Arrival

Part 1

You arrive in an unknown space, dressed in white clothes (player choice what kind of clothes, as long as they cover everything). Whatever was happening to you before no longer happens. It's like everything was put on a pause and you were transferred away from the situation without you realizing it happened.

The space that you find yourself in is one of these four options:

An empty landscape filled with snow and ice, almost like a blank canvas.
A field with cherry blossom trees and spring flowers.
A sunny beach near an ocean that seems never ending.
A quiet forest with falling autumn leaves.

All of the spaces seem to continue endlessly. No matter where or how far you walk it almost seems like you're not moving at all. There are no animals here - just those who happened to wake up there at the same time, in the same place. Everyone is wearing the same kind of plain, white clothes.

Despite the possible rollercoaster of emotions you might be feeling, the place somehow feels familiar. Like somehow you belong there.

And it looks like you're not alone.


Part 2

After half an hour has passed the surroundings change as everyone is teleported into a room with all the other new arrivals, no matter what space they woke up in. It's a large place with plenty of seats to sit in and beverages to enjoy. Medical attention is offered to those who need it and the doctors here are very prepared for any challenging situations.

Here, in this room, everyone gets an answer to where they are and why. A hologram of a man appears at the center of the room, waiting to be heard. He brings a message on behalf of the leaders of Ellipsa.

Hello, my name is Olwen. I'm one of the leaders of Ellipsa as it currently is. I'm also one of the four who summoned you here.

Our world is in trouble and we need your help. I apologize for tearing you away from your world and forcing you to come here but I hope you understand. The magic we used doesn't let us ask in advance, nor does it let us choose who we bring here.

This world is composed of four Seasonal Segments. All of them represent one of the seasons. They were the places we used to get our resources from, but now they're dangerous places no one should go into unless they have the power to fight back. All of them have their own sets of powerful monsters and natural catastrophes.

We used to have plenty of people here who could control the powers of the four Seasons. We called them Seasonal Power Holders. Unfortunately, due to a tragedy you can read about later, we lost almost all of them. Now only four of us remain and the world is in chaos. We have done our best to protect the world, but we need more power holders to do that.

That's where you come in.

All of you have been assigned to one of the seasons. Whatever space you were in just now is what season you represent. You will learn different skills based on the season and those skills are going to help you save this world.

These powers don't interfere with your own natural powers. They use a new energy that has formed inside of you. It's harmless to your health, but it's vital to your seasonal powers. Your own powers should still work, even if the dark energy outside the city might interfere with them.

Unfortunately bringing you here wasn't as simple as it sounds. We couldn't do anything about how to keep you anchored to this world other than making a simple spell that helps with it. That is, you need to touch someone else who is not from this world ideally at least once a day. It will help you stay in control of your powers and boost your magical energy. If you don't, the consequences aren't very good. But as long as you hold someone's hand or give someone a handshake, you should be fine.

That's all I have to say about the situation. The staff of the Research Center will give you more information about housing and other necessary things. I will, however, promise that you will be sent home once the situation becomes better. That's the least we can do.

The hologram can be viewed in private in a separate room later, should someone wish to look at it again. For now, the staff of the Research Center hands everyone their new smartphones with their small flower lucky charms (the flower is anything the player decides). They're also told that the building next door is where everyone can find a room assigned to them with some of their belongings there and possibly even any animal companions. Those concerned about their mount-sizes companions are welcomed to the stables downstairs to see if their friends are there. The mounts are allowed to stay there until you find a place more suitable for them.

In the Arrival's hall there are also several stands with information pamphlets.

First type of stand is for the local Guilds and about the benefits or joining one.

Second type of stands is for the Welcoming Committee that aim to show otherworlders what the world is like and help guide people in the beginning of the journey and helps in getting settled into the new world. They even have people to help if you're unfamiliar with the new phones.

Third type of the stands is for The In Touch Support Group that is led by the Otherwordly Ambassador, Kamisato Ayato. The pamphlets have contact information for businesses looking to help Otherworlders. They also focus more on the lore of the World and what they have discovered so far, as well as a guide on what to think about when preparing to venture out to the Segments.

Once you get your smartphone and necessary information, you're urged to go out and find your apartment. After that whatever you want to do is up to you.

Part 3

The building next door is where everyone can find their new apartments. As you enter, you're told by a friendly native that for the first two months you can live anywhere rent-free and five meals a day are paid for you. After that they get a monthly payment that helps with some of their living expenses, but otherwise they have to have a job to support themselves.

All of the apartments are comfortable, two bedroom apartments with all necessary utilities. They are also completely soundproof. Sometimes the magic system, however, does glitch and you might find yourself rooming with a stranger. This is not the intention and the staff will immediately prepare you your own room if you ask them. But maybe having a roommate isn't all that bad?

Party in the Underground

Part 1

The center of Nightwake never sleeps and there's always something happening, but today there's a lot of excitement in the air all around the center and every district! Locals and those who want to help them (for 100 Moon Coins or a gift card of their choosing), are walking to everyone to offer colorful fliers along with free vending machine tokens. There's also colorful advertisement on billboards and posters everywhere around the city advertising all sorts of things like items, clothes, drinks and more.

