SUMMARY

  • A mysterious portal dimension, x444y444, has been found and dubbed "Nega-Ellipsa"
  • Signs of strange activity have been reported
  • The Research Centre is looking for volunteers to investigate it

Part 1

On March 13th, a call is sent out from the Research Centre, specifically the department that's been researching portal dimensions.

The dimension at coordinates x444, y444 has been dubbed Nega-Ellipsa, a weird copy of Ellipsa, and portals have appeared inside that those coming in from Ellipsa (including otherworlders) can't go through. They're sent to investigate where the portals came from and what makes this dimension different from others.

Meanwhile, elsewhere in the city, people start seeing brief images of people and places in the dimension. Is that your friend from home? Maybe someone who used to be in Ellipsa? Or an enemy you're worried about? The images are still and don't last long, but are appearing often enough that it feels like something or someone really wants more people to investigate what's going on in Nega-Ellipsa and fix whatever's gone wrong. Especially once reports start coming in that all the visions are real.

Part 1

Everyone coming into Nega-Ellipsa will notice that the name seems perfectly apt. The portal from the Research Centre leads straight into the exact same room, but upside down, with all the furniture apparently bolted to the ceiling. The front door leads out into the streets of Nightwake, but everything looks just a little off... or a lot off. Like how the Research Centre is upside down. Or the police station is replaced by something that resembles a flower yard, but with no flowers blooming. Or the Mecha Hangar is clipping into the Starter Apartments like some kind of model glitch in a game. And strangest of all, there seems to be nobody living here.

The other districts, as well as the Segments outside the city, also look mostly like their real counterparts but with some changes. Blue cherry blossoms, lake water that tastes like ramune, places just slightly off to the side or even upside down or backwards. The four flower yards outside the city are missing, replaced functionally with the one in the city. And character homes might be changed, moved, or even combined with each other.

If the oddness feels similar to the last fourth wall, that isn't the only thing. Characters who enter Nega-Ellipsa will temporarily have full access to all their powers. This means all regular, animal shifting, and dragon-blessed powers for their season, whether or not they have learned these skills and/or performed the dragon ritual. It also includes any canon and/or CRAU powers that they normally do not have (aside from any that would break the game such as transporting between worlds).

On the flip side, this is Nega-Ellipsa, so sometimes the powers may misbehave and do the opposite of what they're supposed to. Can't have everything.

Any reward items from Riki's Rewards or the Shady Shop can also be obtained at no cost in Nega-Ellipsa. (Or their Nega-Ellipsa counterparts, "Riku's Rewards" and "Better? Stronger? Free!" at least, but the insides are the same. There aren't any staff either.) Unfortunately, these items can't be taken through the portal back to Ellipsa and will just disappear and respawn back in the shop if someone tries.

There are also more teleport nodes all around the Segments, much like the ones in the city, that will take characters into the city... usually. Sometimes they mess up. The airship stations are also all still operating in Nega-Ellipsa, but without any staff. Hope you can fly one.

Part 2

The portals the Research Centre mentioned are cropping up all over Nega-Ellipsa. There seems to be no limit to where they will spawn, either in the city or Segments. Each is big enough to let a person through, but anyone who came through Ellipsa (that is, in-game characters) can't go through to another world. Even if what they see on the other side is their own world, or one they've been to before.

The biggest surprise is when other people appear from these portals. They can return through their portal at any time, but cannot go through the portal in the Research Centre to go back to Ellipsa or go through anyone else's portal. When they come through the portal from their world, a mark will appear somewhere on their body, and a matching one will appear on top of the portal they came from. The symbol is somewhat related to the character who has it and their world.

These guests have also been assigned a season (Winter, Spring, Summer, or Autumn) and also have full access to powers from that season. See regular, animal shifting, and dragon-blessed powers.

And hey, they each get a new phone with a flower charm, just like every other otherworlder! How thoughtful.

Part 3

The network infrastructure still exists in Nega-Ellipsa, and so it has its own network! Characters will still have their own accounts carried over or be able to make one. Any network posts made inside this dimension can be made either in a toplevel or here.

For some reason, the network display is yellow text on a dark purple background and looks like it was coded in 1998.

  • Nega-Ellipsa has the same monsters as Ellipsa, and Darkness has been creeping in from somewhere
  • Dark energy is manifesting a new type of monster
  • These monsters correspond to each portal and have to be defeated to keep Darkness from invading that portal and thus the world beyond it
  • Defend visitors' portals and get them back home to their worlds safely

Part 1

Nega-Ellipsa is also populated by many of the same monsters as the real Ellipsa (aside from the other sapient races, which, like humans, are oddly absent). None are in the city proper, but many are in their usual spots out in the Segments, while some may be displaced -- why is there a group of Roaming Candles playing in the Flaming Grassland when they usually live in the Winter Segment?

