You arrive in an unknown space, dressed in white clothes (player choice what kind of clothes, as long as they cover everything). Whatever was happening to you before no longer happens. It's like everything was put on a pause and you were transferred away from the situation without you realizing it happened.
The space that you find yourself in is one of these four options:
An empty landscape filled with snow and ice, almost like a blank canvas.
A field with cherry blossom trees and spring flowers.
A sunny beach near an ocean that seems never ending.
A quiet forest with falling autumn leaves.
All of the spaces seem to continue endlessly. No matter where or how far you walk it almost seems like you're not moving at all. There are no animals here - just those who happened to wake up there at the same time, in the same place. Everyone is wearing the same kind of plain, white clothes.
Despite the possible rollercoaster of emotions you might be feeling, the place somehow feels familiar. Like somehow you belong there.
And it looks like you're not alone.
After half an hour has passed the surroundings change as everyone is teleported into a room with all the other new arrivals, no matter what space they woke up in. It's a large place with plenty of seats to sit in and beverages to enjoy. Medical attention is offered to those who need it and the doctors here are very prepared for any challenging situations.
Here, in this room, everyone gets an answer to where they are and why. A hologram of a man appears at the center of the room, waiting to be heard. He brings a message on behalf of the leaders of Ellipsa.
The Message [ Click to Expand ]
Hello, my name is Olwen. I'm one of the leaders of Ellipsa as it currently is. I'm also one of the four who summoned you here.
Our world is in trouble and we need your help. I apologize for tearing you away from your world and forcing you to come here but I hope you understand. The magic we used doesn't let us ask in advance, nor does it let us choose who we bring here.
This world is composed of four Seasonal Segments. All of them represent one of the seasons. They were the places we used to get our resources from, but now they're dangerous places no one should go into unless they have the power to fight back. All of them have their own sets of powerful monsters and natural catastrophes.
We used to have plenty of people here who could control the powers of the four Seasons. We called them Seasonal Power Holders. Unfortunately, due to a tragedy you can read about later, we lost almost all of them. Now only four of us remain and the world is in chaos. We have done our best to protect the world, but we need more power holders to do that.
That's where you come in.
All of you have been assigned to one of the seasons. Whatever space you were in just now is what season you represent. You will learn different skills based on the season and those skills are going to help you save this world.
These powers don't interfere with your own natural powers. They use a new energy that has formed inside of you. It's harmless to your health, but it's vital to your seasonal powers. Your own powers should still work, even if the dark energy outside the city might interfere with them.
Unfortunately bringing you here wasn't as simple as it sounds. We couldn't do anything about how to keep you anchored to this world other than making a simple spell that helps with it. That is, you need to touch someone else who is not from this world ideally at least once a day. It will help you stay in control of your powers and boost your magical energy. If you don't, the consequences aren't very good. But as long as you hold someone's hand or give someone a handshake, you should be fine.
That's all I have to say about the situation. The staff of the Research Center will give you more information about housing and other necessary things. I will, however, promise that you will be sent home once the situation becomes better. That's the least we can do.
The hologram can be viewed in private in a separate room later, should someone wish to look at it again. For now, the staff of the Research Center hands everyone their new smartphones with their small flower lucky charms (the flower is anything the player decides). They're also told that the building next door is where everyone can find a room assigned to them with some of their belongings there and possibly even any animal companions. Those concerned about their mount-sizes companions are welcomed to the stables downstairs to see if their friends are there. The mounts are allowed to stay there until you find a place more suitable for them.
Once you get your smartphone and necessary information, you're urged to go out and find your apartment. After that whatever you want to do is up to you.
Part 3
The building next door is where everyone can find their new apartments. As you enter, you're told by a friendly native that for the first two months you can live anywhere rent-free and five meals a day are paid for you. After that they get a monthly payment that helps with some of their living expenses, but otherwise they have to have a job to support themselves.
All of the apartments are comfortable, two bedroom apartments with all necessary utilities. They are also completely soundproof. Sometimes the magic system, however, does glitch and you might find yourself rooming with a stranger. This is not the intention and the staff will immediately prepare you your own room if you ask them. But maybe having a roommate isn't all that bad?