Local businesses, stores and restaurants are also going pretty crazy with their celebrations of anyone walking in being their 50th, 100th or whatever customer of the day and the prize among other things are gift cards and more free vending machine tokens but they aren't even for that same shop or restaurant? They also offer people to spin all kinds of different prize wheels, spin roulettes, buying a certain amount of things from them, and taking part in eating and drinking competitions for a surprise prize. Someone even put these surprise prizes into the Gacha Restaurant's randomizer, so for a week, you can choose it as a total surprise there too. (The surprises can be even more vending machine tokens and silly things like cute keychains or a 5-in-1 avocado tool as some examples.)

You can't find any of these shops, restaurants and other places, that they are advertising, in the whole city. The locals, posters and billboards will tell you where you can find them. There's a new entrance in every district, where locals welcome everyone to the grand opening of the Underground Mall!

Some may even drop into a sudden hole in the ground on their way and fall (or slide) somewhere far away. Don't worry, there will be very soft and huge pillows for landing in your destination.


Part 2

The Underground Mall's upper floors give the vibe of a joyous mall with several restaurants and shops you won't see on the surface. The mall is definitely a must visit place for those who appreciate different fashion and exciting food choices. The party from the surface continues down here with various sales around the area. A good day for shopping!

For those who like games, there's a futuristic VR Arcade for you! This Arcade focuses on games that are played with VR goggles on. Even your regular DDR machine will now take you to dance in different environments and feel like you're dancing for your life or for an actual audience.

There are all sorts of vending machines lined up in their own, huge corner. You can find the usual ones with all sorts of different snacks, food and drinks, but there are also some with cake, cookies, mayonnaise, cream, flowers, engagement rings and other less usual but normal things. Nothing here is randomized, unless you choose the random option from the machine, otherwise you get exactly what you want. So pick your favorites or try something new, that sounds more or less good! You can find a machine that turns moon coins on your phone into vending machine tokens (or you can pay straight with your phone).

And, yes, you can find vending machines full of snacks and drinks all around the area too.

Then there's also an area for ufo catchers with all kinds of prizes like pokemon plushies and lots of other plushies, items themed to different season, plushies and other items themed to any fauna and flora from all around Ellipsa, puzzles, food themed items etc etc.

Moving inside the mall is done by escalators and elevators, but there are also regular stairs for those who prefer them.

The fastest way of traveling from floor to floor in the mall is by quick teleport nodes. You choose a floor you want to go to from the list of choices, much like an elevator and then you're transported into that floor's node within seconds. Unfortunately, they're still working out on the bugs in the system, so you may end up in the wrong place - including places that aren't on the list of choices.

Part 3

There's also a Poké Ball Vending Machine, so anyone who recognizes poké balls may have some idea what they could get here. The vending machine somehow has enough balls for everyone in Ellipsa but everyone can only buy one ball! The balls don't have names in them and no one can see through them, so even those, who know Pokémon will NOT know what they'll be getting from this vending machine as it is entirely randomized!

Are you ready to get your first Pokémon? What about being ready to see how you two get along? Everyone, who plays this vending machine, gets either a Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Pikachu, Eevee, Chikorita, Cyndaquil, Totodile, Treecko, Torchic, Mudkip, Turtwig, Chimchar, Piplup, Snivy, Tepig, Oshawott, Chespin, Fennekin, Froakie, Rowlet, Litten, Poplio, Grookey, Scorbunny, Sobble, Spirigatito, Fuecoco or Quaxly.

(And yes, ICly it is entirely randomized but OOCly you can decide which one you want your character to get... Of course you can rng the result too. More about Pokémon guidelines in the OOC Tips of this TDM.)

The third part of the TDM is under this details cut as it has Content Warnings, including Cursed things, Organized Crime, Illegal Activities, Monster Forms/Body Horror, Attempted Murder, Experimenting on People

The Third Part of the TDM [ Click to Expand ]

Part 1

The lowest levels of the mall are only accessible by random quick teleport nodes around the mall (if you know you know is the motto with these). You can run into them on accident (they're usually hidden, but with so much traffic, the hiding place becomes visible) and they sometimes immediately just teleport people without any warning. The arrival can be in various places. A random shady hallway, in the middle of the floor, in a shady establishment and so on.

Anything that seems shady can be found from these floors. Even the local diners here are very weird and likely have illegal things on the menu. Clothing stores sell all kinds of clothes fit for thieves and assassins and the amount of weapons shops here is twice the amount than on the surface. Rumor has it there are also people trying to summon the devil somewhere around here, but that's still just a rumor.

One of the teleport node locations can take you to the front of a cursed vending machine corner. At first they look like ordinary vending machines, but upon closer inspection one may notice they are anything but ordinary.

The food vending machines are full of different "eatable" bugs with half-hearted warnings that they may or may not be poisonous (they didn't really check before putting them in the packaging), Mystery Food boxes (includes some very suspicious foods that don't look edible, but are actually alright in taste? But may contain some side effects like growing mushrooms out of your hair if you eat the mushroom ones), ones that is labeled Energy Drinks but all of them look more like creepy potions (they provide energy but at the cost of poisoning someone for 24 hours) and hyper realistic cakes that look like various body parts (the cake part is intentionally written in small print).

Other vending machines have various shark eggs (hatching them will provide a magical shark with little hands and legs that invades the first watery surface it finds and bites whoever comes too close - it does not belong as a pet, but one may try to tame one), Mystery Boxes (with anything from highly cursed jewelry to books that suck your soul if written into) and Cheat Slips (it's said these slips will let you master a skill immediately, but all it does is cause one's powers to go berserk for 2 hours).

