once he finally manages to make it out of the fairy realm (which had been interesting if a little strange) Zagreus wastes no time in exploring the rest of the world he has arrived in. Admittedly, he seems to be trying to see as much as he possibly can, as if he's half-expecting to not be able to sooner than he expects, but, well. It's his first time actually seeing a market like this and he turns up at... pretty much any stall imaginable. He isn't certain he'll be able to pay for anything - he's pretty sure he left all his money back in the underworld and even if he hadn't, he isn't sure that these stalls would take obols.

Still, he takes in the sights with a surprisingly genuine joy, turning only when someone approaches - the sights might be one thing but he does still have questions.]

Is this sort of thing common here?

[He means, mostly, the marketplace. But he doesn't think to clarify that over the items at the stall he happens to be nearby, whatever they should be.]

[When he's not spending time at the markets, Zagreus spends most of his time exploring elsewhere. Just at the moment however, he's stopped by one of the fairy bunnies - one of the ones that seems to have gotten a little confused by the idea of mistletoe. Not that Zagreus has ever really heard of it in this context and has no idea why the bunny is holding another creature. Honestly, he hasn't even really seen a rabbit before, but whatever it's supposed to be he's... pretty sure this isn't how things are meant to work.

The only problem is actually getting the bunny to set the frog go, which is what Zagreus can be found in the middle of here.]

Margaret stands to the side of the fairy circles, sunlight glinting off her pauldron as she takes in the colors of Nightwake. The joy in the air is unmistakable, but it does not dull her vigilance; rather, it sharpens it. The situation, the abduction, the existence of another world, there’s still much she has to digest. Still, the laughter of the fairies and the warmth that sounds across the kingdom stir something gentler in her chest.

As she watches her fellow newcomers stumble into Ellipsa, her expression softens. The prank is ill-mannered, perhaps, but not cruel, and she notes with approval that the fairies offer guidance rather than abandonment. The spontaneous arrival of smartphones and effects of others earns a raised brow, gaining a steady understanding of these fairies while she watches and learns.

Fairy Yule to You – Part 1.5

When the fairies speak of their rules, Nearl nods her head in solemn respect. Boundaries are sacred, whether drawn by kings, contracts, or beings of….magic, apparently. She will not eat what is forbidden, nor will she surrender her true name, whatever that may mean. In this strange, radiant kingdom, she knows and resolves to act as she always has: with restraint, compassion, and a knight’s unwavering commitment.

That being said.

The fountain and its promise does give her pause. Power gained without trial often carries a hidden price, she thinks, and she would not rush to accept it simply because it is offered with a smile. But the fairies haven’t yet proved they are wicked, nor have they really proved they are trust worthy. Their ways are different, unusual even by the standards of someone as travelled as she. All she knows is there is no hostility towards her or anyone as far as she can tell.

So she ruminates on the prospect of given power. If such strength could be used to protect others, then it deserves careful consideration. The question she chews on, staring at the fountain – coin in one hand and the other at her chin in thought – was how a knight can or accept such a thing, honestly, and without greed, even just once.

Fairy Yule to You – Part 2 - The Colorless Ruins

Margaret steps into the ruins with measured caution, her armor dimmed by the pale light that clings to the broken stone. The silence leans in, heavy and watchful, and she can almost feel the lingering scars of a darkness that once stripped even the fae of their colors.

Meet Me Under the Missile-Toad – Part 1

Margaret pauses mid-step as fluttering wings and ribbons fill her vision, mistletoe bobbing insistently above her head. Her first instinct is to stand firm, because she is unsure of what is happening. ‘This feels suspiciously like a trap’ she thinks but the fairy bunnies’ earnest delight disarms her far more effectively than any feint. Though single-minded devotion to togetherness leaves her somewhat quietly flustered.

When a few bunnies hover around her with renewed determination however, that’s when Margaret’s composure wavers. She is no stranger to courage on the battlefield, yet the expectation of a kiss feels like a trial of an entirely different sort. She gently offers dandelions instead, hoping kindness will be accepted where boldness falters. Should that fail.…she’s confident in her speed.

Meet Me Under the Missile-Toad – Part 2

The appearance of a confused bunny escorting a missile toad earns a rare, startled blink. It takes a lot for someone like her to be startled, usually takes something of a calamitous nature or raw primal destructive power to get the Radiant Knight to waver.

This was neither of those and still she faltered. A thought came to her, ‘…What would the Doctor and Amiya think of this?’ she wondered as she absent mindedly walked over to the confused bunny.