The city outside the Research Center and the apartment building is a very futuristic and bright place. There's a lot of fancy technology and the weather seems almost too perfect all of the time. Even the weather here is artificial and doesn't feel natural at all. This is the center of the whole Nightwake City and it's called the district that never sleeps for a good reason. It feels like any time of the day you choose to go out there's something going on.
Everyone was given some money on their money app BankCrow to spend. Why not go for the Gacha Restaurant on the main street if you're hungry? You can either choose what style/type of food you want (different cuisines, pizza, junk food, etc) OR pick any ingredients and list your allergens before rolling the gacha machine and what comes out is a meal that fits your choices. Most commonly they're mediocre quality (2-3 stars), slightly rarer are the very bad and very good dishes (1 stars and 4 stars) and the rarest of them all is the golden 5 star dish that is the most delicious and sophisticated meal you'll ever taste. But hey, at least the drinks are all the same no matter what meal you end up getting.
If the futuristic city style isn't for you, there are other district with various different atmospheres waiting for you just outside the city center.
In the District Spotlight [ Click to Expand ]
Blossomcrown is a modern city, but not as futuristic as the central district. Cherry blossom trees have been planted on the side of the streets to give some color for the otherwise gray scenery. It's a busy place with a central park full of spring flowers in the middle, that gives some much needed peace and quiet from the hustle and bustle of the city. There's even the famous Botanical Garden open to all visitors. It's a home to many exotic plants that can't be grown anywhere else (that's safe, at least). There are also plenty of butterflies and bees living in the gardens. Attached to the building it also a flower shop where anyone can purchase a plant for themselves - they're even divided by suitability for each district. But if plants aren't your thing, why not check out the concert venue, which is an arena made for holding concerts. It can be transformed into both an outdoor and indoor venue by opening or closing the roof. Anyone can book the venue to hold a concert as long as they have the funds to do it. They will even advertise your concert for you everywhere!
Those who really just want to see something that's not a city, why not try Frostreign? Sure, it's very cold but there aren't very many buildings. It's more like a small village in the middle of Eternal Winter. The easiest ways to move around here are sledding, skiing and sleigh rides, where either excited huskies or chill reindeers will take people on a ride around the district. There are some snowmobiles too for those, who want to try them. One of the most popular locations is the giant, nevermelting ice castle in the center of the town, where kids love to play hide and seek. It's also a popular locations for dates, as the natural magical crystal lights inside the castle make the place look romantic. Another popular spot is the ice hole, where some brave souls go either swimming and some others at least try staying in the icecold water for a little moment before running to the Sauna Spa! It's an area full of different kind of saunas but it also doubles up as an inn, and due to knowing Otherworlders were going to come today, it's even available for booking!
Those who want to test out their powers right away, Dayrise is the place to go! The Grand Colosseum is designated for power holder practice for at least the following week. After that the natives would like to watch sports again rather than continuous fighting, but even then you're welcome to use the colosseum when there's a chance. After testing your powers, the luxurious baths of Dayrise are a good treat. They're all public baths and none of the natives are ashamed of being naked for hours with strangers. They will also encourage anyone coming with a towel to throw it away.

Around the city of Nightwake, Valentine's Day is being celebrated. There are plenty of decorations, all in pastel colors (mainly pink). The Spring Segment districts have also contributed by giving all other districts flowers for decorations for some pleasing aromas. Most of the restaurants also have discount for those who dine together instead of alone.
There are plenty of treats that lift up your mood. Eating too much of the treats results in becoming very clingy to the next person they see. The effect usually wears off in half an hour, but it could take longer depending on how many treats you've eaten.
Another popular Valentine's are the game stalls that are intended to be taken on as couples. Anything you win will only be given to your partner. If you play alone, all you get is a round of applause even if you'd do a new high score. These game stalls include a lot of classic from carnivals and festival, racing with horses or vehicles and even video games.