Part 2

The lowest levels are also a place for a large Casino. While they do exist on the surface, this one is a little different.

The Casino (named just that, "The Casino") is divided into four different sections; All of them are dominated by an organized crime group. This is the only area of the underground they work together in peace and sometimes come to relax. They don't cause trouble for each other here, but they definitely can try to cause trouble for everyone who is visiting the place.

Losing in this Casino can mean being taken to the back rooms by whichever group's area you ended up losing in. They will offer to let you go if you can pay off your debt you made in the Casino, but they have other options of compensation.

Name: Diamonds
Game Area: Card Games (Poker, Black Jack, Craps)
Compensation: They will send characters on a criminal quest to either steal or sabotage something or even smuggle a (cursed) item into important places.

Name: Spades
Game Area: Roulette
Compensation: They will attempt to kill the character that lost in the quietness of the backrooms.

Name: Clubs
Game Area: Pool, Darts
Compensation: They will just make characters clean their casino area.

Name: Hearts
Game Area: Slot Games
Compensation: They will drag characters into experiments in a different facility.

You may also end up taken to the back rooms for getting caught cheating, although it may also end up in a congratulatory meeting for an impressive sleight of hand instead or an invitation to join one of the groups. How would you feel about a life of crime?

Part 3

Those caught in Hearts Group's Experiments will be subjected to series of tests. Mostly they're to check the characters' physical condition before proceeding. Once the tests are concluded, the character will be given a medicine (either via shot or a pill). This medicine will not show any signs of working for a while and characters are let go afterwards.

The same medicine can, however, later be consumed by anyone else in various foods and drinks (free samples, some restaurants, even some grocery store items), even in the higher levels of the Mall. The experiments were the final test before distributing the medicine secretly to the public. So your character may accidentally end up getting the medicine in other ways.

What are the medicine? Monster Form activators. They will awaken a monster form inside a character that will trigger under one of the (player) selected conditions: strong emotional reaction, full moon, near death situation or bleeding.

The form can be returned from by calming down and focusing on their sense of self, but there's a chance to go berserk, making this difficult. If characters go berserk, their powers will be a lot stronger, but they won't know who's a friend and who's a foe. Their form may also be a lot scarier than it normally is. They will likely only want to cause destruction around them or want to feed on humans.

Alraune	Plant monsters with a humanoid shape. They may have changes as simple as flowers growing in their hair or have complex body modifications such as roots for legs and long vines as hands.	Pollen with status effects like sleep/poison/paralysis, control over plants, poisonous kisses, etc
Gargoyle	Monstrous humanoid winged creatures with horns on their head and stony hides.	Super strength, tough skin, flight
Harpy	Human-bird hybrids. Anything part can be replaced with bird bodyparts, although the most common configuration is arms turned to wings and legs into talons.	Flight, sonic scream, hypnotizing voice, ability to whip up whirlwinds
Kelpie	Aquatic horses with a man made of seaweed and algae, covered in a sticky fur that makes it nearly impossible to get off if one is to ride them. Some may get a fish tail when underwater, although when out of water they have legs like any horse.	Water breathing, illusions
Lich	Undead humanoids, they may look skeletal or simply corpselike.	Raising the dead (into zombies/skeletons), necrotic touch
Manticore	Beastlike creatures with the head of a human, the body of a lion, and the tail of a scorpion or dragon. They vary greatly, some sporting horns on their heads, or resembling a Chimera or Sphinx.	Super strength, flight if wings.
Minotaur	Animalistic monsters with the head of a bull and the body of a human, although some variations exist in which there are different animal heads. Some sport hooves and a tail in place of legs.	Super strength, overall size, super defense.
Taur	This refers to any number of creatures with a humanoid upper body and a lower body that resembles a non-anthropomorphic animal in the same sort of style as a centaur. This category includes things like Arachne and Naga, and other variations of such monsters.	Varies depending on animal the taur is based on
Werecreatures	Monstrous, bipedal animals, the transformation of which is often (but not always) triggered by the full moon. Common variants are wolves and bears, although they can be about any animal. The Pooka would be one of the variations in the werecreature category. This effect can either be permanent or temporary, depending on how the players want it. Temporary can be up to just one transformation under the conditions or several.

- Test Drive is open for current characters to make a top level as well. New characters can add TDM (or "New" or anything else) on their subject line to indicate they're new!

- Current characters cannot access the starting area again to meet new arrivals. They can, however, be at the Research Center when the newbies are teleported in.

- Pokémon Guidelines:
• Anything mindblowing crazy that the pokedex has to offer for any of the evolutions doesn't carry over to Seasons. They're closer to anime variants where people can get flamethrower at their face and live (we still do not recommend getting a flamethrower at face)
• Pokémon gain experience points much slower, even if they battle one another.
• You may be able to find a vending machine with weird stones mixed in for stone evolutions. Strange.
• All start at level 5.
• More Pokémon may appear later in the game but for now it's just the ones mentioned.
• More on all the available Pokémon here!

- Check Locations: City to find more areas to explore inside the city. Every place in the districts are open. The Underground Mall has been added to the locations page at the very end of it.

