Good man... and yeah, between Flynn's earnestness and Hijikata's bluntness their communication works out! But if they ever end up at the point where Flynn is smashed drunk, Hijikata will probably be, too. They'll wake up in the morning halfway in/on a vending machine or something (Hijikata's been there before).

I'll start an NPC meeting thread up at some point this week and link you! 💪🏻

That's true. However, if Hijikata gets drunk, Flynn will help him some place COMFORTABLE. Just saying.

Bless you, Flynn.♡ He is such a good man!!

Since Flynn encouraged Hijikata to talk to the native power holders I went for it with just him, and he's been gathering some interesting information! He'll ask Dawn how much of it she's comfortable letting him share with (select) others, and unless they're trying to keep the investigation part tightly under wraps Hijikata will tell Flynn everything they talked about. We can play that out some time soon, or else handwave it!

Also, Flynn likes Hijikata so of course he will look out for him. He would love to work with him too even if right now he's not sure WHAT to do. Police seems like a good path so they can at least see each other sometimes at work after the two months are up.

Whether as policemen or guild adventurers, they'll have plenty of opportunities to work together! It's funny to me that Hijikata works with Flynn so easily when he always butts heads with his assigned partner Dojima, but that's just like for him.

As for the current quest, should we have the ice maidens take a liking to Flynn, drop the illusion and try to capture him? (He is cuter than Hijikata...) They can fight their way out of that (Hijikata's fire should come in handy)!

Sure, Flynn doesn't realize he is appealing in many ways to people so he will definitely be like: uhhh? time to fight?

It's sure to be a fun time. Also, Flynn works well with just about anyone here, but in his own world he's just called an upstart knight for a long period of time. Now he works with the Emperor closely so no one really says anything anymore.

He likes Hijikata though, he reminds him of a certain someone.
