Rumour Mill meme

Otherworlders have been in Ellipsa for a very long time now, they've had ups and downs along the way... so what rumours have spread about them while they've been here?
It could be anything misheard in the coffee shop, to scribbles on a back alley that someone wrote in a fit of anger... or even just someone too loud and proud who was overheard quite easily saying the wrong thing at the wrong time!
Go wild, and feel free to make a note of it people can make use of it in game for CHAOS.
- Post a comment to start some rumours/give suggestions what other people may have heard
- Respond to others with extra rumours that other characters may have started about them
- Go wild and discuss

...instead he'll simply sigh and take Hijikata's hand in his and squeeze it. His other hand will press gently onto his wrist.]
Honey, you're not exactly helping your case here.
no subject
How?! Anyway, don't "Honey" me after ruining my street credibility!! You may not give a damn if everyone from thugs to little old ladies things you're a wimp, but I have a reputation to uphold, do you understand that?
[Regardless of his complaining, he understands why Koro chooses to be a pacifist even if others treat him poorly. He knows of his background, after all, and how much he feels for others. Knowing that others look down on him for it annoys him all the more, to the point where he has half a mind to mix up any gangsters who mess with the incubus - but that definitely wouldn't alleviate the rumours about them.]

[Koro releases Hijikata's hand, and gives him a concerning look.]
no subject
[He takes a step back and glowers up at Koro.]
I'm not abusing my power, I'm just exerting it. You'd do well to stay out of my hair, else I'll go looking for a new masseur.
[That's an empty threat. He's pretty damn sure than no one else could knead his muscles like Koro.]
no subject
[Koro will just...pull Hijikata in for a hug. Yup yup, he is nuzzling his face into that hair.]
I knew it. You really like me. I'm so happy.
no subject
...
You're such an idiot.
[He doesn't push him away. Koro isn't wrong. Hijikata thinks that he's a tremendously kind person, and he wants him to be happy, even if this wasn't how he expected to see it come about.]
no subject
Not because he thinks lowly of him or looks down on him...as much as Hijikata would love to accuse him (or anyone for that matter) of doing.
But because he is human. A human with a strong sense of justice deep inside. A heart that is trampled upon by an even bigger ego. An ego that simply need to be tamed...and strengthened a bit so it's not so easily shattered.
...Koro is glad Hijikata can't read his mind and all the insults that are aimed at him.
But indeed...humans are such wonderful, complex creatures. Koro sighs into the officer's hair.]
Hiji...you know it's possible for people to fear you and look down on you, right?
no subject
Of course I know that. Being feared and hated is the lot of the police.
no subject
[He'll spare Hijikata the problems police are causing in his world. But that's not the point!!]
I'm not talking about cops I'm talking about you, mayo boy.
[Koro pulls away and proceeds to place his finger on the tip of Hijikata's nose...and push his head with it back and forth.]
You're always going on about how you hate it if people look down on you or think lowly of you. Yet your constant harassment of innocent people is only causkng precisely that. Sure they fear you, but not because you're a powerful authority figure.
It's not exerting your power. It's straight up abuse. Abuuuuuuuse.
[Puuuuush—]
no subject
[He grabs Koro's hand and keeps holding it none too gently.]
Stop playing shoulder angel, okay?! You aren't exactly cut out for that job!
no subject
Why? Because I'm a demon? Is that what you're getting at?
You'd rather I be a little shoulder demon instead? Hmm?
[Koro bites (well, mouths, really) Hijikata's hand, and soon after quickly pulls him onto another hug, placing his chin on his shoulders.]
⭐Hiji-pyon~ you should go harass some random bypassers and dump mayonnaise into their coffeeeeee~⭐
[He speaks with an odd, high pitched voice meant to imitate a tiny shoulder demon.]
no subject
Cut this crap out, you moron!! I'm so serious!! How's this devilish behaviour?! Adding mayonnaise to someone's coffee would be doing them a favour!
no subject
Ah, you're tickling me, Hiji~