Margaret swiftly and carefully releases the toad, ensuring no harm comes of the mistake, and gives the bunny a reassuring nod and a dandelion for good measure. As she lowers the toad to the ground settle, she exhales softly—accepting that even a knight of Kazimierz must sometimes endure warmth and whimsy – even if that whimsy meant she easily spotted several toads in unfortunate flights.

“…Such a thing. Maybe I should ask for assistance….or make the local officials aware….”

I. FAIRY YULE TO YOU

[ Waking up suddenly after the barrage of chaos on the ship they were just in was not necessarily... new. But not seeing the familiar faces of the other crew members immediately trying to explain to them on the other hand, is.

Not to mention that the clothes they're wearing is definitely not the ones they usually have on their person. At least it's something for once, though.

But after roaming around in the snow a bit, they found themselves in a fairy ring and caught off guard to the point where they wound up screaming in surprise - only to find themselves in the Fairy Kingdom, looking completely lost and out of their element. ]

Where...? [ they start to say in a rather clueless manner, before they see the fairies around giggling, as they do. "Our prank was such a success!" they all cry out with the biggest of smiles before flying off. ] Prank?! Wait--

[ And of course, Yuri goes ahead and tries to chase after the poor fairies. But in their attempt to do that, they might accidentally bump into one of the Otherworlders - perhaps that one is you? ]

[ Yuri is definitely one of those "needs a little joy in their life" people, as someone who's just gotten here and has dealt with... let's just say a lot.

But Yuri isn't exactly familiar with the holiday season, being an unfortunate amnesiac so they find themselves just scrutinizing the bunny who seems to be carrying a missile toad and asks the nearest person: ]

How different it looks from when she first saw it, all overgrown and drained of its colours! Now, the colourful lights invite the visitors to explore.

Having thrown a fairy coin into the fountain to increase her mana reserves, she's cheerily looking around - until she spots someone picking up a familiar-looking liquid-filled syringe, and her smile abruptly drops. She hastens towards the fellow otherworlders.]

Fortunately, the many lights encourage others to stay out after dark as well! Excploring the winter market, she smiles at the person looking at the wares next to her.]

[Hijikata isn't outstandingly enthusiastic about revisiting the fairy kingdom, but of course, he ultimately tags along (though he leaves his pokémon in their balls, not trusting them to not eat any fairy food and end up in trouble). Once onsite, he does have to admit that the place has changed a lot from when they first came here to liberate it from the corrupted fae occupation... and, surprisingly, there are disoriented newcomers to be found here, too!]

[How is it already Yuletide season again? But while Hijikata doesn't care much for sweet treats and ice skating, he does appreciate the opportunities to purchase seasonal presents for his ever-expanding circle of mentees, sworn siblings, friends and... okay, his number of lovers has de- rather than increased, but, you know, he does what he can!]

Buying presents is so goddamn hard. Most people have everything they need already!

Part 2

[The mistletoe tradition has always disgruntled Hijikata. He doesn't want kisses!! As such, he exhales a waft of smoke in the face of a fairy bunny trying to dangle one over him.]

Get lost, rodent! Seriously, at least just hang them up somewhere so busy people can avoid them!

[The fairy bunnies had their work cut out for them today! First there was this rude man yelling at them and blowing smoke in their faces, and then there was this awkward lady, ducking and dodging to try and avoid a particularly swift one chasing her with mistletoe!]

[It almost seemed to be trying to guide Medusa somewhere (or perhaps, toward anyone she might be receptive to), but in her hurry to get away from it, she didn’t realise until-]

1. Arrival (Part 3)

A. Research Center
[ The moment Yuzuki has made it through the orientation and out of the Arrival's Hall, he calls upon his shadows. His shadow grins back at him, an eerie slash of starlight against inky midnight, and rises up to ripple and whirl around him. When it settles again just a brief moment later, the white outfit he'd arrived in is gone and in its place is something a good deal more dapper. And in the coat's case, something distinctly more magical; anyone who had been watching closely enough may have thought that it resembled a cloak of sorts, or perhaps even wings, before it resolved itself into its chosen shape. ]

Now that's more like it.

[ It's such a refreshing change, not needing to flirt to access his magic. ]

B. Reading Pamphlets
[ Maybe you happen upon him in the Welcome Center, or in or around the Starter Apartments building! Either way, he's found himself a comfortable spot to people-watch and peruse some pamphlets -

He pauses. His tail flicks, just slightly, at the tip. He rereads the last couple of sentences. ]

[ He frowns at those last couple of sentences like they personally insulted him. ]

2. Yuletide Festivities

A. One Bunny
Persistent one, aren't you. [ This is addressed to the (thoroughly out of breath) fairy bunny hovering by his head. Yuzuki chuckles, watching the little thing wave its sprig of mistletoe with exhausted insistence. ] Colour me impressed.