Each district has a small stall that acts as a starting point for the main Valentine's Day challenge. The goal is to travel from one check point to another within the district while holding hands with someone. There is a small task to be done at each checkpoint (like eating a full course meal or popping balloons while still holding hands). The point is to never let go of your partners' hand. Once the pair gets to the end of the course they get a reward.
The reward for getting past the course is a free item from Riki's Rewards (any prize) and a pair of friendship bracelets that sends messages to its pair bracelet (like "I miss you", "Let's meet up").
Exploring the city isn't something that interests you? Well, the four bridges that lead to the Seasonal Segments are always open and you're definitely allowed to go outside. However, due to the summoning magic, the dark energy outside the city has temporary gone haywire and all of the Segments are suffering from their natural disasters at the same time.
Winter Segment is suffering from a raging blizzard and the usual beautiful landscapes are just a white blur for the time being.
Spring Segment is in the middle of a hurricane, with all of the lightest beings being picked up and tossed all over the place with the wind.
Summer Segment is literally on fire. Only the rain forests and jungles, as well as the Great Ocean Lake are safe from it.
Autumn Segment is suffering from a thunderstorm. Chances of getting struck by lightning are quite high should someone step in.
If you're prepared for the weather, no one is going to stop you from going out to explore. It might be a good idea to bring a friend with you. Luckily, the natural catastrophes calm down after two days and the Segments are more normal after that. So it might actually be worth a while to wait before going out.
After the storm the sun shines and sheep appear [ Click to Expand ]
When you venture out to the Spring Segment after the storm, there's a herd of Fabric Sheep wandering near the Flower Yard. These sheep are tame and while they usually run and hide, sometimes they look for people to help them get their wool sheared. Luckily natives on the Dayrise bridge are handing out shearing scissors for those who would like to help.
The sheep get scared very easily, but if you don't make too many sudden movements, you will be able to do your job easily. The sheep might even boop you gently as a thanks before heading off again. If you're mean to sheep, however, you might get an angry Gravity Goat chasing you.
Anyone who visits the Flower Yard of any of the Segments will hear a story from a native there. A story of the magic that has been put in place that lets all the otherworlders "respawn" to their respective Flower Yard if they die in Ellipsa. The flower will be the same as it is in everyone's charms. The natives say that more details can be asked from the main four seasonal power holders, but that they've heard it's painless for otherworlders to emerge from the flower.
After the Segments have settled down, a message appears on everyone's smartphones. Everyone is invited to join some observational cruises at the Airship Station in Nightwake District. There are four different ships leaving at the same time, but if you come back again later you will be able to go to them all eventually. The trip targets are the Seasonal Segments. Of course, there are long instructions as to how one should dress to handle the different weather they would be experiencing while in the air. You have time to shop as the invitation is open for a good while.
The Airship Station is a very modern, almost futuristic, place with a lot of docks with various airships lined up. Most of the ships there are used for in-city transportation and there are various holographic displays that tell how many ships are available and where. Various restaurants are also found here and view from the ones on top of the building is amazing. There's time to look around, but your final destination is the biggest docks at the end of the station.
The point of these cruises is to give otherworlders a chance to see what the Segments are like without interacting with the monsters down below. The ships will fly to the airship station of each Segment and then come back a different route to cover as much of the segment as possible. In total the trip is said to take four days.
Because of the length of the trip, everyone has been provided with a simple two to four person cabin (with their own bathroom/shower) and three meals are served per day throughout the trip. Snacks can also be found from the cafeteria and they're free of charge.
Enjoy the view, bond with your fellow passengers and relax. Staying on the deck is safe, especially if you don't start leaning over the rails to look down.
The old lady and her cats [ Click to Expand ]
Each airship station in the segments is unique in their own right. They're not very well-kept like the one in the city and various weather changes have definitely modified them to look old and worn down.
Strangely enough, each of the airship stations has someone living there; an old lady with a herd of different cats depending on the season: winter cats are spirits that can be seen by anyone due to them taking control of stuffed animals, spring cats are part flowers, summer cats look like small lions or tigers and autumn cats are essentially the same as will-o'-the-wisps but in cat shape.
