I fell behind so much that you tagged me on the TDM before I managed to tag you here... RIP

I basically wanted to forewarn you that Hijikata's understanding of what's going on in AoT is more or less that of our local Jean and Mikasa, only with much less background understanding! After seeing no less than 3 horrible portal memories of titans wrecking everyone's shit he's even more "ARGH I HATE TITANS AND ESPECIALLY TITAN SHIFTERS (except Eren)"... and Jean forewarned him about Reiner being here now, so this is going to be a disaster. 🍿

But you probably already knew all that (and what a disaster man Hijikata is) from the other AoTs! Honestly, I think without all the horrible baggage he'd really like Reiner as a person, and I hope they can eventually get there, but first he'll be a complete bastard to him - once he realises that the happy boy with the happy Turtwig is REINER BRAUN THE ARMOURED TITAN, that is. Let's let them enjoy some brief happiness first. 🥲

yessss i heard about hijikata from the other aots and was like '👀!!! /rubs hands together, i want this cr.' 😂 totally cool with reiner getting a negative first reaction!! lbr he deserves it, even if he will make a 😢 face.

i don't think it'll come up anytime soon, but is there anything you'd like me to avoid mentioning icly? reiner is from around the same canon point as jean & mikasa, so he doesn't come with Future Spoilers™; however, he does have alllll the deets on the outside world, the truth about the island where jean lives, etc.

but yes, let's let them have a happy moment with their pokémon before reiner is all 'tis i, reiner braun, That Traitorous Bastard' 😂

The entire AoT cast hurts me so much... it makes me so happy to see all of them alive, but it makes me so sad to see how goddamn traumatised they all are!! But what can you do. 🥲

No need to avoid any spoilers; I more or less got the gist of what happens in the end (my heart couldn't handle properly following along anymore, but my curiosity made me glimpse at spoilers!). It'll throw Hijikata for such a loop to potentially hear the other side of things at some point, oh man.

He'll probably do a complete 180° turn on Reiner in this thread, and I already feel bad for him... but don't we all live to make our characters' lives hard? 🔥
