About My Character: For those who have played FE: Three Houses and know Byleth from there... Hopes Byleth is more than a little different. He's a renowned mercenary known as the Ashen Demon, feared for his seemingly lack of emotion in cutting down his enemies and being one of the strongest warriors in Fódlan - also one of the very rare few capable of combining magic with his sword skills to be a mage knight. He's not used to socialising (in canon, he even says how strange he finds it that no one's scared of him and treats him cordially when he's recruited) and has difficulty in detecting sarcasm or jokes. He even practises his smiles in an attempt to be more approachable... oh, and he's also the vessel for the progenitor god Sothis that grants him the ability to manipulate time too, but he treats this as such an unimportant fact.

Despite his reputation, Byleth is a genuinely kind person who detests senseless killing. He feels compelled to help those who are struggling, and has a soft spot for animals or cute things. The only issue is his shocking lack of social skills sometimes have him come across as... either rude at worst or just plain weird at best. He was basically raised in the woods by his mercenary father and never ventured into areas more populated than a small village so... yeah. Talking to people, socialising, expressing himself and all that stuff is hard for him. It's something he's very self-conscious about too.

CR I'm Looking For: Any and all! Fishing buddies! Questing buddies! S-Socialising buddies? I have an open catch-all post here for any who just want to jump right in, or I've got a TDM if none of those prompts catch your eye.

Plots I'm Looking For: Honestly, I'm easy for anything? I'm having fun with Byleth just vibing in Seasons since I have him in a plot-heavy game elsewhere, but if anyone wants to rope him into anything, I'm game!

yes! i'm more than happy for these two to keep on socialising! he chose the last hobby (fishing) so it's nen's turn to pick their next activity :3c

yeah! byleth needs more friendly people in his life! he's so used to rough mercenaries or people being scared of him, so it's good ;w;

Byleth is so endearing... I've been staring at his prompts forever, but he has so many on offer that I can't make a decision! I tried to kind of narrow it down in case you have a preference (thanks in advance for bearing with me...)

TDM: Either one of the "overground" prompts (sadly Hijikata's calendar is booked for the upcoming full moon cycle, otherwise running into Byleth's monster form would have been one hell of a first meeting!)
Quests: Plant Octopi Are Evolving and/or Ice Cold Reflections
Random Encounters: Abandoned Farm (Hijikata isn't supposed to go out into the Segments on his own, but he kind of feels like the Spring Segment is comparatively safe, despite recently nearly having gotten eaten by a slime toad...)

Alternatively I'll keep an eye out for future opportunities!

Aw I'm glad you enjoy Byleth so much! If you want help choosing which prompt to go for hmmm, maybe the TDM one? I feel like that's a good way to have a first meeting (if only for Hijikata to experience being steamrolled by Byleth's terrible social skills)! Either that or maybe Abandoned Farm!

I'm also planning on hitting up the beach episode log this week! Once I get the energy... (we're in a heatwave atm and it's sapping all my energy weh)

I'll probably flip a coin between those two!! Don't worry at all about Byleth's social skills, Hijikata's are bad too. (And best of luck surviving the heat wave; I know what that's like!)