The old ladies explains that they are quite comfortable living there and don't have any plans to "evacuate". They will kindly decline anyone who tries to help them. The airship staff explains there are some special arrangements in place to help them live in the stations as those are safe places to stay in.
Each of the ladies will tell you a story. Winter lady will talk about the Watchtower and who used to live there, spring lady will tell all about the abandoned farm and its owners, summer lady talks about the abandoned castle and its royalty and autumn lady tells about the abandoned mansion and who used to be the lord.
If you talk to the same lady again later the story is different. She tells a different version of the story every time she is talked to. No one is really sure which of the stories is true because of how many versions are circulating around.
The ships only stay docked at the station for as long as the staff of the airship delivers some food and other necessities to the old ladies and then it's back towards the city again. Of course, nothing stops anyone from leaving the ship and experiencing the segments themselves.

The AI paused at the door, hand holding the door frame as he glanced back at the other man.
This... did not make sense. How could a human tell so much? It was true, he had been practicing and studying on appearing more human-like, especially as necessary as it was with taking on the Professor's role, to 'convince' Clavell and Arven of who he was--
But he was not acting this time. He was not trying to appear as the professor. So how could--
And, most of all, how could this human who just minutes ago was barely saying anything at all to him, determine so much? He had seemed deeply preoccupied with whatever his goal had been to be paying attention to him, much like the professor.
It was just...
Difficult for him to compute. Fingers flexing on the wood of the frame as he tried to assess an appropriate response from the thought patterns and memories of the professor.
"...I will once I have completed my task, I promise."
He had a task to complete. That took priority. He could last that long without needing to deal with his held back responses. Leaving the room fully, he called over his shoulder, as if to reassure the soldier-
"Please do not worry about me."
He... did not know how to comprehend concern. Much like with Clavell--
He was just an AI copy, after all. He was not human, though perhaps this man had not noticed that yet.
no subject
Looked exhausted just sitting there, despite the rigidness to a posture that was made to look relaxed; something practiced to be deceptive, the edge of tension along shoulders.
"Mm," just a hum. An acknowledgement. Whatever you say.
Was it worry? Even he couldn't tell if that was the word he'd describe it with.
Still, while Turo was off to fetch that bag? 76 did push himself up onto his feet just so he could gather up the black towels and set them aside for now. Check over the bandage wrapping down at his side, a hand smoothing over it at his back just to check over the work done out of habit.
... Should he really be staying?
no subject
Observation: Strikingly blue eyes. Colour spectrum- several matches, most significant by percentage:
The ocean in summer at the Poco Path Lab.
--An odd observation to make, but one that was true none the less. Even if the man's expression was more pressing of a concern.
...Why did it feel like he had disappointed the man?
Going into the kitchen, opened a few cupboards to find where the glasses were held, using tap water to fill it up. Hopefully 76 would be alright with unfiltered water, as he doubted there was much to do about at the moment. From there, moving back to that center table, placing the glass down while he moved to gather up the duffle bag--
And pause a moment, noticing writing on it. What was this--
...Was this 76's real name? The AI could not help go over popular boy's names that started with J-
James, Jacob, Juan, John, Jeremy, Jack--
With 'Morrison' as his family name.
...Well. It did not matter in the moment. Right now, 76 wanted to keep his name a secret, so the AI would respect that, filing this information away for another time. He slung the bag over his shoulder (noting that, for a regular human, this would be quite heavy) and had reached for the glass when something caught the corner of his eye.
Red.
In his hurry, he had forgotten the original bandages 76 had been wearing, still on the table behind the duffle, white and red and--
--Physiologic Emotional Response Override at Limit. Forced Unlock.
"--M-mıərda-"
The AI fell onto one knee, as his core was completely overwhelmed with physical sensations he had been holding off.
Stomach turning concern, shaking hands and arms, feeling as if his head was swimming--
--But mixed in with all these unpleasant sensations was deeply pleasant ones as well. A deep warmth spreading from his hands to his center, soothing and reassuring, his mind unable to keep up with the contrasting sensory overload.