The Mall Pt 1: Mall Rats

[Somehow, the sheer possibility of being in another world did not rattle Felicia in the least. A jumpy but resourceful girl, she knew she would make Corrin, Gunter, Jakob, Kaze, and her sister Flora proud if she kept her wits together, kept her knives close, and did her absolute best. Another world wasn't that different from another kingdom, and she had adjusted well enough to traveling with the Hoshido royals. Corrin had told her to keep an open mind, so she had; Kaze had taught her that other means could function as well as the ones that she had, and he was right; Jakob always reminded her to never forget where she came from, and she didn't.

This would be fine.

But, she did wonder if a certain curse still held....?

She was fine through the arrival process and adapting to the local currency. Ultimately, it was the Mall that rocked her world.]

Oohhhh...

[She breathed, blue eyes wide at the brilliant lights, bold music, and impossibly glossy floors.]

It's-- its like a castle ...

[She bit her lip, reminding herself of all of her training while she all but bounced in her high heeled boots and flouncy skirt. The lights, the stores-- it was too much! ]

Ooooohhhhh we've got trouble !

[She squeaked before tearing off into the echoing corridors. What sort of teas and tea sets did they have? What cookware? What kind of boots???

She needed to know!!]

The Mall Pt 2: Deus Ex Vending Machine

[She couldn't help but poke and prod at the strange machines that distributed everything from plushies to pants to parsnips, and before long Felicia had a growing pile of absurdities that was becoming more unwieldy with every stop she made. Eventually, even she realized it was too much-- and she turned to the nearest passerby]

Um. Excuse me. What are we supposed to do with all this stuff the machines give us? Do we put it back so others can play???

[One problem when you're an arrogant teenager who thinks she knows better than anyone else: It becomes very easy to run into trouble with suspicious people in the underground of the casino. Especially when you try to thrown magic at them to get them to leave you be.

Another problem when you're an arrogant teenager who thinks she knows better than anyone else: When you're too stubborn, proud and paranoid to admit you need help when you suddenly find that whatever the hell they did, that your own heightened emotions were starting to trigger it off some days later-

And that left Eva's Sprigatito to flee the ominous red spiderweb growing in the hallways of the Magical Manor, with one of Eva's shoes in its mouth. It had to go find help! To that end, it would go running up and pawing at anyone it thought could handle the Arachne it had left behind.]

Arrival

[Snowy winters were not unheard of for Makoto, but being in some random forest shortly after apartment hunting with Haruka when it hadn't quite been full winter yet was definitely a shock. Especially when he wasn't in any winter clothes, just these plain white clothes.

Trying not to panic, Makoto cupped his mouth:]

Hello? Anyone there?

[He rubbed his arms shortly after, just where in the hell was he? Why did it seem familiar?]

Underground Mall

[Makoto was still getting used to things here in Nightwake and, indeed, being in a whole new world. It sounded like something straight out of an anime! He would be more excited if he wasn't by himself, though. So, to keep his mind occupied, he followed a bit of the hubbub around this new mall that opened up.

Not that he expected to literally slide right in while on the way. He and another soul seemed to have gotten caught together as he heard another cry to match his own when they dropped onto the slide. He let out a "oomph!" when the slide ended onto a gigantic mound of pillows. At least there were no injuries and it appears this wasn't exactly an uncommon occurrence judging by a few other shouts, cries, and hollers from other slide goers.

He got himself upright with a grunt and glanced over at his apparent sliding companion.]

You alright? That was certainly a little scary!

[He chuckled nonetheless, giving his usual gentle smiles.]

Pokemon

[Makoto picked up the the blue penguin that had come out of the pokeball. It chirped happily at him and he couldn't help but laugh at how cute it was.]

Well, you're not quite a type of penguin I've ever seen. But you're awfully adorable. You remind me of my friend Nagisa, too. How about I call you that, since he's not here right now?

[The piplup nodded with a happy chirp. Makoto laughed against and pet the little guy on his head. So cute!]

Arrival

[Oh, wow, this place was beautiful! Cherry blossoms and a field of flowers! Makoto was a little worried that she had suddenly been whisked away to somewhere strange, and without any of her fellow guardians, but the place also just felt so awfully familiar that the panic she normally would have felt simply wasn't there.

Or perhaps she had simply experienced so many fantastical things that this wasn't all that alarming. Either way, Makoto walked towards the field of flowers, kneeling down and feeling quite at home among the floral scents.]

Mmm... flowers are always so calming...

[Nonetheless, she would need to find her friends soon! Makoto hoped they were alright.]

Apartments

[A mouthwatering scent was wafting from an apartment with its door open. Makoto couldn't help but stress bake at a time like this! She wasn't exactly planning anything in particular, but once she had gotten settled and had enough extra cash on hand, it was time to cook! It helped keep her mind off things and already her counter top was full of delicious baked goods. Nothing huge or extravagant, but the sweet scent of cookies and cupcakes did wonders for her mood.

If you happened to poke your head in, Makoto would greet you with a wave.]

Hi there! Come on in and help yourself. I kind of overdid it, hehe.

[Makoto's hair was up in its usual ponytail with a bandana wrapped around her head, a couple flour smudges adorned her cheeks, but she was munching on one of the cookies and had a hot cup of coffee next to her.]

Pokemon

Bulba! Bulba bulbasaur!