Any non-restricted monster can be encountered and fought in the Segments. It might even be a good opportunity to test out new abilities for visitors and existing otherworlders alike! Especially since season powers are more effective on many of the stronger ones.

Part 2

But a more pressing concern is that, those who came in from Ellipsa may recall, many of those monsters were created by the Darkness 18 years ago. The strongest monsters even still have their Darkness auras that resist offworld magic. But that would mean the Darkness is at large in Nega-Ellipsa too -- and with all these portals open, the risk is far too high.

The Research Centre sends a warning through the Nega-Ellipsa network:

We've received reports that Darkness and Darkness-warped monsters are appearing in Nega-Ellipsa. The portals around this dimension letting people in from other worlds seem to be connected to the monsters as well. Look out for the mark on the visitors and their portals. If you see one of those marks on a monster, take it out.

Darkness took a horrible toll on Ellipsa. It can't be allowed to migrate into other people's homeworlds.


Near each of these portals, a shadow creature can be fought: a new monster called a Marked Shade. A tall (2-3m) humanoid creature made of Darkness, with the only light on it being the mark on its forehead that matches that on one of the visitors and their portal, in the colour of their season (blue for Winter, pink for Spring, green for Summer, orange for Autumn). Marked Shades have claws, fangs, and spines, and are resistant to everything but season magic.

Defeating a Marked Shade will cause the corresponding portal to glow white. Darkness and Darkness-affected monsters will no longer be able to get near it.

Part 3

Once the Marked Shades have been neutralized, visitors' worlds will be safe from the threat of Darkness invading. However, they still can't migrate into Ellipsa proper, and the Research Centre workers tell everyone that once they return to their worlds, the portals will close behind them.

Nega-Ellipsa will be closed and kept under the control of the Research Centre for further study to find out how the Darkness got there and how the portals came to be. But before then, the otherworlders of Ellipsa and the new arrivals will be given time to say their goodbyes and hope to meet again someday.

Then he did the obvious thing.

He tried to kick the can, hard, intending to knock it over and make whoever was hiding inside tumble out.

[Mai, a snowflake marking peeking out from under her dress collar, walks impassively through the streets. She'd look normal if it weren't for the... plastic sword? strapped to her back and the utter lack of expression.

Until she sees a stray Pegasus Dog snuffling in a garbage can for food. Her face doesn't change, but she stares at it, almost sparkling.]

[The Mecha Hangar merging with the Starter Apartments certainly is a spectacle, and one this visitor just keeps staring at. ...And occasionally poking the wall.]

[Mai's eyes narrow. She draws out her sword, and suddenly, what was an obviously fake weapon suddenly looks real. And, judging by how she rushes a Marked Shade to slice at it, cuts real.]

They're strong. Can you fight?

Spotting someone, he stopped, looked at them, then back down to his device before tapping out a message and holding it up.]

Don't Be So Nega-Ellipsa Part 1

As the portals open around Nega-Ellipsa, one opens outside the Research Center itself, near the center of the city. A symbol glows above the portal. A circle of roses interlocked with thorny vines and leaves. It is a wheel of six roses with the one at the top in full bloom. A woman emerges from the portal. Her skin is soft, her eyes a steely blue, her blond hair tied back neatly into a ponytail. Her dress is quite obviously Victorian inspired with the wide skirt, white ruffles, and the laced front and back. She wears black heelless heels that give her a few more inches of height. In her hands in a matching blue and white lacey parasol.

She smiles softly as she emerges from the portal and takes in her surroundings. She will approach anyone around. Should there be no one, she will simply start walking. She will explore at a leisurely pace at first. Should she still find no one or become more interested in her surroundings, she takes flight like it is nothing. The wind picks up and catches her umbrella and off she floats into the air to fly with the wind and explore Nightwake first.

Her exploration will take her out further into the segments. She is able to simply float on the wind, fly, or appear out of nowhere via teleportation. For now, she simply explores and will approach any she sees for conversation.

"Hello there. It seems I've arrived in a new and interesting place. Are you familiar with this world, by chance?"