W-what was going on--?!
no subject
He was moving through that doorway and to where he'd heard the sound of what was -didn't take much of a guess- Turo falling onto a knee there in the kitchen area of the apartment. Eyes briefly flickering around before he was already at the man's side and was grabbing his bag just to get it out of the way.
Duffle would be fine tossed to the side.
"Hey, can you hear me?" Other hand already on one of Turo's shoulders, not shaking, just acting as a sort of firm weigh to indicate where he was.
"Just nod or shake your head if you can't get words out."
no subject
"76--I'm sorry."
He had not wanted to worry the man-- He opened his mouth to speak again--
"I'm sorry, 76--"
Not again. Just went it mattered most, just like when the children had come to the 4th Research Station--
"I’m s-s-s-s-s-sorry. Sorry. S-s-s-s-s-sorry. I-I-I I-I-I’m sssssssssorrrrrrrrrrrr-rrrrrry-eeeeee 7--7--7--6-666--"
The distortion was completely evident in his voice, unable to hide it any longer. His expression taking on one of utter frustration and fear-
"--6-6-6-6-7-7-7-7--"
no subject
76 was already moving, an arm slipping just under Turo from where he'd fallen to that kneel as the other was bracing against his back, scooping him right up into arms. Lifting with knees rather than back, an easy motion as if Turo were just a regular man.
"Sort through whatever you've got to, I've got time- and you."
Carrying the other then as he- well, 76 did briefly pause. Looking between the doorway to one of the bedrooms and the couch, brow furrowed before just, letting out a huff.
Going right back through the bedroom doorway as he sat on the floor with his back braced against the bed. Knees bent as he just held the other like that. Clearly this was some sort of- fit wasn't quite the right word, but it was the first that came to mind. Figured there was a lot that needed to be processed here and- well.
"Take the time you need."
1/2
That was...! He was twice the weight of a man his size and height, due to the nature of the materials that created him. How was he lifting him so--!?
--Ah, that increased healing factor-- that was not the only thing that had been given to him to 'endure', wasn't i...it...
--It was no good. He could not focus on that line of thought, not when everything, was hitting his system all at once.
So he had almost missed how he was now settled in the man's lap on the floor, but he had caught his words--
'Sort through whatever you've got to, I've got time- and you.'
'Take the time you need.'
... N-No one had said words like that to him, before. In memories of the professor, yes, but to him--
Especially now that, he knew--
Knew he... wasn't, human--
no subject
There was nothing for it. His system was jumbled inside and out--
76 would see the eyes go from regular brown to glowing teal and black, before his form would go limp in his arms, eyes completely dark--
And then come back to life again, eyes glowing teal and flickering back to a 'natural' brown.
"--Processing at 50% capacity..."
Damn it. This may take a few attempts to clear up.
no subject
More so if one only got him back up to half. Fingers tapped lightly before he shifted enough to get a bit more comfortable, incidentally setting Turo's head to rest against 76's chest with how he was being held there.
"Like I said- I've got you. Do what you need to for this."
Even if that meant a few more of those... restarts.
no subject
It was unsurprising, really. If the AI thought about it.
This had been, after all, one of the most... distressing days of his existence.
An existence he thought was about to end, until he had woken up in that snowy plain.
The children's descent through Area Zero-- where he could do naught to help them, forced simply to watch. Worried the entire way but feeling he could not show it, least he make them more fearful.
Them being attacked by the Pokemon once they entered the lab, the Miraidon running wild again, before meeting Julianna... and explaining near everything to her.
"Please, defeat me."
Being forced, as he predicted, to fight her, forced to watch as the Defence Program went all out to defeat her.
...Finally... Seeing Arven face to face. Finally able, to say something of his... and the professor's feelings--
...And then the Paradise Protection Protocol. The sour, sick feeling of now knowing how far the Professor was willing to go, how... how he was going to--
How he had nearly--
"Please ffffvforgive ..." him, forgive him for putting you all in danger, he had not known, he could never have believed that Professor Turo truly would--
He winced, a gasp leaving him in the other man's arms, a hand reaching to clutch at it.