[Makoto tilted her head down at the... dinosaur? With a flower bulb on its back? She didn't know what to make of the creature, but it seemed awfully adorable and having taken a liking to her. She shut the red and white orb she had pulled out of the vending machine and pocketed it for now, kneeling down to rest her hand on top of its head.]

I've never seen anything like your before. Are you saying your name? Bulbasaur? Should I just call you that or do you want another name?

[It nodded and she hummed in thought. What to call it?]

Well, are you a boy [it shook its head] or a girl? [It, no she nodded.] Got it, you're a girl. Hmm... I wish I knew what flower was on your back, it would help me decide! How about you give me a few days to come up with something, is that okay?

[The pokemon nodded, stepping forward to rub against her knee. Makoto laughed and pet her some more. So cute!]

[She held out her hand and a small burst of wind smacked into a barrel set up for target practice.]

Hey! It worked this time! Good, I thought I'd never be able to get this element down.

[She wished she had gotten something lightning or maybe even plant based, but she got wind. She wished Haruka was here for that reason, perhaps they could help Makoto since their element was the wind! But, for now, Makoto would have to learn it on her own. Bulbasaur cheered from the sidelines, her vines raised up and waving. Makoto chuckled and waved back.]

[Being transported into a strange new world wasn't on her to do list today. If anything, this was merely an inconvenience to her research as there were ruins she had to look at! There were more important things than to save this world that she knows nothing about!

Not only that, there was something even worse!]

The least they could have done was given me proper clothes in this weather!

[She was used to being in the dead of the heat! Seeing nothing but snow wasn't what she was used to!!]

2. Underground Mall

[If seeing snow was bad enough, now she was completely lost. Looking around the area, all she could see was strange new high tech things she had never seen before. She couldn't help but be in awe at everything around her. Between all these strange new clothes and strange new 'games', it was all too much for her.

And yet, as she looked at the food before her, she couldn't help but stare at it.]

Excuse me, would you be so kind to explain to me how am I supposed to get these 'chips' from this machine?

3. Ufo Catchers

[What an odd 'game' this was, she thought to herself. As she stared at someone playing it, she couldn't help but talk to herself about a few things.]

Is this what people find entertaining here? It seems rather simple but it has enough enjoyment for people to keep spending money on it. While people want to get the prize, is it really worth it when its claw is meant to be loose?

1. Arrival

[ Normally he is a patient man, half an hour of waiting around in a pleasant-filled field of flowers wouldn't be a hardship. Yet someone is missing from his side who should have been there. So he spent that half an hour searching the area for that individual, not really talking to anyone.

He only sits during the message to be polite and gain some information about where he is and how he ended up here. However, it's put to the back of his mind when someone shows him how to use the strange device to contact people.

Lan Wangji stares down at his phone with slightly furrowed brows. ]

I only wish to speak to one person. How do I find them?

2. Arrival Part 2

[ Before Lan Wangji does anything else, he heads over to where the mounts are kept. He strolls through the stable in search of one specific creature. It doesn't take long before he stops in front of a stall where a donkey is idly hanging out and turning his nose up at the offered dry hay.

Lan Wangji opens the door and enters, brushing a hand down the donkey's nose. ]

Where is he? [ Lil' Apple is not his mount, he has never ridden the creature, yet he has held the reins and placed the rider on its back. Chances are good that if he puts on the bridle, Lil' Apple will take him to Wei Wuxian's approximate area. ]

4. Party in the Underground

[ "To be where the chaos is" - and it seems it has led him here for the time being. That and his own feet as they wander and explore this new place filled with so many things Lan Wangji has never seen and doesn't understand. He finds himself with a token in hand and directions to the underground market - or as it was called the mall.

There are small red and white balls stuck in a box with no labels, the coin in his hand appears to be for this vending machine. ]

What is the purpose of these balls?

[ He looks at whoever may be closest to him, wondering if he should hold onto this coin and use it to barter or if it would be better to purchase the ball and trade that instead. ]

4. Welcome to Our Dark Side

[ Gambling is not Lan Wangji's style, yet he's found himself on this level after following a crowd of people to a teleport. It's clear that he's found the underbelly of this place and in his white robes, he certainly sticks out among the clothes of thieves and assassins. Even though he has a sword of his own, there's no glance spared at the weapon shop where he could purchase items to upkeep it.

The food establishments aren't any better and he catches someone eating what looks like an arm out of the corner of his eye. What he truly cares about are the odd creatures that are wandering about, running berserk.

It's purely a coincidence that he comes upon a lich causing trouble and harassing people. He pulls out his guqin and begins to play a Cleansing song in hopes of calming the undead being. ]

[So, new world needing help, got it. He's gotten the rundown and a place to stay...though not what he'd have chosen for himself of course. One of his monkeys also tagged along somehow, so now he just needs to figure out who else is here. More specifically, he wants to know if his student is. Anyone else is fine and all, but he can't help worrying for MK. And the best way to go about this is clearly to start at the apartment...by knocking on every door.]

[Not really sure what to make of the little ball he got from the vending machine. The pictures made him think that they were collectibles of some really cute critters so he grabbed. Now he's got this thing and it's neat how it shrinks and grows with a touch of the button, but trying to figure out just how to open it without breaking anything is the challenge. Soon enough he decides to just sit back and watch how someone else does it, spinning the ball on the tip of his tail as he waits.]