Don't Be So Nega-Ellipsa Part 2

The Marked Shadow makes its way toward the portal the Queen emerged from. She is not having it. She stands before the creature, blocking its way into the portal proper. With a flick of the finger, lightning bursts from the sky and strikes the creature with little to show for it. Fire erupts around it next, followed by swords erupting from the ground beneath it, and yet its flesh seems to fend off the attacks. Her lips purse as nothing seems to slow the creature down.

"Troublesome, aren't you?" she asks before the creature rushes her.

The Wheel of Fate is Turning Round 1 [For Macaque]

"You might as well reveal yourself," she says suddenly as she sits in a chair outside of a cafe. She can feel the magic and the eyes on her. Steely blue eyes don't bother to open as she sips her coffee. Her umbrella sits next to her, folded up, and balanced against the cafe table. There may be no humans or waitstaff here, but she was served coffee regardless. Obviously by the stone man she created who steps out of the coffee shop to stand guard beside her.

"Surely watching me is not so interesting. You may as well come join me for a cup of coffee if you find me so fascinating."

At this point, perhaps you are looking for the Queen of Magic to settle a score. After all, she sits in a rose garden she has manifested in Nightwake at this point upon a throne of metal and plush cushions. Two stone statues sit behind her throne, one is Mike and the other Max Davis, who is flipping the bird. She's also murdered Macaque at this point as well. She sits as if she's declared herself queen of Nega-Ellipsa. Which, well, she definitely has as well.

Ready to thrown down?

Hearing that she is puttering around, Macaque was content to watch, and wait. And practice the spell he'd been tinkering with, which could maybe have a thrown sun land in a portal and not on anyone. But then the bitch went and turned Max and Mike to stone. Max would have been insult enough, but Mike is close to Cole and Wukong so the pair of them trapped like that is more than sufficient to get Macaque to start watching her more aggressively.

If only there was some guaranteed way to get the advantage, force her to turn them back, he'd have taken it. But--

Sigh. She's talking to him. He expected as much, but was hoping to have a little bit longer to prepare. Welp, now or never.

Macaque flips out of a portal and into the chair opposite her. "I prefer tea," he says with a casual grin.

[Xanxus appears in the middle of the fucking Winter Segment. At least he's fully clothed and all, but what the fuck. This just reminds him of the old man again... it makes him angry.

Not as angry as the Snow Shark suddenly appearing from the ground and leaping at him with its full force. Xanxus takes a gun and aims straight at the thing's head and shoots it clear off.

Well, almost. It seems the shark only appeared to die but appeared again. Which is when he just blasts it again with even greater force.]

A piece of trash should stay dead.

[Eventually he makes his way to the city and just gets into a restaurant to eat and drink everything in sight. What? It's free if there's no one here to sell it.]

[While fighting monsters is a pain in the ass, Xanxus doesn't really want his world to be affected by whatever shit this was. So he's fighting, but stubbornly not using his new Seasonal powers.]

This fucking place.

[Yeah his regular shots aren't doing much damage to the Shades, but he's stubborn and doesn't know when to quit. Even when he's bleeding.]

[ The sight of Xanxus bleeding is certain to send Squalo into a frenzy, and not of the good sort. There's a whoosh as a huge shadow rushes past them, Alo diving against their enemies. She doesn't seem to be doing comparatively much damage either, but the Rain Flames at least do appear to be slowing the monsters down somewhat. ]

[ And, of course, there's Squalo trying to wedge himself between them and Xanxus, as if this hasn't ended in a heart transplant the last time he tried it. ]

[Lancer considers himself lucky that he ends up right next to a bridge that seems to go to the city as he appears through the portal. This sure wasn't Lunatia anymore - nor was it Fuyuki or Ireland... the world on the otherside of the portal looked very much like level 1 of Lunatia.

Was this a start of another great adventure? Would his Master be here somewhere? Though he couldn't really feel their contract right now so that was going to be a mystery for now.

Instead he leaves his portal to wander into the city to have a look. Straight into the district of Dayrise.]

Huh... did I somehow get to ancient Rome or something? ... or not...?

[Why does the Coliseum look like it's sideways anyway... he tilts his head, trying to get an understanding of it.]

[Lucky him! Dayrise has baths that he can just enjoy. However the water is... definitely not normal water.]

Man, can't anything be normal around here... If I wanted to take a bath in soda I would have specifically gone for one...

[He's too lazy to get up though right now. It's a comfortable temperature and at least it isn't leaving his skin sticky.]

[Otherwise, Lancer is around the city, observing places and occasionally jumping from rooftops if he sees someone who is potentially a strong opponent -- or just a familiar face. Surprise Lancer?]