He... did not understand, why the man was staying with him--
76 had no reason to--
But... the AI deeply... appreciated it.
no subject
He glanced down at Turo when he felt the clutching, other hand shifting to rest just against the man's head. Still kept it rested there against his chest, half-cradling the guy because he really did seem like he needed it. Hell of a day may have been putting it lightly.
"No rush."
Reinforcing the fact that he had meant it; take whatever time was needed.
76 was fine remaining where he was.
no subject
"--Processing at 95% capacity"
Strength came back to his limbs, his eyes opening to see...
Ah.
He had remembered 76 had picked him up, even held him, but was not able to truly process this until now.
...He could feel heat in his cheeks, but ignored it as another sign he'd need to do a full diagnostic scan at some point.
"I.. apologize, that you had to see me in such a state."
He was only an AI, but he still felt the Profesor's shame at exposing such weakness so easily.
He should, move--
"Your strength is... another adjustment made to help you 'endure'?"
no subject
"You're fine, and clearly needed to go through and let everything process." Better to get it done and over with to come out on the other end. Couldn't just leave him alone to do it, either. Seemed like something bad had happened before he ended up here- more so with the reaction to seeing 76 himself injured.
Was still keeping some hold on Turo as well, sitting there on the floor with him.
"Basically, yeah- also faster, and a lot more agile."
no subject
He had no patience for his own physical pain, but for some strangers emotional distress-
Especially one who--
"Are you not perturbed that I am not--" his eyes turned from human brown and white to glowing teal and black, staring at him with confusion
"Not human?"
no subject
Well, perhaps not a whole lot, but enough of them he had worked with plenty over time. Sat in alley ways amongst some, or simply interacted with whenever he had to make a run. Part of life, even if folks were vocal on both sides over them.
"-They just weren't made to look human outside of a basic shape.
"So to be blunt? Outside of looks, you're nothing new for me. Just another guy, more or less." Another person that simply... existed here, caught up in this mess along with everyone else.
Shoulders shrugged ever so slightly, "Kinda figured you out before picking you up, too."
no subject
There was that feeling again-- a warmth within that simply felt...
Felt... good. It was difficult to describe, but he recognized it now as similar to the feelings that had overwhelmed him earlier. It truly must be from touch. From 76's body and hand on his head.
And right now... the AI could not help but feel as if he... needed it.
"... Where I am from, I am the only one of my kind."
How to explain? Should he explain...?
"...My creator, he is ...was, the true 'Professor Turo'. I... am merely an AI he created using his own memories and thought patterns."
His eyes looked away from the other man, feeling as if in the moment it was... too much to take in his expressions as well.
"--he was fascinated with these crystals that existed in great abundance in our Region, which he dubbed Terastal Crystals, and the energy within them. They were capable of many great feats, strengthening Pokemon-- ah, creatures that exist in our world-- and powering machines to their full potential."
Pray, the man did not mind hearing all this--
"...Using this terastal energy, he desired to bring Pokemon from a far flung future into our world, much like what was described in a book recording an expedition to the center of where the majority of these crystals were found-- the Great Crater of Paldea, aka Area Zero. He succeeded after much hardship and time, but... at great personal cost."
His eyes shifted back to black and teal for the moment, as if he could not help returning to how he had arrived in this world--.
"...During all this, I was created to help him. He lacked any assistants or peers to assist his endeavours and... had become rather paranoid of trusting anyone else. Thus, having 'two of him' was the solution he chose to follow."
A slow, unneeded breath, and he looked back up at Jack.
"Our world does not have the technology for AI's as complex as I-- the Terastal Crystals made is so I could exist, and... I assumed--"
He rubbed his head frowning,
"--Or the professor did, at least, told me that I could not leave Area Zero, the major site of those crystals."
But now he wondered; was it due to the fact he would cease functioning if away from the Crystals... or was it merely the Professor did not wish to reveal his existance to the world?
"... So you will... need to forgive me, for hiding my state of being from you, however poorly I did it."

