WANTED CHARACTERS: So, I'd especially like to see some of the cross-unit characters that have been bonding with Mafuyu as of late, so Shizuku and Emu are especially high up on our list, but the other members of Wondershow (Tsukasa and Nene) would especially be great to see for our Rui player! I'd also would be elated to see Akito to complete the Shinonome siblings, Ichika, or even Honami or even any of the Vocaloids (Niigo's especially, as We Are Biased, Here) but honestly, anyone is welcome! Jadeite | Sailor Moon (Classic Anime Version)

CANON: Sailor Moon (Classic Anime Version)

ABOUT: Jadeite is a little fucking shit who thinks he's all that but got run over by a plane and then frozen in ice/crystal by his boss. He is a General of the Dark Kingdom, the first 'big bad' Sailor Moon, Sailor Mercury and Sailor Mars deal with in the Classic Anime and the Manga.

In the Anime, he's an arrogant, egotistical guy who uses the Monster of the Day to cause problems on purpose, searching for the 'Silver Crystal' and gathering Energy for the Dark Kingdom. Eventually he fails one too many times/leads to the death of one of his bosses, Queen Beryl-- favorite monsters, and gets told to defeat the Sailor Guardians/Scouts/Senshi or else. He fails, gets run over by a plane, as stated above.

In the Manga, he actually got burnt to a crisp by Sailor Mars fire, briefly revived by the power of the Silver Crystal, and then vaporized again, becoming a piece of Jade. He remembers during this that he actually used to be Tuxedo Mask's past self's (Prince Endymion) protector/advisor but got manipulated/brainwashed by Queen Beryl's past self into attacking the Moon Kingdom, only to watch his beloved Prince die. When he was reborn in the future, he got brainwashed again.

This Jadeite would definitely be based on the classic anime, but taking the backstory from the Manga to give some more depth.

The basic idea is this:

If I play Jadeite, I am committing to the bit. He's gonna be an arrogant prick. He's going to legit do plots to drain people's energy, if only this time to;

1. vain attempt to keep himself from turning to stone
2. Find a way back to the Dark Kingdom
3. Take over the world??

I'd prefer his plots to work long enough for some people to get affected (and thus have excuses for people to touch to recover their energy!) and for him to be able to not be recognized thanks to his illusions/disguises.

But, he's also going to be actively running away from Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask, because What the fuck they're powerful now?! Expecting them fully to kill him, when they'd probably want to heal him/return his memories because you know. He's a victim/their friend. Technically.

And also I expect any other magical girls/Heroes/virtuous types to also beat his ass/chase him off plenty of times.

Basically he's gonna lose. Badly, and it's gonna be hilarious.

I'd also love if he, while disguised as a 'regular human', was able to actually... learn to start caring about people and start to question the Dark Kingdom/his actions before any sort of magical healing happens. Bring his frozen heart back to liiife.

I'm extremely biased considering who else I play but... Yes this sounds so interesting and fun to me! LMAO running away from Usagi, when she really just wants to heal/befriend/positive things especially after learning in Stars about why everyone came after her and her crystal... ("Everyone is a lonely star at first." etc)

But hey, I also play cinnamon rolls like Madoka, who would be a perfect victim for his energy draining ideas anytime and Anna, who... would probably be a victim at least once and then want to punch him like she punches some prince from the Southern Isles. And up for whatever with my others and him too...

ABOUT: The most sheltered princess who didn't even know she was a princess for the first eighteen years of her life. The girl in the tower with the hair, that glows and heals when she sings. Kidnapped as a baby for her hair and it's powers in healing/keeping Mother Gothel young and beautiful and alive. She is usually always accompanied by her chameleon friend, Pascal. Rapunzel longs to leave the tower to see the floating lights, the lanterns her parents and kingdom raise into the sky every year on her birthday. So when her 'Mother' refuses to let her go, she enlists the help of a thief, Flynn Rider, aka Eugene Fitzherbert to guide her.

The series continues where the film left off, filling the gap in between when she arrives back at the castle and reunites with her biological parents and covers her adventures in between then and her engagement to Eugene, so takes place over three years or so.