[Eventually, Lancer wanders back into the Segments to start some fights against monsters. If there's something to fight, it's a high chance Lancer is there to do just so.

He has his new fire powers, too, thanks to being aligned with summer. So he uses both those and his trust Gae Bolg to dispatch monsters left and right, having the time of his life.]

[Sakura is used to travelling to other worlds. She's just not as sure about this one, if any of the others are around as she more immediately glances at her surroundings and somehow instinctively expects to find them right at her side as usual. Her white and pink outfit probably does stand out a little bit, with all the gold details and the way the decorations clink together as she moves, exploring tentatively.

If she encounters someone else, she will stop and tentatively ask them:]

[ Syaoran sees her from afar and finds himself wide eyed. Of course, he doesn't realize that the Sakura in front of his eyes is the one he remembers. He knows very well that other worlds can have a 'Sakura' that looks the same and yet...

For now, he keeps his distance, although he isn't exactly hiding - it's enough for Sakura to spot him, at least. ]

[Kalim is no real stranger to the idea of other realms and the like, given his travel from his home to his school and everything. He can't help being excited and curious, in spite of any potential danger, as he arrives and all but immediately starts exploring. His posture is carefree, as if the way he wears his school uniform wasn't already, as he walks around, glancing to and fro at everything to try and take if all in. It's probably almost reminiscent of a child wandering on their own in a toy store, the way he is so curious and enthusiastic.]

It's a whole new world to explore! I wonder if any of the others are around?

[As a Housewarden, Kalim is used to stepping up to make sure others are safe. To moving to step in between the other students and any sort of danger. Well, he is more used to Jamil stepping in to protect him as his bodyguard, but still. He wants to do what he can. He may not be the best student, and his particular unique spell might not be the most impressive, but he wants to try and help!]

[Tsubasa found herself wandering the strange Nega-Nightwake. She should have waited for back up, but she didn’t want to risk something coming out while she was waiting.

So, here she was, wandering the streets by her lonesome, uncertain of what might lurk in the shadows… when noise catches her attention, causing her to spin around, alert.]

Who’s there?! Show yourself!

B) It Came From Another World - 2

[Now that Tsubasa knew the deal with this world, that meant she needed to see what it all had to offer. Which means exploring the various places.

And the fact that it seems that some of the buildings are meshed together seems… concerning.]

Is that… normal?

C) Don’t Be So Nega-Ellipsa

[And now there's a problem: A Nega-Shade. Of course, Tsubasa doesn’t realize that. For all she knows, it's a Noise and if it is, she needs to shut it down. She turns to the person nearby, not realizing they might be able to help.]

Go! Get out of here and get some help! I’ll hold it off!

[And grabbing a pendant out and holding it by the stone, she charges at the creature and…

Begins to sing.]

[ With the Fire Lord defeated and the war over, Toph had sort of been looking forward to leaning back and relaxing for a while. But curiosity and sense of adventure wins over, and so, here she is.

While most people are limited to seeing the strangeness of Nega-Ellipsa with their eyes, she can see well past the walls of the nearest buildings, so it doesn't take her long to exclaim: ]

This is officially the weirdest thing I've ever felt.

A2. It Came from Another World - Accessibility tools

[ It takes her a while to figure out that she received the phone, and yet another little while to work out how to make it function. She'd found a cafe with pastries she could just snatch, and she's chewing away at a cinnamon bun when the phone starts reading out the different apps, and she actually gasps with delight. ]

Whoa, whoa, hold on. You can read things out for me?!

B. Don't Be So Nega-Ellipsa

[ As soon as she finds the warning message from the Research Centre, she returns to her portal, but predictably can't see what the symbol on that or herself is. Not that she easily could see it on herself even if she weren't blind, because it's on her back and hidden beneath her clothes, but anyway--

She returns to her portal, and then flags down the nearest person with a wave. ]

Hey, you! Have you seen a monster with that symbol around anywhere?

[ It would be blue for winter on the monster, but she obviously would have no way of knowing this. ]

Yeah, isn't it cool? I've been trying to teach my Hina-chan to use it, but she's probably too little.

Although when she grows bigger, I guess she won't be blind anymore, but still...

[ Well, now... it's been a while since she's been in this familiar place. She's dressed in flowing red robes, looking quite ethereal- the modern fashion of this place having no longer followed her. Her fox ears and double tails are also out, though she might eventually withdraw them.

At her feet, is a cute little red fox trotting along and she seems to be observing everything quietly. ]

... How did I come back? Did Ren summon me...?