So. [ This is addressed to you. Hi! ] How about it?

B. Many Bunny
[ There is one supremely put-upon Yuzuki sipping hot chocolate on a bench close to one of the pop-up ice rinks. ]

[ How he's able to lift his arms to drink while being used as a perch by approximately 26 fairy bunnies is anybody's guess. ]

Macaque spots the dapper monkey as he's leaving the research center, as Macaque drops by every so often hoping to see Miyuni. He does a quick double-take. What in the...?

"What are you doing here?" he asks smoothly, despite being dumbfounded. He can hear Choco elsewhere. Did the alters manage to separate? Does Choco know about him now? Koronai must be going ballistic.

Glowshimmer Groves

[ Viktor can be found skulking around the groves and gathering as many of the plants he can. His satchel is actually glowing the same as the runic halo behind him. It almost makes him blend in with the surrounding flora.

If he comes upon you, you can have a towering 8-foot-tall eldritch being peering over your shoulder. ] If you apply a certain amount of pressure, the tone of the hum varies. Curious, is it not?

Dewsong Pools

[ At the dewsong pools, Viktor is contemplative. The water has always been a part of his oasis back home. Here it is even more soothing, given the music and its effects. He is curious about how the water applies such effects to a person and so he will be carefully taking samples by filling up numerous vials of the water. He will give an appreciative hum as he inspects said vial before taking that notebook and pencil to jot something down.

If he sees you staring at him working, he will turn his head to regard whoever it is with those unblinking golden eyes of his. ] If you are going to stare, perhaps you might help me with something?

Colorforge Hollow

[ The crystals in question pique Viktor's interest, given his work with crystals back home. He's examining a few as he fiddles with several in his hands. He makes no notion of having imbued any with his emotions, but then one of those crystals shifts and molds itself into a gear with smatterings of reds, greens, and yellows within it. He looks at it with some fondness, though it's hard to notice and convey, but there is a pleased noise in his chest as he holds it close to his chest before putting it in the bag at his side. ]

Winter Market

[Perusing the various stands, Viktor stands out like a sore thumb, mostly because of his towering presence, but also the long scarf he's wearing, which he doesn't need at all. But it was at the insistence of a shopkeeper that he take it and do what he will with it. Jayce could perhaps use it, the colors are red, green, and gold after all.

He walks through the market with little purpose only stopping to look at electronics that he really, really, seems fascinated with. Upon finding a handheld gaming system his head tilts ever so curiously at it before buying it and finding a place well out of the hustle and bustle to sit down and really fiddle with it. He's really deep into it as he's on his fifth round of playing Tetris with no end in sight. ]

[ Well. Being teleported by a rabbit of all things was not in Viktor's itinerary for the day, but here we are!! He was simply going about his day when suddenly he is not in the vicinity of another fellow otherworlder like himself. He can't exactly express his emotions like this very well, but he does make his displeasure known with a noise of annoyance. It's not directed at the individual; he's now stuck with what they get is something entirely different. ] I apologize for the interruption. This will be quick and painless.

[ He doesn't actually have lips to kiss??? But, sure, they'll just have to make due with the nonsense. ] I know that I am not exactly the ideal pick for such things, but it would be best to simply go through with it.

Missile toads

[ And then of course there is the nagging need to help those in the path of the missile toads. Viktor has several bunnies lazily draped over his shoulder when he undoes yet another missile toad blunder. He also seems to be carrying a few bunnies in his arms and toads?? Listen, he might look like an eldritch terror, but he's not about to let bunnies or toads go free in busy streets. He'll hold a toad in his hand, watching it ribbit before handing it off to the hexclaw affixed to his back. ]

The nearest pond, or wooded area, if you would show the way? I would appreciate the assistance.

The tall turtle is standing by the fountain, watching the water glitter and arc around it. He seems to be contemplating the coin in his hand as he does. After a moment, he closes his fist around it like he's making a wish on it and then tosses it, lightly, into the waters.

"Can't hurt to make a wish on top of it, eh?" he says in a friendly way, "Especially if that magical upgrade can help me out with my Summer powers."

He tilts his head and smiles.

"You gonna add a wish to yours, too?"

Meet Me Under The Missle-Toad Part 1-A

Ishkode has been waiting for this.