CANON: The Little Mermaid



ABOUT: Ariel is the youngest of Triton's daughters, living her life under the sea spending her time collecting human items she scavenges from shipwrecks, daydreaming about what it would be like to live up there with them, trying to learn more about humans and their strange items. She knows she shouldn't be going to the surface but she does anyway, her curiosity overriding her sense of obedience to her father or her safety. She ends up trading her voice for legs to the seawitch, Ursula in exchange for the chance to experience that life up in the sunshine.

She is thus kinda literally a fish out of water in that she would be the most curious and oblivious over the most basic things (Scuttle telling her a fork is a dinglehopper used to brush your hair for example......). So her whole thing is about embracing others and their cultures and knowledge, bringing people together in spite of those like her father who were against the idea.


CHARACTER NAME(S): Kyo Sohma
CANON: Fruits Basket



ABOUT: Kyo is the Cat of the Zodiac. Basically, the Zodiac nobody wanted to be in inheriting that aspect of the Sohma family curse. He will transform into a cat when embraced by a girl, essentially. And there is more to being the Cat specifically that makes it worse as well. He's basically the Jerk with a Heart of Gold trope. Grumpy, but will have his soft side and he does mellow out more as the series goes on. Especially around Tohru in particular. He is my option that def wouldn't be thrilled on the whole intimacy thing of this place. His arc is more or less mellowing out over time and learning to love and allow himself to feel loved, to break free of his guilt and the expectations his family has for him (ie that they expect he would end up being locked away because he is the Cat).

CHARACTER NAME(S): Sorey
CANON: Tales of Zestiria



ABOUT: A selfless, sheltered and naïve teenager with a particular ability with his resonance (ability to see and hear seraphim and other supernatural beings, like a spiritual sense) that he takes on the role of the Shepherd. Basically, this means he goes around helping to purify those tainted with Malevolence (like a bad/negative sort of vibe/energy). He will always be willing to help and do what he can for others, even at his own expense. Sorey does sometimes need to be reminded he is only human, that he has limits and shouldn't be so reckless. Or so trusting of everyone. That's what Mikleo, his bff water seraph is there for, in keeping an eye on him and keeping Sorey in check. He adores ruins and exploring them, figuring the history of when they were built and what the building initially was and such. Also loves goblin carts.

CHARACTER NAME(S): Estellise Sidos Heurassein
CANON: Tales of Vesperia



ABOUT: The pink princess. The Child of the Full Moon. Estelle is the princess of her kingdom and as such has been rather sheltered and mostly learned about the world through her books. Up until she meets Yuri, that is. She loves reading and writing, is rather flighty and curious in often being indecisive or derailing the initial plans the group might have in wanting to do her own thing. Her journey is around learning that this is okay, that she can make decisions herself and that she is important just as she is (she can be also along with that flighty behaviour, be rather self-sacrificing).

ANYTHING ELSE?: Actually for....all of these I basically would have apps from prior games ready to just edit for Seasons. Raps I haven't played in a bit but I've played her off and on for years. Estelle is the main one I would need to refresh on I think?? If I were to go with her and not someone else. I'm just waffling on options. My muselist as a whole is over here though. I'm admittedly probably not up for apping until late this month or early next (I have a trip coming up overseas) but figured to put this out there and see who people might be keen for?? If I go ahead with an app?

I'm going to say that I'm extremely biased towards Rapunzel, given that Mafuyu over here has a lot of themes that are really similar to Rapupnzel's (something something "mother knows best" etc) in spite of her being heavily associated with Snow White in game (as there's a lot of apple allegories) and I'd love to have cross-canon CR as Mafuyu is also someone who does music--she's a lyricist/singer but has also done music composition.

ABOUT: For those familiar with AoT's canon, I would 100% plan to app her from post S3... so, not quite during how chaotic S4/War for Paradis arc is.

Historia is introduced as someone who seems outwardly incredibly selfless and a bit more on the weaker side compared to her canonmates, but she's someone who's far stronger and quick witted than she seems to be. With how tragic her past actually is, she deeply empathizes with anyone who feels like they don't belong and won't hesitate to jump head first into a situation where she can help. She cares deeply for those around her and ends up adapting into being a leader when the situation calls for it in canon.