It Came From Another World : Part Two

A portal flares to life nearby. The symbol that glows above it is an ornately decorated golden circle but in the center of it is what appears to be a stylized grinning monkey face. That face may look familiar to some people...

There's a sound coming from the portal, sounding distant at first but growing rapidly louder. Just when someone might be able to discern that it's actually a scream, a figure bursts through the portal at high speed, proving to be the source of the sound.

The figure flies past in a blur, the scream he's making cutting off when he hits the ground with a slightly squeaky 'OOF'. He bounces upwards in a wild tumble before he hits again... and again... and then lands face down and skids to a stop that way, body bent backwards, legs curled over his head, arms spread out on the ground.

He appears to be clutching a shining gold ring.

Slowly, his legs teeter and then flop to the ground, leaving him sprawled face down. He's wearing a red, yellow and green jacket and red pants but what might be most familiar is the tousled mass of dark hair along with the bright red headband fluttering lightly before settling against the back of his head.

MK might not know how the heck he got here or even where he is, exactly, but if there's one thing he knows all too well?

It's bad guys.

The eerie shadowy figure moving slowly towards him is very clearly not a friend and the young man steps into a ready stance as he watches it, intently.

"Alright, you ain't hers and you ain't Macaque's but you're definitely not here to say hi and make me feel welcome."

He reaches up in an automatic gesture to his ear and then blinks for a moment when nothing happens. There's a flicker of confusion and then pained understanding and he puts his hand back down, making a tight fist, instead.

"Right... I gotta do this the old fashioned way. It's cool! It's cool. I can work with that."

He notices someone near by and, still keeping his eyes firmly locked on the Masked Shade, he calls over to them.

"So, uh, hey! Excuse me! You got any idea what's going on? And you didn't happen to see a big blue guy and a girl with a green sword anywhere, didja?"

[ Around Nega-Ellipsa, they'll find one young eighteen year old in her school uniform looking a little concerned as she finds herself looking around the upside down Welcome Center, and just barely can someone hear her mutter almost under her breath. ]

Could this be? No, they already should have stopped by now...

[ But if she spots someone nearby, the flash of concern shifts into a bright smile as she waves, energetic on her heels as she calls out: ]

Yahoo~! Hey, you wouldn't happen to know what's going on, do you? It almost feels like we're in Wonderland or something like that!

[ At some point later, Iori seems to be walking together with Inaba, who seems to be sticking close in an almost protective way. It's definitely something that most people that know the girl - either very well or briefly having seen her at the Welcome Center, Tech Club, or with Death Deliveries - isn't exactly known for.

And it doesn't help that the commotion that people can encounter in the middle of Nega-Ellipsa's parks is of Iori pinching Inaba's cheeks. ]

Oh, come oooon, Inaban, you gotta relax a little more!

"You already know what I'm like, Iori, and that's just not possible right now--"

[ And then she clears her throat, forms a fake mic with her fist and brings it over to the nearest person, you-- ]

[Getting dragged from important work does little for his disposition. Unfortunately he stands less in the way of first impressions as a tall spike-collared wolf of four glowing blue eyes and a scar down the center of his head, dressed in a robe stitched from parchment bearing personal scrawlings or sigils with a shawl carrying surgical tools, all topping off with a metal antenna much like a weather vane sitting atop his head like a crown.

Despite his annoyance, the thrum of technology catches his interest. Such electricity, even beyond that of his pack. As soon as he finishes musing he turns to the nearest unfortunate guest.]

You there. How can this land harness such a glut of sparks? Such power should rival the gods...

[When he isn’t being a looming giant wolf in the worst couture this side of the lands of the old faith, Marchosias will loom as a giant wolf in the research center. Even with the advancements, there comes a greater sense of safety here. Here he can find something of a sanctuary from the madness of the supernatural. In here the Heathen traipses at a far more relaxed stance.

Such calm doesn’t grant him much in the way of tact, as many sure may find.]

[ Well, Hibiki's glad that wherever she is happens to look like a city, but... ]

Eh... EHHH!? Where the heck am I?!

[ Hibiki Tachibana, age 17, blood type O... has arrived in Nega Ellipsa, though hardly gracefully. More like she tripped through her portal and found herself on the other side and now in... well, let's call it what it is, a super creepy place? Yeah.

The first thing she does, at least, is look back and breathe a sigh of relief when she sees that the portal she fell through is still here... but instead of thinking to walk back through it, she turns her attention to the new scenery she's found herself in. ]

Mnn...