Couldn't blame entire countries for still being so afraid, suspicious, that something like the Crisis could happen again. Even more so now with all of the tensions stirred up. He saw a lot as he traveled for his mission—
76 was quiet, and it was clear he was listening; even as his hand remained there on top of Turo's head. As if offering that bit of grounding, a simple sort of soothing gesture.
Knew someone similiar, but hadn't sunk so deep into that work and....
"And now you're here, still functioning," and whatever else had happened before the guy got pulled here. No wonder he was so overwhelmed, processing a lot of things. "Hell of a lot to take in- more so with how quickly things have been going, all in one day." Could do anyone in, really.
There was that slight shrugging of a shoulder again.
"You're fine- and can keep up hiding it from others if you want. I won't say anything."

Not always perfectly, but the attempt always made by the people and pokemon alike. Though 76 saying 'there are places' would mean in others, they do not co-exist well.
Something to note down and file away for now.
...Somehow he could not help but marvel at the other man. He'd been so... not aggressive, but on edge, so... paranoid? Was that the correct term? A mere 40 minutes ago(or perhaps it was closer to an hour, considering how long he'd taken to reset), and yet now...
It was a 180o in temperament... whatever had brought that on?
"...Yes. Today was... not what I would call my best moment, before or after coming here." To put it extremely lightly and as a huge understatement.
He sagged a bit in the other man's grip, sighing softly.
Things he did to appeal to his human memories, not his mechanical needs.
"I ... appreciate it, 76." Letting his eyes close, "It is not that I wish to hide my true self from others... It is simply that I do not know how to approach explaining my state to them, least of all..."
A... soft, humourless chuckle leaving him
"--the fact I do not have a name of my own."

There was still tension there along 76's shoulders, holding in his frame, but there was also something more there. An intentional softening and shielding of sorts with just how he had positioned them both. Made it easier for Turo to focus more on him than anything else.
Keep things calmer.
"Do you want to be called 'Turo', or something else?" Seemed better to ask than not. "Because I'll call you whatever you feel more comfortable with, buddy." Was calling him 76 and leaving it at that, may as well return the favor.
All the while, as Turo was settling there against him, fingers idly combed over hair. A slow motion meant to soothe.

...Huh. He had not truly... contemplated that question before.
"...I am unsure, to be frank. My taking his name was merely due to... necessity in a moment of crisis, which is... a very, long story."
One he would not push upon the other man. If anything, he needed a break from thinking about that situation himself.
"And the Professor... I am still determining how I want to think of the man my creator was." Because that was an entire other kettle of magikarps.
He tilted his head a bit, closing his eyes.
"--And yet, it is the name my memories... the Professor's memories, use the most frequently. As well as there being someone here who knows Professor Turo himself as well, before even my creation."

"If you're most comfortable with Turo, can still just go with it, rather than add to the trouble on your mind for now." Names could be something easily discarded, or they could be something so very important from person to person.
"Sounds like someone you can talk to, whenever you felt ready to approach some things when it comes to him."

--Though, that would imply all this time, 76 was also feeling this... Hrm. Perhaps that's why he seemed so... thrown off balance? He'd need to apologize for that.
...In a moment. Because... the darkness, and the touch, was. Appreciated.
"That is the simplest solution, it's true. Though it would be just my luck if the original Professor somehow came here--"
A slight shrug.
"--if this place is not limited by where it can pull people from, spatial wise, it would be logical to assume time is also a non-issue."
In other words, the Professor could be summoned from a time before his death. And admittedly... the AI would like to see him again. For several different reasons...
"... So if you and Clavell would be inclined to continue to call me 'Turo'... for now, at least, while I sort out my thoughts on the matter, I would appreciate it."
76 would remain here 'for now'. The AI would call himself 'Turo' 'for now'.
Lots of 'For Nows' in their current situation.
"... Thank you, 76."

It wasn't as intense as it had been during the cleaning and over-all dealing with the wound at his back after all.
"Won't have any argument for me- be only you I'd know by the name after all," no other connection was really there for him. Didn't know the man who'd created Turo so... he was Turo, until otherwise stated.
A faint hum-
"Hmm, welcome."