I. Arrival

(She is interestingly attired and doing her best to not panic. For the strangers watching her, Padmé appears calm and in control, sitting in the shade of a tree.)

How far am I from Varykino? Or Naboo? (This...isn't Naboo. She knows her home world too well to be tricked or confused on that.) I have somehow lost my way.

(Right when her honeymoon was due to begin.)

II. Apartments/Investigation

She ends the feed, hoping that she will be notified if any messages come through. Then she stands and picks up her skirt, moving towards the nearest building. How ironic that it turns out to be full of apartments! Padmé is very suspicious and she wishes she had some form of defense. All she has are her wits and they have always served her well...right?

After acquiring one of said apartments, she goes out again to look for suitable clothing. She can't stay in her wedding dress! When she sees someone on the street, she calls out to them:

"Excuse me? Could you direct me to the nearest clothing store?"

Moon Piercer, a fairly tall, athletically built elven man, stood not far from the doors outside the research center. From the way he stared, both awestruck and seemingly lost, one could assume he was a touch overwhelmed by the scenery before him. Even when initially addressed, he didn't seem to register the person speaking to him, and it was only with a slight delay did he turn toward them, blinking owlishly, like he was still a little dazed.

"Sorry. Did you say something?"

Easily coerced toward the mall, Moon Piercer soon found himself in front of the pokemon vending machine, and sooner still found himself holding a pokeball in his palm as if uncertain what the next step in the process was.

"How do I- I am not meant to throw it, am I?" Babe, please.

Moon Piercer said sternly as one of the gang members started insistently pulling someone away from the tables and machines, his own hand reaching to grasp the captive (you?) by the wrist to yank them back. "They have done nothing wrong." And he, apparently, wasn't going to take no for an answer insofar as this apparent punishment for cheating was concerned. He hadn't even seen them cheat (probably).

Feel free to be the one getting taken away or a bystander. He's making a scene.

Arrival Part 1: Winter
Going from the winter of Mobei-jun's discontent to the whatever winter hellscape this was... was only a little jarring actually, all things considered. Still scary! He didn't know how it happened and there had been no warning from the System so definitely scary! But also... not even remotely the weirdest thing that's happened to him.

However, after waiting a few moments for the System to say something - any time's a great time System-dada! - and getting nothing while he squinted at other figures nearby dressed in mourning for their own funeral... Shang Qinghua glanced down at himself and found that he, too, was also dressed for his own funeral. Not that the clothes weren't quality - they were! Very good! They looked like his best Peak Lord robes save that they were, well... all white. Bad luck! Such bad luck! White winter hellscape and white funeral clothes! Bad bad bad!

"AH! Did I die? I don't want to be dead! I have specifically trying to avoid that!" He whined mostly to himself, but also loud enough that someone nearby could easily hear. In fact, it may even be half-intentional, as his eyes sought out the figures near him to see if any reacted or remained immersed in their own private worlds the way ghosts sometimes did.

Arrival: Part 2
It was very pleasing to know he wasn't dead and this was just some transmigrator mix-up! Whatever System was running this place probably snagged him by mistake. But even if it was 'working correctly' for this world, there was no sense not to maintain a level head and act just as new to all this as the majority of those around him. Just in case. After all, if he got dragged over, then it was completely plausible some of his children may have gotten dragged in. Better to play the respectable Peak Lord of a cultivation sect that understood magic but was adaptable than to out himself as a millennial imposter playing at being a character in his own story for the sake of survival.

As such, he took to looking at the stands with pamplets. Picked a couple up, then turned to the person next to him, bowed just enough to be polite, and asked with the biggest, curious, and somewhat confused eyes, "Are you familiar with anything like this, daozhong? It seems rather difficult to believe, even though this lord is experiencing it for himself."

Party in the Underground: Part 2
"Holy shit, is that a chikorita?" Airplane muttered to himself, face and hands pressed up against the glass of the crane game. Crane game! They had phones and magic and pizza shops and crane games! This had to be a fever dream. He must have ingested some hallucinogenic flower pollen or been drugged or something because this was the kind of weird amalgam of real life and Proud Immortal Demon Way life that he sometimes had really messed up dreams of!

Though... his didn't normally involve pokemon. There were even pokemon he didn't recognize so like, that had to mean this was real, right? He definitely never imagined circus-seal pokemon. Too normal, really. The springatito (that was a pun in some European language... was it Italian? Yeah. Probably Italian.) was pretty cute though. Especially in plushie form. But the Chikorita... that had been his favorite of the second generation. And it was sitting there right on top.

"I need it." He said to himself, determined, and put his first coin in.

~two hours later~

"Please! I just want the chikorita! I'm trying so hard and I just got here and I don't have much money! Please just let me have it this time!" he cried, pounding half-heartedly on the glass as he stared at his phone's wallet and how much closer to zero the numbers in it were now.

He could finally go on his own pokemon journey. ignore that he's technically something like 70 or 80 years old in a body that looks mid-twenties at most. HE COULD BE THE VERY BEST!

Oh god. What pokemon did he want? Was he going to be disappointed if the didn't get something he already knew or would he be disappointed if he didn't get something he'd never heard of? Or, or, or... Ah what was he thinking? Of course he'd be happy with whatever he got! It was real life pokemon. Only the dream of every poor and destitute millennial who had wanted to escape their humdrum lives and live in a world where 10 year olds could go out and travel and explore the globe and no one was ever in any real danger of the dozens and dozens of crappy things real life could throw at you.