[ She can't even begin to grasp what might be happening. It'd be smart to just head back through the portal, right? But the fact that this portal appeared at all is concerning, and it's not like it's gonna close any second now, right? Probably! Still, it'd be bad if she got stuck... ]

...Aaah!! I've got no clue!

[ And she hasn't even noticed the mark on her neck! ]

[ While the situation is rife with confusion, there is still at least one thing that Hibiki can be certain of... and it's that when faced with enemies that threaten to hurt others, then her path is clear. ]>

[ If the sound of battle doesn't draw you in, then the sound of music might. Hibiki wasted no time getting to work in battling whatever monsters she could find, until she managed to make her way back to her own portal, and now... ]

[ Hibiki, transformed, faces off with the Marked Shade on her own... singing her song and... actually holding her own just fine? Despite the Shade's considerable size, it seems to be a relatively even match. If anything, Hibiki is in full control, meeting each swipe of the Shade's claws with a powerful punch to cancel it out. It's not too different from fighting a particularly powerful Noise, after all.

The unfortunate difference, however, is that unlike Noise... for all the force behind each of Hibiki's strikes, she's having little to no effect on the Shade. After all, she isn't using any magic. She doesn't know how! ]

It Came From Another World

The completely deserted streets are strange. The way the buildings are almost clipping together like a badly coded video game is even stranger.

Somehow, though, the person standing nearby looking up at said buildings might be stranger still yet!

They're impeccably dressed. A well tailored and sharply pressed navy blue suit with long coat tails, teal pinstriping and neon red accents, all neatly tied together with a neon red bow tie framed against the crisp white of a high necked dress shirt. An immaculate pair of dress shoes, shined to perfection finish the suit and the prim top hat gives just the right amount of oomph. None of that is particularly strange!

The flat screen TV that the top hat is perched on and seems to be serving as their head, however, definitely is.

One of the little antennae poking out of the top of the hat flicks with a tiny spark as they seem to realize they're being watched. Turning towards whomever it is reveals the front of their flat screen head and the face projected upon it. Broad almond shaped eyes, brilliant neon red with strange teal pupils, one of which is ringed with the same teal. There's a moment where there doesn't seem to be any discernible mouth as the creature glances over the newcomer quickly.

Then smiles.

Wide, almost startlingly so, but somehow utterly charming, the spans of shark like teeth glow a bright teal as the TV headed figure turns and gestures at the nearby building and general surroundings.

"So, given that I've never seen anything as... atrociously tacky... as this, even in Pentagram City, I'm going to assume that I'm not in Kansas anymore. Care to share some information with me, friend~?"

Who's A Good Boy?!

That is a very large, very terrifying monster that seems to be savagely chewing on something else. It's huge, dozens of feet long, with glowing teal lights all up and down it's sinuous and gleaming frame. Long fins at it's sides, across the back and from the thrashing tail. The mouth currently crunching on whatever that used to be is full of gleaming teal teeth. Rows of them. Razor sharp and ginormous.

A shark. But not a shark. Sharks don't generally get quite that big, do they? And don't they usually need to be in water?!

It looks up, rather suddenly, the massive red eye in the middle of it's forehead opening and seeming to focus on whoever was watching it. It spirals and zooms, like a camera lens, the massive beast staring intently for a moment before it drops the thing it was chewing on (a car?!) and wriggles it's body before streaking forward. Straight towards whoever it's staring at!!!

Just before any attack can be made, just long enough to put the fear of God in someone, the beast flings itself into the air and over. Somewhere behind whoever was watching comes a shout, something startled but utterly joyous as well.

"SHOKKY! BABY! How's my precious little sharky-warky~? C'mere!!"

Vox throws himself at the beast, hugging the shark's snout and talking baby talk at him while the beast's tail pounds the asphalt of the street to bits with it's happy wagging.

"Who's a good little death machine?! YOU are! Yes, you are!"

It Came From Another World

At least one person is most assuredly not charmed by the TV Head and his antics. There's a low, dangerous chuckle that seems to come from nowhere and everywhere. Macaque has kept his eyes and all his ears out for this.

"I've got plenty of information for you," the voice says from somewhere indeterminate, because it in fact sounds as though it's coming from every direction.

And then a portal opens beneath Vox and spits him out on the outskirts of the city in an open space, just high enough off the ground for the landing to hurt. Waiting there is a monkey, standing hipshot with loosely crossed arms, wearing a smile sharp enough to cut. His posture and expression could almost be mistaken for amusement but for the fact that the very air around them is practically crackling with fury.
