Cinder is an app that is meant to find platonical handholding partners and maybe budding friendships (or maybe even relatioships). Here is a code you can use for making your character their own mock up Cinder profile. Keep things PG in this post.

We can recharge each other after sparring or questing. Trying new food is on the table too.

[Usually Hijikata doen't bother to actively network with people - if it happens it happens! -, but Eren has been easy to get along with so far, and having a new fellow combatant around is nice, so he'll gladly keep him from petrifying.]

Works for me. I wonder if physical contact during sparring counts too.

I'd say so, but it's probably only really effective in hand-to-hand combat. That isn't my specialty.

[Eren using his family name as his username briefly catches his eye... that's what he used to do before he learned to not give away his name so easily on Avalon (and yet he simply put it in his Cinder profile, defeating the purpose). Luckily there seem to be no fae here, but you never know! He'll probably tell him about that when he next runs into him.]

If I'm fighting as a human, I'd say it's probably mine. I know how to use a gun and I know how to use a sword a little.

[ Eren has never even heard of fae so he's in for a whole world of learning on that one! ]

I specialise in swordfighting, so we cover quite some ground between us. If you want we can meet for a spar in the collosseum sometime soon.

[Naturally he'll go easy on Eren. He's taught countless new recruits in the Shinsengumi how to become proficient swordsmen, so between that and Eren's firearm knowledge they can trade some valuable skills.]

Mukuro would probably be the best person to go to if you want to try new firearms. She's got experience with many kinds.

I should try to get better with a sword. It seems useful for fighting people.

[ Why is that his go to? Well, he can't help it. If he fights monsters, it's often easier to fight as a monster, so that's how his head works. He's terrible, it's not news. ]

I met Mukuro. I'm not some kind of expert or anything. We only learned about guns a couple years ago, but I'm ok with them.

[ He's not the best at anything except being a stubborn, headstrong pain in the ass. But he's not bad at things he really tries to do, either. The world outside had different weapons, and they had to adapt. That's why they learned to use guns. ]

I wonder if they work on the creatures here, though.

[ At least this time he's not thinking about killing other people. ]

[Hijikata doesn't even notice the implied distinction - of course swords are useful for fighting people, that's the primary reason he uses one! -, but even if he had, he'd have understood Eren completely. Why fight monsters with a sword when you can turn into a titan? He'd do just the same if he were a titan shifter.]

I don't think most creatures here should be impervious to guns. A few, perhaps, if they have a really strong armour or special protective abilities.

[Like werewolves... he wonders if he should tell Eren at some point that he's a weredog, but the transformation - just an extra pair of ears, a tail, finer senses, and some annoying instincts - is such a far cry from even just a full werewolf curse, let alone what Eren goes through, it probably doesn't qualify as common ground.]