Waiting his turn, he bounced on his toes, too excited to keep still, and looked to the person closest to him, "Isn't this exciting? I am so pumped right now! What do you think you'll get? I wonder if I'll get a chikorita? Or one of those springatitos I saw in the crane machines! Oh! What if it's that funny looking seal one? Or a pikachu! No... no... I'm not lucky enough to get a pikachu. Those are iconic. The pokemon a protagonist gets. And I'm barely better than cannon fodder, so maybe, if I get really lucky, I might get an eevee. Those can be anything!"

[Calling whatever Kagami's found himself doing after arriving to be settling in would be a generous description, but he's doing...something. So far, whenever he's around people he's managed to keep up his pleasant persona without there being any cracks, treating the whole experience as carefree as if he were on vacation. Maybe he's too carefree. For right now though, he doesn't have to pretend for anyone. He's alone in his apartment, which he didn't particularly want but couldn't deny the convenience of.]

This prison's certainly nicer than my old haunt-oh!

[He can't hide his surprise when he nearly bumps into someone, jumping while trying to stifle a yawn. Well. Time to get back in character!]

[He's smiling and laces his voice with concern, but his eyes appear off. There's a dullness that doesn't match his animated voice.]

At times, he might even accidentally take something that isn't his, if it catches his attention for long enough! How weird!

He can't resist a visit to the vending machines and trying as many snacks as he can, but there's still one goal he hasn't accomplished. Snacking on some cake he's covered with spicy mayonnaise, he approaches the next person he sees with a little wave.]

Have you seen any shops that have cute clothes? I know I'm purehearted, but the ones I ended up with are sooo bland. It's depressing!

[Clearly this must be a dream. The dying leaves are beautiful and set the sky on fire, but there's a melancholy loneliness that saturates this world. Tugging in disapproval at her dress, Lucy starts to wander through the forest. She's no reason to be alarmed yet, so she makes the best of her surroundings. Even if her dress isn't cute.

It's only when she notices someone else waking up that a twinge of panic sets in. Her first instincts are to hide behind a tree-for all she knows they could have been behind her being here-but noticing the plain, boring white clothes, and observing their behavior, she finally approaches.]

[Lucy is no stranger to solitude, yet despite being surrounded by people she has never felt lonelier. There's plenty of distractions in this glamorous, ridiculous mall. So much so that it's almost stifling. But the small handful of people she could consider important, or at least who knew her, aren't here. She's alone. Alone, pulled here thanks to some strangers who will send her back as soon as she's outlived her usefulness, so she can't even appreciate the free apartment and being spoiled. Everything is temporary.

And as for Anne...

Something deeper than bitterness sours her expression, and, stubborn, she sweeps one thick red braid over her shoulder and chatters with a false sense of cheerfulness to herself, filling up some of the ambient noise.]

I'm not holding some stranger's hand no matter how much anyone wants me t-EEEK!

[The hole in the floor interrupts her, sending her down to a cloud of pillows. She might even accidentally land on someone else!]

She hugs a ridiculous amount of plushies in her arms until she reaches the poké ball vending machine. Figuring it's another plush machine, she's surprised to retrieve the poké ball while in a feat of talent, still balances all of the plushies in her other arm without dropping any of them.]

He has not moved or torn his gaze away from the spectacular sight in front of him for ten to twenty minutes, making "oohs" and "aahs" at the ocean, his eyes growing wider and wider until he finally snaps out of his reverie enough to look at anyone nearby, pointing with his uninjured hand at the water and flailing about in excitement.]

He's not the only one here. And it doesn't look like anyone knows any more than he does.]

[Well this has turned out both a lot simpler and a lot more chaotic than he expected. He came to the mall to see if he could work out a deal for some supplies for his rabbit, Smokey. What's actually happened is that apparently he's the lucky 77th visitor. Or the 15th. Or the 99th. He's gotten a hutch (assembly needed), a pet pack to keep her in, feeder, water bottle, food and litter...but no way he can get this all back to the apartment. But he needs the stuff, especially the hutch. He doesn't feel good about letting the rabbit roam when he's not around.]

I guess there's such a thing as too much good luck, huh Smokey?

[No answer from in the pet pack and he sighs, taking off the pack and sitting on the floor beside the hutch's box with the bag in his lap.]

Don't worry, I'll figure a way to get your stuff home.

[Having managed to get everything home and the hutch assembled, he's now free to just enjoy the mall. Now rabbitless, he's used a gift card and a restaurant, gotten a drink at a vending machine, and is just wandering around and taking in everything. And he finds the Pokeball vending machine. And that means he's soon walking around with a content-looking Cyndaquil clinging to his head. But he's content with that himself actually.]

( It's strange and disorientating to wake up in a place that isn't your own bed. Even more strange to wake up outside in clothes that you don't recognize at all. She could have sworn that she had just been preparing to train with her class and another. It was like she had blinked and then suddenly woken up without really realizing she had been asleep to begin with.

Not to mention – wasn't it just winter? As someone who can't exactly handle colder temperatures, the spring breeze and the cherry blossoms were a welcome change for her. That doesn't make it any less alarming, though... Where exactly were her classmates? And why did it seem so empty here?