[Koro murmurs into Hijikata's shoulder, referring to his elbow in his ribs.
The entire situation is just...adorable. It's like watching a young couple mess around. It's silly. Cute. Definitely not something that should be witnessed.]
You're too cute, I swear. One of these days I just...might...
[And so when Koro senses the presence of someone nearby, he freezes, and looks up.
Someone had been recording them. Someone who has noticed he's been caught, and starts running towards the end of the alleyway.
Koro turns back to Hijikata with a serious expression. As if to say "I got this."]
no subject
Get him, Koro!!
[Does he give a damn about my reputation after all?]
no subject
Before disappearing before Hijikata's very eyes.]
GAH! Wh-what the—!!
[Koro reappears before the perpetrator, blocking his exit. His expression is the same one he always has. Flat and stoic. And yet this time, there's something awfully threatening about it. Enough to freeze the man in his tracks, rendering him speechless.
Koro gently reaches over, caressing the man's trembling hand...and swiping the camera away from his fingers. He holds the camera up, and in a split second, he crushes the device into pieces with great ease. No struggle, no grunt, not even a twitch of his mouth or eye.
And it would have ended there. But the way Hijikata hyped him up like that...Koro couldn't help but show off.
And slowly he smiles. Not his usual smile that can be barely made out. No, this was something horrific. Sadistic. Inhuman. Slowly his mouth opens...and stays still as a voice speaks from inside.]
THOU SPEAKEST OF THIS...TO NO SOUL.
[Tears well up in the man as he nods, before running around Koro and running off.
And Koro's expression returns to normal...albeit filled with sorrow once he realizes the damage he's caused.]
1/2
2/2
So much for "abuse", huh?
[He said it a bit smugly, but seeing the remorse on Koro's face, he regrets it. He reaches up to rub his shoulder.]
Come on, don't feel bad. It's as I said; scummy shitheads need to be put in their place. It's not like you hurt him or anything.
no subject
No. That wasn't abuse. He wasn't an innocent passerby sharing petty rumors. He had bad intentions. He was a threat. In this case...you unleashing your katana would have been...over the top, but not unjustified.
[He leans over...and once again pushes at Hijikata's nose.]
You understand, mayo cappuccino? This is the difference between abusing power and exerting it on scumbags.
no subject
I see no difference between someone spinning damaging rumours and someone taking creepshots for the gossip press. We'll have to agree to disagree.
[He hesitantly draws back.]
Anyway, we should get back to what we were doing before we attract even more curious onlookers.
no subject
[Hijikata still didn't get it...but Koro loves that stubborn side of him, regardless.
Koro suddenly grabs his chest.]
Damn it...go ahead without me. Let them think you beat me up and left me here. I'll...catch up to you later.
no subject
Hey, what's wrong? Don't have a heart attack on me!
no subject
It'll...pass...I just...have to distract myself. Stop thinking about the guilt, you know? I'll just think of you in your underwear for a bit and I'll be good.
[Even though he's suffering the pain equivalent to a heart attack he still has the energy to crack jokes like that. A good sign, hopefully?]
no subject
This one time, I'll allow that. After all, it'd be a shame if you were wrecked by guilt over protecting my reputation.
[Never mind that they ended up in this compromising situation because Koro blurted out something that damaged his rapport!!]
no subject
The guilt is over me terrifying a human, not because of protecting you.
[Koro's subtle yet sorrowful expression returns again.]
I never want to see such an expression on someone because of me. I left Hell for that reason. I'm tired of it. Tired of being a monster.
[Koro clings onto one of Hijikata's wrist with a trembling hand, the other to preoccupied with holding onto his chest.
But... Hijikata's words do make the pain subside a little.]
no subject
[He caresses Koro's face, actually being gentle as he runs his fingertips up behind his ears and his thumbs across his cheeks.]
Next time, leave it to me. Okay? I have no such scruples. You're far too kind to be a demon.
[He, meanwhile, is perfectly equipped for the job - well, within the borders of his morals.]