In terms of personality she's a bit of a train wreck, and while is very happy, cheerful and willing to talk to people she can also be a bit of a bully. She's easily lured by praise though, as a goddess she loves to be worshipped and praised.

She uses alchemy to help people on the island, in the hope that they'll stop being so suspicious of it and come to love it as much as she does. She can't stand people being mean to others and is just a very good bean.

ABOUT: takumi is the second prince and the third royal of hoshido, a prosperous kingdom with a lot of japanese influences. he's a skilled archer, wielding the fujin yumi (the bow in the gif). personality-wise he's a tsundere moody, driven by a desire to be recognized. he harbors a lot of negativity and self-doubt, but tries to keep his head held high with varying degrees of success.

i'm super torn what canon point i'd want for him, though... either post-birthright, post-revelation, or pre route split? conquest is off the table for uh. for Reasons. no matter what i choose i'd have to do some review, though, lmao

... okay no he's actually a secret agent for the political party that wants birds and humans to co-exist peacefully. (the other party wants to eradicate humanity. hatoful boyfriend's lore is wild actually.) but he puts up a cool and reliable front, to keep others at bay - both away from the dangers lurking just beneath the surface, and his own messy past that's lead him to this point today.

i'd be pulling backstory knowledge from holiday star, but playing him from bad boys love/hurtful boyfriend from right before the epilogue!

ABOUT: The absolute stupidest shounen protagonist around (believe me, I consume a lot of shounen). Completely food motivated, prone to fighting, gonna be the pirate king. His piracy is a little confusing to others bc he is absolutely not interested in plunder and bullying others. He loves ADVENTURE and his NAKAMA (crew/comrades) and MEAT (this is not a metaphor). He's entirely clueless about most things and has the attention span of a flea but he is a lot of fun too, I promise.

He's a CRAU from noctium, simply because then he ssssssort of understands the other worlds thing (but he's Luffy so, you know, not entirely). He had water powers there that allowed him to breathe underwater BUT his weakness is water nerfs him so it was a wash! He could breathe but couldn't really move. Typical one piece level shenanigans honestly. He won't have his Noctium gem here though.

I did post him on the last TDM but didn't get many threads so I'm on the fence about just tossing him in or trying him out again idk

Lemmy would 10000% a dream to have, because it's pretty much canon that he's Iggy's favorite brother, but I'd never say no to ANYONE period. It'd also be really fun to have more good guys around too, because Iggy is definitely going to make an attempt at a 'hostile' take over at some point in the distant future once he has actual plans to go off of. The TL;DR is I just want everyone and anyone, give my stupid spectacled maniac someone to laugh more at.

ABOUT: Echidna is the Witch of Greed who is willing to throw away basically everything for her own personal gain. She's basically obsessed with learning new things, especially if it allows her to not get bored in the process. There may have been a time when she wasn't like this, but she sure as hell doesn't remember it. She's extremely a Netural Person but acts evil a lot of the time, because that's what you expect of a Witch, right?

I think she'd be interesting in this setting because of how the calamity went down and she'd want to know more about that. She'd also be genuinely curious about other people, the worlds they're from, etc as "that too, is greed".

But also, Echidna... doesn't understand love. Apparently, Tappei-sensei confirmed that it has something to do with her parents/upbringing that she Does Not Get It, too.

And one of Echidna's abilities is to sap mana by making out with them. I wish I was joking. In any case, Echidna is awful, I'm so sorry. The only slight con I have, potentially, is 1) I have no idea what Season she'd be in and 2) if Tappei-sensei throws a fuckin curveball about her because she is still very much ~a mystery~ although I'm guessing that a lot of her stuff is very much inspired by Umineko witches, which. I am, in fact, canon familiar with.

ANYTHING ELSE?: So, apparently one of the last events that Re:zero Lost In Memory is having before the app is closing for good is a magical girl event, so I'm sharing what Echidna's cut in animation looks like. I hate how cute she looks, I'm crying......