A quiet ribbit escapes her before she realizes it, but she pays it no mind, wide eyes looking around before she takes a step forward. She'll keep her wits around her regardless. )

This doesn't seem like something a villain might do, but what's the purpose of separating me from my friends?

( She doesn't recall any of the students in the other class having a power like this one, and her match hadn't even started.... Was this some sort of illusion? If it was, it was definitely convincing. Or, had she really been taken somewhere else entirely?

She raises a hand, catching a cherry blossom. For someone who seems to be newly arrived, she's certainly calm. )

This doesn't seem like any place I've seen in Japan before.

( There's a hint of nerves in the way she speaks, her gaze downcast and thoughtful for a moment – but her brows furrow after a moment. It's strange to think that they would pick her. She has experience with helping others, but not as much as others back at home.

She points to herself, tilting her head a bit. )

Wouldn't it have been better to pick a hero with more experience?

( She's not saying no, mind you. She'll do what's needed to be done just as she always has. She's never been one to hesitate to do what she believes to be right or needed for the sake of others. )

( Shopping centers weren't exactly anything new for her, but it feels exciting to come nonetheless. If anything, she only wishes that some of her friends from home were here – even if she didn't exactly want for them to be away from there, either. It's a conflicting feeling, and a bit lonely – but, she focuses on taking in whatever sights she can.

Considering that she doesn't exactly have much money here, she's careful in what she ends up spending her money on. However, it's the Pokeball vending machine that eventually does catch her eyes. There's no doubt some sort of unique surprise in each ball, despite looking identical to one another. )

Why only limit to one person? ( Wouldn't it be better for the business if she could buy more than one? Or, were their limited supplies? Either way, she's curious enough to put the money forward towards purchasing one.

Little does she know that she'll be receiving a Froakie! Before opening the ball, she'll hold the ball thoughtfully in her hands. )

I don't know what a Pokemon is, but they must be pretty popular if they're limiting them like this.

I. Arrival

MK had woken up in a field of leaves in a forest. He didn't remember going out to some middle of the nowhere part of Flower Fruit Mountain for a nap! Heck, last thing he remembered was he at the beach with his friends! Now he was here and his clothes all white? He had on his headband, white. His jacket, white. Shirt, pants, shoes; all white! It was so weird.

Then he was taken to another room where some hologram guy told them why he was here. Another world needed him to save it? Well, it was the Monkie Kid. A hero. Saved all of reality and the world like a whole bunch of times. Though, a dark thought ran through MK's mind about making things worse. No. He could help leave this place better than he found it.

As long as he did that, it would be okay.

Right now, MK was in the building next door to the information place. He was gonna get a room, free meals, and then have to find a job.

"Well, I hope some restaurant needs a delivery boy. I can do that. Heck, I'll be the best delivery boy here! Yeah!" He said to himself. Out loud. Very loudly.


II. Party in the Underground

A huge city-wide party? Heck yeah! Free coins! Awesome! And now he was in front of a whole row of vending machines! He'd gotten tokens for them and now it was time to get stuff! And it wasn't just sodas and food. It was all sorts of cool stuff! First, he got some food, of course. He was hungry. A couple drinks too. Then time to see what else he could find. He didn't have infinite tokens, after all. Gotta pick something good. Plushies! And one was of a fire monkey! Oh he had to get that one. Sure, it cost his tokens he but gladly paid them. He pulled the little thing out and turned to the nearest person.

"Look at it! Ain't he cute!" He grinned like the happy little idiot he was.


III. Welcome to Our Darkside

Running around the Mall and seeing all the things wasn't a great idea. After all, MK had no real impulse control and just let his wondering attention take him anywhere. Which was why he ended up in The Casino. First, accidental teleporter, then wondering around the strange bottom level of the Mall. The Slot Machines with their shiny lights and fun symbols caught his attention. Which MK pulled the lever on a machine a few times, not realizing his rising debt.

That was until he got pulled off and into a back room. He was told of the huge debt he racked up but an easy way to pay it. Let them test some new medicine on him. Medicine helped people, right? MK had no money and sure this was sketchy but maybe it was okay. He agreed. The hologram had said he was here to help. One physical exam and a strange pill later, MK was let go. He felt a little queasy after he stumbled back out. Had to be nerves, right? He headed back to the apartment buildings. His excitement over everything dying down a little now.

Knuckles was not happy, he did not like stepping into a portal that was meant to take him home only to end up in some white room and being expected to fix someone elses world, he had enough work fixing the island!
And the touching thing? Talk about ridiculous. He could worry about touching and weird new powers or whatever later. What he was concerned with right now, was Tails.
They had both stepped though the portal together so he had to be here as well right?
So Knuckles quickly left the arrivals hall and left for the building next door, not because he wanted his tempory apartment but because if he had been directed here, Tails would have been too. He did not pay as much attention to the man giving him is keys as he should have, more focused on looking for the little two tailed fox.

“Tails? Tails!” Knuckles called not understanding how only he was called here.

Eventually Knuckles had to be practicable, he was stuck here for a while and his… “hosts” had giving him a roof over his head and money to look after himself for a short time before he was expected to look after himself.

There was however a problem.

Knuckles was hungry, and he had no idea how grocery shopping worked. He had followed his nose to the restaurants in the mall had watched people go in hand over money and get food. It looked simple enough, maybe, but everything was so loud and there was so many people he was getting a headache Is this what life was like on he surface back in his own world?