He'd been told about how the ice rinks would start showing up sometime around the beginning of the Winter season and he's been lying in wait. So when the new market stalls start going up he actually skips out on the food and the drinks for now and, instead, has made a beeline for one of the rinks.

He's practically been there ever since.

Having skates that fit him again feels incredible. He hasn't been on the ice like this since he was just a little guy. That first moment or two, he's a little unsteady, since it's been so long, but his dancer's balance and strength helps along with the fact that this is one of the few things in life he is truly passionate about. Soon enough he's ripping around on the ice at high speeds, totally in his element, cheeks flushed from the cold but grinning, widely. He seems to be trying to do little tricks and such here and there, too, though it's obvious he's not entirely sure how to do them, yet.

He comes sliding to a stop near the edge of the boards, laughing breathlessly and leaning against the side a bit as he shakes his head.

"Figure skaters make that stuff look so easy, but I've already fallen on my tail twice now." he laughs and then nods to the person he stopped near. "You ever skated before? You should come out here and give it a try! It's a ton of fun!"

Meet Me Under The Missle-Toad Part 1-B

Eventually, the draw of the myriad of market stalls will overcome Ishkode's love of ice skating.

Skates laced together and thrown over one of his shoulders, the turtle is wandering about the Winter Market, perusing the goods. He's got what appears to be a steaming pastry shaped like a fish in one hand, which he's clearly enjoying.

He seems to be looking over a stall full of teas and coffees and hot chocolate mixes done up in fancy bottles. He seems to be having a hard time deciding on which one he might want to get. He huffs a little and looks over at the person standing near him.

"Do you think it'd be too much to buy somebody one of everything for Christmas?" he asks, "I can't decide which flavour she'd like more..."

I suppose that would be an efficient way of doing things. [ He says, thoughtfully, then frowns a little bit. ] You're... not feeling any adverse effects, are you?

01; Arrival of the King of Conquerors
Light greets Iskandar — warm, generous, and unburdened by smoke or blood. The clash with Gilgamesh, the roar of their battle, all of it has been cut cleanly away, as if the world itself fell away with him.

He stands barefoot in pale sand, dressed in plain white cloth instead of armor. Before him stretches an endless ocean beneath a flawless sky. No matter how long he stares—or how far he walks—the horizon never draws closer.

Iskandar laughs loudly and deeply; his whole being echoes with delight.

"So I have reached Oceanus at last."

Only then does he notice the others, scattered along the shore. Men and women in similar white garments, as well as in other strange garb.

He folds his arms, grinning at the sea.

"A fitting end, to have reached the horizon that was to be my ultimate conquest."

Turning back to the strangers, his voice rings with command and warmth.

"Come! If we’ve awakened here together, then let us not face eternity in silence."

2; Fairy Yule to You
The world opened like a banner caught by the wind.

One moment there was the endless beach and ocean — and the next, the air itself split into color. Circles hidden in the sand, then sudden rings of light stitched with petals and laughter, and suddenly there was a doorway yawning wide into somewhere impossibly bright. From which poured warmth, music, and the heady scent of flowers that had never known winter.

The plaza burst open before him like the heart of a festival. At its center stood a great fountain, water suspended in impossible arcs, parchment floating nearby. Fairies flitted in and out of his vision, wings shimmering, giggling with absolutely no remorse, and speaking of pranks and rules to be observed. Iskandar roared with laughter again, clapping his hands together once, loud enough to startle a few of them.

"A prank that abducts armies and deposits them in paradise? Magnificent! Whoever rules this land has spirit! But to summon the King of Conquerors, and then have the gall not to stand and greet me. He is a bold one."

3; Wintermarket
Iskandar stepped into the market with a grin that could split mountains. Gone was the full armor and crimson cloak that were his standard adornments — replaced by warm, comfortable clothes that allowed him to move among the crowds without drawing too much attention. Yet even in plain garb, his presence radiated authority, like a king among townsfolk.

He paused at a bustling stall, eyes sweeping over hand-carved ornaments, glittering trinkets, and brightly wrapped gifts. Steam rose from mugs of spiced cider and roasted nuts, and children darted past on the ice rink nearby, laughter trailing behind them.

"Ha! Even the simplest things here are worthy of admiration! Look at this craftsmanship! Such artistry is truly worthy of a king, and yet is so readily available. How magnificent."

He moved down the market aisle, inspecting every stall with exaggerated curiosity—pointing at baubles, sniffing pastries, and occasionally hefting a heavier item as if considering whether it could serve in battle.