ABOUT: Akane is a young actress who works with a theater troupe and is known for portraying characters perfectly. She used to be shy, but after having dealt with a huge controversy in a reality show, she's grown more confident.

Given that there's quite a bit of theater kids here, having someone who is extremely talented on that front might be fun! She also, Oshi no Ko manga spoilers, just recently broke it off with her boyfriend. If I were to bring her, it'd probably be from a manga canon point, but I will be warning for spoilers with her since a lot of her stuff won't be happening For A While in the anime, wheezes.

ABOUT: Main male protagonist in a long series of games that take forever to beat. If I do bring him, I'd probably bring him from really early CS3. He's one of the less Unlikely Ones for me to bring although I have been thinking about it because he'd be allowed to bring in his sentient talking robot, Valimar and I think it's funny that Valimar would be itty bitty at first.

Anyway, Rean has a whole thing about how he wants to help others, doesn't really have confidence in himself and his abilities. He's a sword user first, a magic user second (he kinda sucks in the latter department, but he Can Do Magic Using Items) and even has a canon BERSERK button that he can't exactly control, so that's neat!

CANON: To the Moon. People have kind of accepted that as the name of the overall series I think but this includes the two sequels, Finding Paradise & Impostor Factory as well as the comic The Bestest Dancers.

ABOUT:
"Dr. Eva Rosalene and Dr. Neil Watts have peculiar jobs: they grant wishes."

In the distant future technology is developed that allows not just the viewing of another person's memories but the fabrication of artificial memories as well. Unfortunately using this technology on healthy individuals leads to catastrophic consequences so the technology has been relegated to help the terminally ill and dying to find peace before their death through the granting of "wishes".

Dr. Eva Rosalene works for one such company that grants these wishes, the Sigmund Corporation, as a memory traversal agent. It's her job to go through a person's memories alongside her partner Dr. Neil Watts to find the links between memories in order to reach a crucially important memory that they can alter in order to grant whatever wish their client has.

Eva herself is a very down to earth sort of person who is often labeled as the more friendly of the pair between her and her partner Dr. Neil Watts. Eva can be highly logical however, treating things with a great deal of practicality before she treats them with emotions. She's not as emotional as Neil might be but she can be very soft-hearted at times.

ABOUT: So Cassia has been suffering from amnesia ever since the night she woke up on the corner of Penrose Street, soaking wet in an elaborate gown. When she began having dreams of a hunky vampire guy she started called 'Grey' that quickly turned steamy she assumed it was mostly an outlet for her sexual frustrations.

Turns out Cassia was entirely wrong. She's anything but a normal human and 'Grey' is anything but a figment of her imagination. Now she's reeling as she accepts everything she thought was a dream is real and there's a whole hell of a lot about herself, the world she apparently belongs to and the people in it who say they know her that she doesn't know herself.

Cassia herself is wise cracking, sarcastic at times and entirely stubborn in others. She flirts heavily with 'Grey' in the beginning but once she realizes he isn't just a dream she desperately wants the floor to swallow her up. At the moment she remembers more about Earth than she does her real home realm.

Korea has become a vampiric war zone in Hayan's world. Ten years ago vampires revealed themselves to the world and a rash of humans being attacked and turned into vampires began. And for ten years Hayan has lived as a human with few memories of her early life, just wanting to make friends and live peacefully.

Hayan is one of the few pureblood vampires left in the world and is seeking revenge on Yohan Seo, her former adopted older brother who killed her parents and now seeks Hayan out so he can eat her heart as well.

Beyond this bloody path of revenge Hayan is an extremely thoughtful person who views being a pureblood with a sense of "noblesse oblige" -- it is a vampire's duty to use their powers and strength to help others and not interfere with the lives of the humans around them if they can help it. All Hayan truly wants is to make friends and to make memories with those friends.

CHARACTER NAME(S): Rezo Greywords (Which is sometimes anglicized as other things, so I may toss him in under the name of Greywars to be consistent with conglomeration?)
CANON: Slayers anime but also with CRAU baggage from Voidtreckers.

ABOUT: Rezo is a man of somewhat contradictory traits. Outwardly, he’s a calm, benevolent white mage with a paternalistic air. He’s known as the Red Priest, travels the world healing people, and is considered one of the Five Great Sages of this age. However he’s also blind due to a mysterious congenital condition that makes his eyes unable to open, and he’s gone to great, unethical lengths to try and cure himself, and nearly destroyed the world in the process. In his defense, his bullshit is strongly canonically suggested to be as a result of the influence of a piece of a demon king- Shabranigdu- that was sealed in his soul, although how strong this influence was is ambiguous/unknown.

CRAU-wise, after dying for a second time in canon, he got abducted by a sentient train with a malfunctioning AI that traveled between worlds and along with the other “void treckers” Rezo went around helping worlds and trying to untangle the game’s plot. He’s still blind but the train didn’t bring along the piece of Shabranigdu with him, which Rezo was never able to 100% confirm but he has become pretty damn sure he’s demon free now, so yay! He made a few friends, learned a bunch of stuff about modern medicine, got some closure with an alternate version of his grandson, and began a romantic relationship with an elven woman named Lioriley. In the end the two of them chose to stay together in voidspace and went on to live together on a voidspace station, probably doing nerdy shit together.

In contrast to his “well, this might as well be happening” attitude he had at the beginning of his time at VT (and in another game I tossed OU Rezo into), if he winds up in Seasons Rezo is not going to be very pleased about being away from Lior and the new life he has been trying to build. Finding out that time isn’t passing outside of Ellipsa will mollify him slightly but he’ll be very focused on getting shit done and finding a way back home. He’s actually generally a pretty helpful person, but he does have a very Ends Justify The Means approach even when not Satan-possessed.

CHARACTER NAME(S): Copy Rezo. Kind of, he doesn’t really have a name.
CANON: Slayers, OU.

ABOUT: So you see the guy above? Remember I mentioned how Rezo did a bunch of unethical shit to try and cure his blindness? One of those unethical things he did was co-create a magical clone of himself- referred to as a copy- to use as a lab rat to try out blindness cures on. Said copy subsequently developed a lot of issues about being a clone, probably in no small part due to the trauma of being a lab rat and also the fact that his other creator (Rezo’s lab assistant, Eris) was very in love with the original Rezo and forced the copy to act out the part of Rezo after the original Rezo left.

The copy figured the best way to deal with these issues was to KILL REZO but then Rezo died under unrelated circumstances so he switched his goal to KILL THE PERSON WHO KILLED REZO/SURVIVE THE SPELL THAT KILLED REZO, in a bid to somehow surpass his progenitor. He failed, albeit not before blowing up a city, killing Eris, and nearly killing the main character of the anime. Upshot, sort of, is that as he lay dying, he did finally figure out that maybe he should have focused less on all of that and more on Actually Living His Own Life.

So! In Ellipsa he’ll probably be pissed about being brought in as a ~tool~ and also at having to touch people, but he might be a lil’ better at coming up with solutions to his problems that don’t involve beating other people to death. And this would probably be a pretty good opportunity for him to experience some new things, become more of his own person, and maybe get a reall name that doesn’t just amount to Fake Rezo.

CANON: Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean

ABOUT: Jolyne is a rootin'-tootin' type of gal who is determined to do what is right no matter what. She ends up in prison, framed for murder by outside forces as well as her now ex-boyfriend. Sure her rebellious past didn't help matters, but since she was in the process of getting her life together it really hit hard. Grappling with a new ability while being attacked on the regular she manages to make a few friends and is determined to do what she feels needs to be done, but also maybe have a little fun along the way. Jolyne has an interest in analyzing people and what their motives are, because of this she tries to discern whether someone is attacking her for a good reason or not. She also deals with conflicting feelings of her absent father, both because she shares a deep connection with him but he also isn't around for the most life-altering moments she'd experienced.

Overall she's a curious girl who is not afraid of asking the most bizarre or inappropriate questions at any time. She's a ride or die type of person who openly has a deep love for everyone she considers a friend. Jolyne loves to enjoy herself when she can, but is ready to throw down at the drop of a hat if anyone crosses her.
